I would like to know where is located the HTC animated logo which is included into the Wm6 from HTC ?
i changed the "primary splash" and "secondary splash" NB files by mine but this HTC animated splash/logo while booting is still visible.
Please, could you tell me how to remove it ?

Your best bet would be to install a ROM that just doesn't include it.
If you're happy making your own ROM using Pandora, you can just not tick the box for animated startup on the list of items to include. See Pandora thread for this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=316881
If you don't want to do a DIY ROM yet, just browse through the current WM6 cooked ROM threads and find the one that most closely matches the setup you'd like and doesn't include animated startup.
There may be some way to disable it during the startup process if it's already part of your ROM but I doubt it.
but unfortunately, all WM6 ROM i found are with this HTC animated splashscreen :-(
I think that is the problem.
The animated screen will remain until you overwrite it. Most Roms do not include one and so do not overwrite it.
If you have tried changing the splash screens yourself then i am not sure what is going wrong - did you follow the guides completely?
Yes i did...once i flash, my splashscreens aredisplayed (primary and secondary) but the animated HTC logo is still there.
once i flash it into another hermes 100, my splashscreens are not displayed :-(
i'm completly lost now... :-(
anyway the animated HTC logo is still displayed :-(

To disable the startup animation change the following registry value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\Enabled = 1
Well, you only have to swap 1 with 0 and the splash screen is disabled! So after that, the reg. value will be this:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\Enabled = 0

I am trying to create *.nbh file that will flash only splash screens and animation without touching my rom and anything else. Just splash screens.
I would like to hear from someone a brief instruction on how to go from bmp/png/gif files to short nbh file that will simply flash my splash screens and boot animation.
The reason I am asking is because some custom ROMS contain splashscreens that I don't like.
I am on Verizon and having XV6900. Current ROM is NFSFAN's V6 WM6.5

Your not going to just flash boot splash screens - a flash is a flash and it will overwrite your ROM on your phone
two ways to do what your trying to do
1) cook your own ROM - integrating the splash you want to use (its built into most kitchens)
2) search for an app that will let you replace the splash screen on your phone - its there, I dont remember the name though but its there

Theres lots of threads on Kitchen how-tos - I dont cook that often so I am not a reliable source for Kitchen info
As for NFSFANs ROM as a base, you better ask him first, last I know he like many others lock their ROMs
And I just dont remember it, if I get some time tonight I will do a search and see what I can find ...

Found two items that may help - of course its based on what and if a splash screen was cooked into the ROM to start with - seems it isnt needed to be
patchsplash.zip - not sure where it is just read up on it in a Diamond thread
and
In a registry editor, go to:
Changing the boot picture/sound:
HKLM/Software/HTC/HTCAnimation (startup animation and sound)
and
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Splash Screen (after the splash screen used)

Yeah I changed mine in Advanced Config. Just take the .gif that you want to use and copy it to the /Windows folder. In System Tools> Advanced Config, go to HTC Animation
Change the "Startup GIF File" to point to your file. Hit done and let it soft reset. Upon reset, you'll see your new animation.

Hey check out post number 5 in this thread, might be what you are looking for. I used it to flash just the the boot (first two) screens w/o flashing an entire new ROM.

I had some trouble with the image sizing, so let me know if it works for you.
Can some please post the startup animation and wav from Duttys Leo Holy Grail R0 ROM please.
Or if anyone has similar startup animation used in other ROMs.
For anyone not familiar with this, the animaton is a white background with static 'htc' and 'quietly brilliant' words animated.

- We recommend using Olipro 1.2 and Radio 1.56.70.11, just follow points 1-3 of the newbies guide here:

The reason is, maybe you didn't correctly hard reset after 1st boot. Images bits of the previous rom may stay in RAM, and need to be cleared. I had it a few times by the past and it's real annoying. Or, remember to soft-reset the phone if you just used the PIM Backup utility to restore your Contacts or database. Either way it'll be effectively slow

I'm really sorry for the inconvenience. The new Notification_Enhancement comes from Mega builds, where you can find the HTC_volume_control. Unfortunately it won't work on Trin correctly because hardware buttons are different. On purpose, I put Marc Landis's excellent SetVolume in rom. You can then set hardware button to do the job. Go to Settings - Personal - Buttons and choose "SetVolume" in the list for Button 1 and validate. This way, acces to Volume control is restored by hardware key just below Power. Tapping on screen then gives you acces to both System and Ringer volume (tap on title tab to switch).

