hey.... why do u discourage newbies.... they are learning too....
(i presume u r a newbie here )
microsoft officially released 6.1 only now.. so its nice to see the enthusiasm in people and their affininty to xda-developers... let them also come up.. perhaps someday, they will bring news that u don't have... if u shun them off now, they will never come up again....

Hmmm....I donwloaded it, then tried to install it. It told me I had a "newer" version on Office Mobile on my device...
I have the ATT WM6 Rom, how is it a newer version of Office?

And the mess that this repeatiton of threads creates, confuses these newbies only.
These files seem to be Activesync installers. Found only desktop-installers on the forum. Why no cabs?

I suggest that anytime someone finds information they think would be useful, especially someting we all cry out for such as an official release of a new ROM, that people who've been on here long enough to get a 'senior member' status get as carried away as possible and take the rip out of the helpful forum-member until they don't post or contribute anything.
Can everyone with Senior Member status please check their ego in at the door when they log in. This was a good post. Leave him alone.

User titles are determined by post count not length you've been a member...
That is an OLD rom version... Someone released that HERE a few weeks ago, I used it before... It's ok.. kept giving me the sleep of death.
EDIT: Im talking of course about the WM6 in the link in the first post here... never saw the one a couple posts above me.

So far so good!
Installed Mapking 2007, Resco Explorer, Resco Picture Viewer Pro, CE Star, Handy Switcher, World Card Mobile.
Device never hang yet.
Anyone can let me know where to upload this rom to XDA?

Think you might need to direct this question at Microsoft. Once they release a version of WM7 into the wild, then the guys here can start having a look at it.
Effectively, you're asking someone to re-edit a film that's still being filmed!
Come back when WM7 has been released on a device and see what the wizards here have managed.

I am trying to upgrade my t-dash from windows6 to kavana..but i got problem said that files immages currupted error 270 and stuck at 3% and the phone turn off and back on . Can some one tell me what iam missing or doing something wrong ....appreciate for your help.

or you can just app unlock the phone per the instructions and have it actually work..

You the tutorial below that is titled upgrade from 6.0 to 6.1.... and that should help you out man... and as a beginner I recommend using Ricky's rom as it will be easier for you to navigate...

See i'd say different as more people have probs with the 3% issue with Kavana "due to the unlock process and not reading" i think Rickys and the navigation just is really additions oh and the links 4 everything under this text...

Oh ok I see, well I think Rickys is really easy for beginners to use because of all the programs that it offers for the beginners and it seems to be more customizable to me... but that is just my own opinion...

Already available for some PPC users, M$ kicked off today @ XDA and got the item removed... Doubt any of the Dash users will see WM6.5 unless someone ports it, as no new ROMs have been officialy produced and not even an official WM6.1...
So we can dream and wait till the Dash 2 and see what we get?

I think the 6.5 will be ported on the phone!It doesnt have so many diferences..
Its still wm6 whit updates on it!

A big difference is that it will be for a different device
I know what the difference is and have run WM6.5 "Hybrid" (Without the new homescreen) on Tilt, it will take someones time to port it so we will see?

I have an old qtek 8310 and it runs wm6.1 smooth and yet the model is soo old..

Pls, dont spam this board.
If u enter in this section "Diamond ROM development", u can find at least 3 Threads about Win Mobile 6.5 ROM.
There are many chefs already working on this here...
be honest, i don think the 6.5 is suitable for diamond, at least diamond 1. i used several threads and one common result is that tooooooooooooooooooo slow. i thought it is the limination of device.
