More programs? Please read!!!

hi, anyone know how to get programs to show up on the command bar for 2003se? i have a pick to give you a full understanding of what i'm taking about.
by the wifi and bluetooth on the bottom bar
How did you get them in the program bar in the first place? I'd like to have those shortcuts too.
Thanks, M
i'm trying to figure out how to do it myself. its from a guy that posted a review for the xda IIs and he had it on his phone.
Guys, read this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=34889&highlight=
I recommend you use phm tray launcher.
V
I don't see the point in having them there at all. Why not just put them in the start menu or SPB Pocketplus?
If its to monitor running progz fair enough, but for shortcuts it looks untidy and is bound to make the phone less stable, and lets face it, this phone doesn't need to be any less stable
Somehow SBP Plus seems to drain my memory, so I'm looking for alternatives & apperently PHM seems to use the relative empty programbar. I know it's not my home thread, but I stabilized my magician now & can explore new options.
Regards, M
phm is the way to go. here is were you can get it from

Got it, thanks. Will try it very soon as it is a msi & I'm not in the mood to use my desktop tonight.
Cheers, M

How to add shortcut in the new htc today plugin

hello
excuse my bad english
i've bought the HTC P3300
againt all reviews, i find it very speed (mor than S200 and much more than 9100) so i think not to install spb pocket plus that slows the machine (i know because i test it when i install it un S200)
so if i could creat more shortcuts in the taday page i think it will be enought for
But... How to add new shortcut in this new htc today page plug in
i think it must be very easy for some , but not form me
so thanks anyway for help
Carlos
Hi Carlos,
I don't think it can be done as there is no "Options" item
Imer
it can be done via registry settings, but as far as i know you can add no more than 4 aditional buttons
Yes, I have tried to add a 5° item, but nothing appeared ...
Imer.

Calculator???

Hi,
I have the T-mobile MDA Compact III, the Dutch version, with wifi and stuff. I also have a Qtek S200 and the first thing i noticed is that the Compact III has no calculator! This may seem like a small thing, but it bugs me as i got used to using it alot with the S200...
Any plugin or whatever to get a calculator??
Oh and while i'm asking, is there a way to change those freaky pink white colors of the phone pad? I can change theme in the notmal menus but the phone pad always stays with the T-mobile color scheme... any suggestions are welcome!
Thanks,
Rudy
Hmm... interesting. Anyway, there are tons of better calculator out there. I think the.. Omega(?) has a free calculator software.. and if you do a search on www.freewareppc.com, they ought to have a few .. much advance ones too.
Tons of phonepad available in this forum with iPhone wannabe to.. Vista look-alike. Easiest way to get rid of T-mobile stuff is to go Wiki (under WM5 tweak) to get rid of it and use the default.
Had the same problem.
There IS an calculator, only theres no shortcut made by TM
In the folder WINDOWS\calc.exe
there u got to be. ive made an shortcut to it with SPB Pocket plus.
and for the ugly t-mobile color, just install an skin for it. and do a soft reset.
excuse my bad english
Try tapping Start/ Organiser a new window will open desplaying icons for Claculator, Calendar, Notes and Tasks - Strange place to bury the calculator but it is there - Mike
when installing a skin for the phone pad, does it need to be unlocked first or something... and kindof a noob question, but will i lose my warranty?? Where can I download like legal themes for the PDA??
BTW, i found the calc just where you said it would be mike, And i linked it to my right software button!
Forget the CALC from Windows. Try searching for eval. Nice and free Calculator...
You will find it here

.. and some other nice and usefull programs

[ASK] Today plugin??

Hi all,
i am new to universal, just traded my trinity to a universal last week. i have been scouring the forum and the net for a good today plugin for the universal's vga screen. tried spb mobile shell - hogs the resource, tried pointui vga - even higher resource hog, tried htc home vga - too small, tried snapvue - almost stopped my device to a crawl, tried rl today - haven't figured out a good config and found it somewhat slow, and tried the advantage home plugin ( the totatl commander that looks like htc home)
can you guys recommend a good today plugin? and/or theme that's not so resource intensive? what do you guys uses the most? i basically just dreamed a htc home layout that's in the correct size and functional.
Cheers,
ps: please be nice if i posted this on the wrong section..

Is Battery Status available on your phone?
Battery Status is HIGHLY customizable.
that or you might wanna try Real VGA.
edit: i found it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=327830
they say htc home works great with it
Try ultimate launcher
thx guys, tried battery status default theme and works great. but switched to rl today with the cool vga skins. thanks guys!
hello
I'm a new user of universal. I use Ranju_v77_WM61_19900_19900_1_0_2.
When I try to instal Manila-Black0.3.1.VGA.Converted.By_Gentox.CAB installer works couple soconds and shows me:
"Converted in VGA by Gentox chriscsh Manila-Black" cannot be installed.
Trying to install in other locations and doing soft reset - doesn't helps
What shall I do??

Tasks (things to do) on today screen

Hi there,
does anybody has sugestions how to get due tasks on the today screen? my tp2 will arrive soon, and i'm still searching for a solution. I've tried out "Wisbar Advanced Desktop" and "Winterface", but both are not stable enough.
I'm currently using a TytnII with HTC home - works great for me.
Who has had the same problem and already found out a solution?
Or, if nobody has, is there a way to get the HTC Home Plugin for the TP2?
Thanks a lot!
Phil

I too am interested in this. I could never figure out why HTC omitted it from the home screen. It's a PDA for crying out loud.
I have found no way to get tasks to appear on the TF3D Home screen but on my TyTn I used SPB Diary to display appointments and tasks on the Today screen. Was very useful, too bad there is no option to place tasks on the Home screen in TF3D.
Work arround
Hello again,
i would like to push this up again and share an idea with you.
my idea is a small aplication which counts the tasks due today for example every 30 minutes ad creates an all-day appointment for the current day which can easyly be displayed on the todayscreen of TF3D/Manilla.
Unfortunately i have no idea how to create such an application, but i guess for some of the pros here it will only take minutes.
If it works it would be a nice solution.
Am i wrong?
Is nobody able to do it or nobody interested in it?
BUMP Please anyone? I would if I had a clue about how to. Maybe someone can create a tab for it?
After seeing this thread, I finally gave up and got a trial of SPB Mobile Shell 3.5. It's just ridiculous that they completely neglected tasks in the HTC-provided shell for a phone that's supposed to be for business. After a week of SPB, I was totally sold and bought a llicense. I'm still loving it. It even gave me 5% more memory on startup than Manila 2.1.
You can try a combination of SecondToday (I have it mapped to my left soft key) and the pocketbreeze 5.5 public beta 2.
