Has anyone tried installing the 6 tab HTC Home Plugin on their Touch yet? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319308
I had it running for a while. I dropped it down to four tabs because i didn't use two of them.
So then it works? Does it replace the original completely or does it just make the new one primary?
you can add it extra tabs iby editing your registry

I knew this could be done with the Wizard ROM I had been using but I wasn't sure about the Touch.
I'm using HHC with Schen's 6 tab plugin on a Sprint Touch. Works great.
Its probably me, but I just can't seem to make the tabs into 6. All i see is 5.
Did you apply Schen's patch on top of the HHC? That's what took me to 6.
I had to go into the reg and delete a key called quickdial to get my 6th tab

What is the path to the key you deleted so that the rest of us can share in the pleasure of 6 tabs? I also am having the problem with only showing 5 tabs.

I have installed the HTC Home today plugin and now it is at the top of the list of items I can add to my today screen. It is however not possible to move it down on the today screen since the move up/down buttons are disabled for that item.
Is there any way to move this today plugin anyways? Maybe a registry hack or something. I would like to have it as second item in the list and my spb mobile shell as item1.

It is allways verry difficult to help when we do not know which rom you have (name, version etc) which packages you have installed, like a list 1st) ... 2nd)... 3rd)HTC Home today etc...
We also need to know which version of htc home plug you have installed.
Now just a first question...
Can you move the other Today plugins so that the HTC Home becomes the place you like?
Stupid answer but could help...!
U can do it with any customisation software like memmaid or sktools, it's all about a registry setting :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Today/Items/HTC Home, just change "type" from 5 to 4

whats the problem
After I made changes and save them in oldSAP, rebooted, nothing changed.
Ex. Menu - > Show -> CMyapps.
Page 1
ActionURL to live search.exe
Pictures to Chome Live search
Then Menu -> Save -> Yes
Rebooted, and yet Word is still showed on page 1.

you have to reload your homescreen for it to work.
1. go to Settings/Home Screen, choose another home screen aside from the one you are using at the moment, load it
2. do the same process but choose the particular home screen you were previously using
3. done!

Thanks a ton! That worked perfectly.
I noticed that the bar only allow PNG for pictures is that correct?
Is there a way to reduce the number of favorite program tabs down to like 10? In V10 of Ricky's rom he has 20. I'm having a hard time coming up with 20.
Thanks ALL!
Is there an easy way to delete entries so that we have less tabs?

It allowed me to use a .gif as a picture, so I assume most picture files work.
To get rid of the extra pages, use a registry editor and go to HKLM\Security\CHome\DefaultSettings\CMyApplication\ and scroll all the way down to the "Pages" entry. Modify it and delete the page entries that you don't need, leaving a semicolon at the end of the last page. I.E. Page1; Page2; Page3; ---> Page1;Page2;. Reset the home screen theme as usual to apply the changes.
i did this and they still appear on the home page.... as well as not being able to change the 2nd line ie.... edit word document. it reverts back. The first line and remapping worked just fine though.

Works perfectly!
Thanks!
I also tried to edit HKLM\Security\CHome\DefaultSettings\CMyApplication
"Plugins"
but unfortunately it didn't goes so well, I lost CMusic and I can't put it back. Conversely I tried to remove CAppointments and yet it still shows on the main screen. I tried selecting a different home screen and return to it, and also rebooted, nothing worked.
Somehow these regedits only affect "Sliding Panel" home screen and none of the others. I'm using Ricky's V10 Rom.
When using my Touch Cruise with Manila 2D, I was able to change the number of rows and columns for the Launcher Tab with M2DC, but now I was unable to find the solution to modify Touch HD's Program Tab, and apparently the options is not available to Advanced Config Tool and HD Tweak, anyone can point out to me how to do it?
Thanks a lot.
Yes, I like to know that too. When you use NoProgBack.cab and get rid of the gray cubes the 3 horizontal items are lost in space. It can handle 4 items next to each other with ease. The spin off would be that the tab can contain more programs.
Or, if that's easier: how to make two tabs called Programs...
Regards,
I don't start a new thread cause that's exactly what I am looking for... any news since december ?
I'd also be interested in any means of extending the amount of apps that can be accesed via the programs tab, beyond the standard 24.
If you add a 25th key and other details into the registry a new "option" block appears - but it is unusable.
Has anyone managed to get more than 24 option blocks on the standard HTC Touch HD Orange Rom type of Manila?
From settings tab: Touchflo3d v.1.3.35350.1_1630.38
from WinMo SETTINGS>TOUCHFLO>About v3.0 (Build 32567)
I'm not on a custom ROM and don't have the enthusiasm for using a custom rom.

Guys,
i'm looking for similar to this 4 Icon Programs Tab from THIS thread...
However I'm looking for this to work on a stock rom.....anyone?
me too..
That's for the new Manila and it will not work on the old one. However, you can display 4 icons in a row in Settings and Programs with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=449077

Kinda of worked...had 4 icons per row, but they were slightly cut off at the top (not WVGA??) and had no text...plus it hung my phone...so removing..
Anymore ideas anyone?
Just to quantify, I can get 4 icons on the std Windows Mobile Programs and Settings screens using Advanced Config tool to push horizontal spacing to 110. However it's the Touchflo screen "Programs" I can't change.
With the original notification bar it's hard to go to the power options.
You can't click on the battery icon.
(I know, I can change back to the old notification bar, but that introduces other problems... )
So I was wondering how I could get the power option in my Start Menu.
Because you can only add Programs, not something from the Settings Page.
Install the Topaz Notification Manager, it works for me very well
You can create a shortcut to Powerexe.exe in the Windows folder, and add that shortcut to the Startmenu folder. After that, you can add power to the TFlo3D start menu page.
Fantastic been wondering how to do this thanks.

I don't know if this is different for the Touch Pro 2, but my Touch Diamond only brings up the battery level when "powerexe.exe" is run from within the "Windows" folder. Is there a different powerexe file somewhere else?
It's one and the same.
I'm using TouchOff, besides shutting down the TP2, it can also switch off the screen and perform soft resets. Just use the search function, and you'll find!
