Wifi registry entry. - P3300, MDA Compact III General

I have installed poorlyduck's 'cleaned up' JUVS 6 button Comm Manager but the Wifi button fails to work. What is the registry entry for the Artemis to get it to work? I believe the default registry entry (TNETW12511) is for the Kaiser.
Thanks in advance.

Thread can be closed. Found it out - TNETW12511 needs to be changed to TNETWLN1.

Thank you
I been using batterystatus for sometimes but it cant add Wifi/BT to today plugin
There's an extended version of that program that's still in beta that will allow you to add the BT/Wi-Fi onto the Today screen.
this is from the wiki page, tested it on my Artemis and it works:
By just adding following keys to the registry will get you a nice 'wireless' today item that show Network name/status, WiFi name/status as well as Bluetooth status. Confirmed to work on AKU2 ROMs
[HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\"Wireless"]
"DLL"="netui.dll"
"Order"=dword:00000000
"Enabled"=dword:00000001
"Type"=dword:00000004

Thanks for the tip. Anyway to improve it say with buttons that could activate the WiFi and Bluetooth?
You could also put the HTC Homeplug on the Today-screen. With the Commanager you can easily switch on WIFI, BT and other things. It would take 2 clicks to turn WIFI or BT on or off then
Also SBP Pocket Plus would be able to do the trick. With that program you can pin programs to your todayscreen.

how to set at dial string command in wm6

Hello,
I recently upgraded my TyTN to the official WM6, and ran into an issue. Occasionally, I use another phone as external modem (mostly via bluetooth, but ir is also an option). When doing this, I need to tell the TyTN to dial the number *99#, but also to use an extra AT dial string (in my case: +cgdcont=1,"IP","internet.proximus.be" ).
On WM5, there was a tab called "general" in advanced modem settings where this dial string could be set (other tabs were tcp/ip and servers), other settings in this tab were baudrate and portsettings. On WM6, this general tab is gone...
How can I set this dialstring?
(is there a fix, or a workaround e.g. by entering it somewhere in the
registry or in a configuration file)
Thanks!
Jörg
I have no idea if this is what you are looking for but u can try http://www.vijay555.com/?Releases:VJPhoneTools
i am using a lot of vijay555's tools and they are ok.
Thanks for the link, but it doesn't help my problem...
Apparently, if the device used as modem runs Windows Mobile, the device using it doesn't need to set an init string, as I read here:
http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/index.php?blog=3&p=1282&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1#more1282
The device I'm using as modem is a Nokia 6260 (which runs Symbian 60, v2.x). Is there perhaps a similar workaround?

You may reference this translated article:
http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?h...www.mobile01.com/print.php?f=222&t=361268&p=1
Basically, it says use a WM5 machine, configured all the init strings, export the rasman\devcfg registry key, and import it back to the WM6 machine.
Cool... Thanks!
When I find a WM5 device, I'll definately give it a try.
(hopefully, there quickly comes a fix for this...)
Jörg
I found on Meinessyys' blog that if the modem is a Windows Mobile device, the dial string can be circumvented by entering specific fields on the Windows Mobile device. As it turns out, this is also the case on Symbian systems. The setting there is in
Menu > Settings > Connection > GPRS
The access point (which should be put in the extra dial string) should be entered in this field. Dialing *99# will cause this entry to be used.
(my problem is solved thusly )

wifi auto switch off

Hi guys
before I upgraded my ROM (Artemis Touch 4.02 WM6.1 WWE ROM) on my XDA orbit the WiFi used to switch off automatically when in standby mode. Can I get this ROM to do the same please?
Is there a registry hack or a cab file to install to do this for me.
Also when I check out the memory icon in settings the tab which shows running programs is missing, can I get that back?
Again is the a registry hack or cab file for this?
In all other respects this is a fantastic ROM and thanks to Meschle for his hard work putting this together
Simon
ok, I figured this out myself!
basically, if I use the com manager to switch WiFi on/off & put my Orbit into standby it wil switch off the Wifi automatically.
however; if I use a button mapping program like Hbutton or AEbutton to toggle the WiFi it WON'T switch off automatically. weird but true.
So my question is can I get a registry fix to sort this out or am I going to have to use the com manager from now on?
not happy to use button mapping simply because on at least two occasions I have run my battery flat because I forgot to switch oif the WiFi
(Still) not sorted out the running program tab in the memory module though)
thanks
Simon

Swap IntShr.exe IntShrUI.exe ???

Hi,
I wanted an Internet Sharing button in my Comm Manager so I used Advanced Config to create one. It did so but for some reason it used a version that doesn't allow PAN Bluetooth connections with the PC. I found that there are 2 internet sharing exe's - one is called IntShrUI.exe and doesn't have Bluetooth PAN and the other is IntShr.exe which does.
I've searched everywhere and nosed around the registry but cannot find where to change anything so the button in Comm Manager launches the right one. I even thought of just replacing IntShrUI.exe with IntShr.exe by deleting/renaming but the files are locked.
Does anyone have any ideas? Unfortunately my last query about showing all a day's appointments on the TF3D Home screen didn't get me any help so maybe I'm just asking daft/too difficult questions?
I'd be extremely grateful if anyone can help me out here.
