Hi,
I'm currently trying to change the word completion feature on my XDA2 (English ROM) to German. Could someone with a German ROM post his mssp2_de.lex file?
The idea is to change the Spell Check key in the registry and see if this would work...
Oh, and another request: Could someone post all the themes that are included by default on a WM2003SE device? (I'm looking for a landscape version of the 'default' theme from WM2003).

i know of a project where they did the same but
the lex only do dictionary in word not in mails and sms thats from somewhere else
that that was required was taking the
mssp2_XX.lex file from a pc with word97 (not sure why it had to be 97)
copying it to the pda and overwriting the
mssp2_en.lex file there
though some people have been reporting it imposible after 2003 or something
here is the reg to the dic name and location btw
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Speel Check\Main_Dict
Thanks for posting the key (I already knew it, but I wanted to test it first).
I don't think, it's possible to overwrite this file because it seems to be a ROM file. But chances are good that copying another file to the \windows folder and changing the regsetting could work.
Anyone could post the German mssp2_de.lex file from his PDA?

It's actually mssp2_ge.lex
German Rom 1.66.231.
Could somebody please make mssp2_en.lex available?

somewhere on this forum is a post where someone pointed me to an app and i got into ext rom and uploaded it. That is definitely a way to see it in read mode, i didn't try writing to it and can't surf to get u a link to the post cos this comp is sooo slow and on 56k dial up.

With my knowledge of Blueangel I found another solution:
Download and install TotalCommander 2.0 for PocketPC/WinCE from http://www.ghisler.com and do following:
In the address-bar of Total-Commander type simply "\Extended_ROM" and you see it. You can copy from and to Extended_ROM. So I can do on my device without setting this registry key. The files in Extended_ROM are write-protected, but you can copy something into the Extended_ROM.
And this made me curious:
I wrote my own simple "config.txt" and copied it into Extended_ROM and it overwrotes the original "config.txt". Then I deleted my new "config.txt" and it was away. Then I made a reset AND (my luck) the original "config.txt" was here again.
Hope, it also works also on your devices and it helps you...

Hello all,
I am using the latest PDAViet WM6 ROM.
It does not come with the Transcriber built-in which I use a lot.
I tried installing a Transcriber CAB from a Hermes Black Majic (only 827KB?) add-on RAR but once installed the transcriber does not appear as a choice for inputting data.
Can someone point me to a Transcriber CAB that works with WM6 on the Trinity? (Or conversly tell me the steps I need to take to activate the one I already have - registry edits etc.)

PS: PDAViet is working very well on my Trinity. I was waiting for an official HTC upgrade but I am glad that decided to install this ROM

I've installed an dictionary called SolvEd and now the font in the cube changed!

I had to remove the last few programs (all old games) and now the fonts are back to normal!
I know but this is no solution, I've answerd back. I need to change the font and the font size because I want to keep the dictionary, it was expensive, and after installing the dictionary the fon and fontsize changed.
So please tell me/us someone where are the reg entrys for the cube and com manager for their font and fontsize links?

This is my first post, but I’m a reader not a poster. For most Swedish people we are satisfied with WWE but we have this issue with ÅÄÖ, For keypad I have tried Ilodiom Finnish cab but that was not correct for SWE. Please correct me if am wrong.
For my earlier device Wings (thanks jockyw 2001 for your help and how to dump, rebuild, cook, flash and hardsbl) I know what to change to get ÅÄÖ thanks to the WINGS forum.

I think for Chiefs when you make Multilingual ROM the most important thing is to make it keyboard compatible not language because all people here in the forum understand English.
I have read most posts and used the search function and even created a very fast Swedish ROM for myself.
But I think in this forum many things is missing in the WIKI please!
Ok I am satisfied with my own created ROM but this could be so much better if we share our findings.