I'm aware of this. I chose the option to make builds as solid and nice as possible, however Manila + scrolling start menu with 45 px icons in high res do eat memory. I suggest disable Manila then use the Hibernate in Tools to regain some RAM. Also close all un-necessary programs that may be open. Then try again your favorite GPS app. It might work better or not (mostly IGO case).
My personal thought is that IGO is a nice GPS program, but not suitable with combination of Trin hardware / WM6.5 eaten ressources / Manila greedy interface. You might try to switch to the nUdE versions as they probably behave better from that point of view. Or go try Tomtom, lighter on ressources. At least, think that Trinity hardware is 3 years old and very limited by those 64M ram or less.
I couldn't resolve myself to use WM 6 old UI on WM 6.5 builds ... if so, there is no reason of upgrading to my eyes, as essence of WinMO 6.5 is a progression towards something more touch friendly, and also nicer interface for eyes not to be "injured" ...
Note that it was really long work to extract higher px from raw executables and transfer them to transparent 45 px pngs ... but interface is much nice & cleaner !!!

Hello you both,
so the Titanium Version don't works on my trinity, after loading bootloader and start the ROMUpdateUtility it freezes at the bootscreen with the second red letters. Also a new flashing or a soft reset wont work.
Manila. Flashing works fine, after that is a reboot and the display shows black then appears a white screen after tipping on it the disply configuration appears. Then it starts and starts all configurations, then a failure is shown " Abort: File not found \StorageCard\Cabs\Configuration_Network.cab" by pressing ok a new configuration started after that a restart. Then I see no background picture and i just can press "Kontakte" and "Kalendar" The Start button don't worked. After that I copied the directory "cabs" to my storagecard and then flash it again. But I got the same error again.
Maybe you could tell me, what I did wrong.

Please, after flash, when device restarts, you're supposed to perform a hard reset, not a simple soft reset.
Also, check that the SDConfig.txt is copied to root of SD,has the scheme
"CAB: \Speicherkarte\Cabs\GoogleMaps.CAB
CAB: \Speicherkarte\Cabs\youtube.CAB"
and not storage card.
Cabs folder at root of Storage Card as you copied it I think there is no error ...
Both rOms work on my device, I think Ickebins tested the Manila too and it works for him.
So why not for you

And, with those 4 builds, 21854, 21864, 21874 & 23016 it's about 0,98 Go non compressed.
For the screens, yes, I will add them, I need to make a good preview though

On the the titlebar you cant press the volume or disconnect the data connection.

You have to use Tasten in Personlisch to put SetVolume at hardware button then you can access ring and system volume just by pressing key

Volume you had the info, to disconnect data, just hold the red hang down button for 3 seconds or so ... or go into the comm manager to disconnect.

Hi nar, here my results:
This ROM version is not working. After booting I see a white screen, on top the taskbar with the start button, no manila. Start-button will not work, Trin is very slow by pressing any buttons.
@myxin i got the same errors as you, nar helped me by private messages but we couldn't find the failure in the system :/

I'm so sorry, you guys seem the only ones to get problem on those roms. Myxin, I guess your hardware is not in good condition because your WLAN doesn't work anymore ... right ? white -avenger, I dunno, you should be sure to get Olipro 1.20, last radio and flash from tricolor. Other than that, I'm sorry, I can't help

Yes, you're right! I tried all I found in the internet to unbrick my WLAN. Nothing works. You think that is my problem to the white screen?
But, by the way, I will sell my trinity on eBay the next days. I will not put any work in the future to my WLAN problem into the trin and I flashed back the original vodafone WM5 firmware (and WLAN will even not work again...)
Nar, further on with your great ROM, I look regularly back into this thread.
My Wlan works. I look for Olipro 1.20 and the last radio but I'm quiet sure I got it allways.
