Hard password

Hello!
Is it possible to secure PDA strong password saved in ROM? MDA2 after hard reset clear password. It is possible to save password after hard reset?

i have this fone and as a security lock i selected 9999 now when it asks for my password it shows the first three 9's but will not take a fourth, i take it shows this due to emergency services! now when im putting in the password a timer is running down and it will not take the password i have given it
any help or ideads MUCH appreciated

short of either hard reset from boot loader , or reflash firmware, once security locks are placed in the software if they are corrupted or changed and forgotten you cannot bypass them.
if this is a sim card pin, then after 3 fails then will ask for PUK code of which you can get from your network provider

note: if hard reset or reflash all data will be lost, so hopefully you have sync'd with your pc at least 1 time and it backed up your contacts and basic data from my documents

Locked out of my phone after setting password in Kavana 6.1 :(

I changed my password after upgrading to an alpha numeric.
the last digit in my password is 1
however, the keyboard wont let be type the number 1 in the password field.
It let me type it when I set the password, but now it won't, and I am completely locked out of my phone. can't sync, battery removal fails....
does anybody have any ideas? I really need my phone...

no numbers will work at all in the unlock field. now it says "several incorrect pw's have been used, enter a1b2c3 to continue... would a hard reset work?

for those of you that run into the same issue... DO NOT reset your phone.
on the unlock screen, you have to press alt then the number, rather than holding the key down and waiting for the number to appear.

Dang. That would SUCK if your alt button didn't work! I hate to hard reset unless absitively posolutely necessary...

I ran into a similar problem. I entered a numeric password but unfortunately I forgot the password! I've tried several different number but cannot seem to figure it out! Is there any way I can reset my phone so that I could bypass the password?

Let me help you out here. If you did an untrusted reset (Reset via recovery or ##786# or reset device with google account still on) and then changed your password. You are locked out for 24 hours. It may keep saying "Please enter in the google account on this phone" if you know you have the right account and did an untrusted reset, and reset your password you will have to wait 24 hours before the phone wll let you log back in. It's called android factory reset protection and it cannot be bypassed. There used to be methods but as far as I'm aware these methods have been patched.

Question Locked Out of My Phone

I did something stupid just now. I tried to soft-reboot my OP9P for the first time, and it stuck at the boot animation going round and round forever. So I hard-rebooted it by holding down the power button. Now when I power it up it's asking me for a password. Thing is, I don't even remember setting a password. But it will be factory reset if I say "forgot password", and that will be a total disaster.
Is there any way to bypass this?

None of those works for me, because I'm at the recovery stage, not the Android lockscreen. But thanks for trying.

Sorry, sort of thought as much.
The password thing may indicate a hardware failure in the flash memory or a rootkit.
A complete reflash maybe the only cure if possible. Even if that works other issues may reoccur if it's a hardware failure.
Flash memory data shouldn't mutate by itself.

Have you tried your pincode?

Guys, I was able to unlock my phone. It was the license plate of my first car. Must have set it in my sleep. Thanks to everyone who tried to help.
