Hello
I have an original ROM from my operator (Orange) with WM5. Unfortunately they have not yet put a ROM on their Website.
Now i want to test the WM6 ROM for Artemis, but: I want to be able to go back to my original ROM if needed.
So is there any possibility to dump the ROM (and Radio) anywhere, so that I can reflash it with it?
Is there any manual for that available?

Well, yes I say its quicker amnd more stable than the imate rom.
Althought the RADIO rom is not as high so I left the imate radio on my 2i and just upgraded the extended rom and the rom.
I say its a worth while upgrade.

How do you get the radio rom (imate) on the O2 rom?
did you just copy the radio_.nbf from the imate rom and paste it into the o2 rom folder??
also can you remove the o2 activeUI from the upgraded rom, as i found it pretty usless on the old rom,

Yes just copy the radio rom file over the o2 one and replace it from the imate radio.
Yes the o2 active is still the same, although this time it seems much faster and a lot moer stable. It can be removed in the same way tho.

Where did you find the radio_.nbf???I couldn't find it.
****ed up my artemis rom by upgrading stucks in loading mode WM6 screen. Can access bootloader but it always tell me upgrading again that i have the wrong rru....
CAN ANYBODY PLEASE UPLODE THE ORIGINAL WM5 ROM in GERMAN by htc for Artemis (NOT Orbit oder MDA)
OR where can i get the original rom to downgrade????

It workes fine if you have the proper rom!!! The one for my german p3300 cid unlocked is this one:

What I have done:
1. Enter Bootloader (Voice Button + Softreset)
2. play in the Rom
3. got a artemis like it arrived from the shop

I had an HTC s621 that I unlocked and patched to the T-Mobile WM6 rom prior to the official HTC WM6 ROM being released. I had to blitz the phone back down to the official WM5 HTC ROM before I could do the SPL update and then the official WM6 HTC ROM.
Just create a Guest connection using ActiveSync, and run the update. I had to do a hard reset on the device first before the WM5 ROM would run over the top, don't know why.

Hi how can you backup the original rom from the S621 ?
I from Brazil and my rom is in protuguese. I caled HTC here in Brazil and they told me tha there is no prevision to relese the WM6 here. so I dicided to flash the WM6 in english But I want keep my rom to flash it again if i need to send it to HTC.

I have found it for along time but I can't. It's a Rom wwe wm6.0 of Vodafone (not Asus), when turn on mobile it display a Vodafone's logo, it's a standard ROM.I saw. because GPS,Blutooth and everything is okie.But Asus's Rom (which is cooked from chiness ROM) is not, GPS is unavaiable. Someone can help me ! I hope we can make a tool which can back up ROM and flash "back up ROM" again like Motorola (E398,V3,L6,L7,E680 ....) - It's my dream

i had some issue with this rom, installing it i had no ring for incoming call and shell32.exe crashed making impossible saving changes for sound settings, so i couldn't use it. i tried it with olinex spl and original spl thinking for a compatibility problems, but it wasn't, so i come back to te older 1.93.408.3... i downloaded exactly this file... did you have some problem with?
otherwise i could see it is faster then older one, it has 10% more free memory (just flashed and booted it has about 49/50% memory usage.. the 1.93.408.3 has 56-60% memory usage and it make free less memory using and closing applications) and, it has 77mb free against about 55mb...
I've not yet flashed my device with this rom (I'll flash it only for warranty reasons), but I'm curious: ervius, did you have problems with your H3G branded rom?

if you need for warranty reason you can also flash the old official italian rom and use original spl, my diamond arrived with the official rom and not with h3g rom...
