Use GPSce to map out in Google Earth - P3300, MDA Compact III ROM Development

Apologies if this has been already posted, but I found this software very interesting.
You can convert the *.txt file log from GPSce to KML format and map out your journey in Google Earth.
Thanks to Claude
Very small software, but quite interesting.
Here is the link and few screenshots

Thanks for the info, i'll try it !

http://m.live.com/search/default.aspx?mkt=en-us

http://mobile.live.com/pocketpc/default.aspx?mkt=en-US

thanks for the great hack! god knows the default search was horrible
Live search is simply you type a query and it opens up PIE with Live search...you can accomplish the same thing by just open up PIE and have google set as the default home page. I don't use Live search..just the messenger part Thanks for this great info.
I figured this out months ago, and posted in on HoFo...

i added this to the wiki, and am going to lock the thread
I felt it was appropriate to re-open this thread. There have been issues with the original url not correctly handling search terms with embedded spaces. I've got what may be a fix to this. Try the following URL:
http://www.google.com/pda?hl=en&q=
This seems to work for me. Hows it working for everyone else?
wow austinsync I thought you were only good at flaming noobs! Nice work..
Sleuth - confirmed link is working fo rme
Works great on a 8125 as well!!!!!!!

nope... i searched "austin bbq" as test (and because i'm hungry and want som BBQ!!) and PIE opened up with this in the search box: "austin%u0020bbq"
Doesn't work for me either. It does open up PIE and puts the given search query in the google searchbox, but doesn't directly show the search results. For that, I need to press search again.
Weird.
I also wonder, if it's possible, to display Google Search on the desktop instead of Live Search.
Regards,
DM
thank you, this works great!

cab?
can someone be so kind to make a cab file for the reg fix? Makes it a lot easier every time we switch roms
This URL works great for me.
http://www.google.com/m/search?output=xhtml&source=mobileproducts&mrestrict=xhtml&q=
It is also in the wiki
Does anyone know if it's possible to change "Live Search" to "Google Search" ?
There is a search plugin lifted from the treo700 that defaults to google. look in the treo700 rom dumped thread in the development and hacking forum. It works well but doesn't allow SIP input. You need to have the keyboard opened to use it.
I can make an installer if anyone's interested.
Interested.... Thnxs in advance..

On my latest WM6 ROM, I have cooked a working google URL into the live search today item. Embedded spaces work just fine. This is a major WM6 update btw. If you're interested in upgrading, here's a link to the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308019
modaco has a nice fix for it.

works without any problems.

Office Mobile CAB

Is there an Office Mobile 2007 CAB for download that includes Word, Excel, Powerepoint and OneNote?
Sorry if this is already covered in the forum. I search the wiki and the forum with no success. I even searched the torrents. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Use the search link in my signature (you should make that link a favorite, IMO...)
I pasted Office Mobile 2007 CAB in the Search XDA-DEVELOPERS using Google .... number three is MS Office 2007 CAB - only for WM6 - Page 5 - xda-developers, go to page 1.
File was removed from the server. Is there anywhere else I can download it.

Manila Database for Developers

Hi guys,
I think we should make a 'database', e.g. an excel table or something else, in which we add alle the 1234567_manila-Files and what they are standing for (friendly file name like "HTC\Asset\Images\background.qtc") and maybe some keywords in an extra column like "home, background", etc.
I think this would make it much easier to work with the manila-files, because I always forgot what a file was standing for after a few days
Greets,
Sascha
I have only just started getting into editing Manila but I certainly agree that it's a good idea. As I'm still only at the beginning, I can contribute serverhostspace for the DB and I'll hopefully be able to contribute with actual content later on.
If someone has a ready script for an MDB or an SQL or whatever else I am ready to host it and make it interactive to receive input from anyone who discovers something new
Nice suggestion and worthy
That a work for all of us.
i agree on this, ill whip up a simple website that people can input details about each file in a gridview.
ill post a link hopefully tomorrow

Coreplayer command line parameters howto

Hi friends.
Could someone guide me here? Bit confused.
Am using the Coreplayer latest build for WM6.1 Standard, and I am also using the Chome Configurator for creating panels, links, media urls etc to be launched from the homescreen.
I am trying to build a panel with just multimedia urls, so that for eg ACTION URL and SOFTKEY2 will point to BBC Radio's mms protocol link and other such online stations. What I am trying to do is, WITHOUT altering the default file associations, trying to launch these urls in coreplayer and play them.
Only thing is I do not know how to insert the url in the command line. How do I open a link using the command? All I know is C:\Program Files\Coreplayer\player.exe or something like that, what is the flag parameter that will play a particular url? I searched online, found something like a -p flag, but it didnt work. It was like this "C:\Program Files\Coreplayer\player.exe -p mms:\\yourbbcstreamurl". The coreplayer opens, and just stays there, it doesnt open the url and start streaming.
What would the correct format to allow coreplayer to open and start playing the url? Could someone guide me here please? Much obliged
Cmon, someone, pls help
I think you question would better be answered on the coreplayer support forum..
Ohh.. thanks for pointing me out in the right direction, NRG. Hadnt known such a support forum existed in XDA Dev. Let me look for it and ask there. Thanks once again

Oh Thank you stylez, I thought there was a support grp here. hehe. I searched allover, and someone at blackstone had commented that command line usage is not supported for core. Sad:-(
CorePlayer is a good program, but it will be great after they add the promised features.

how to make google default search in tf3d ?

i was wondering if there is a reg edit to get rid of that stupid bing search and default it to google so when i go to the browser tab it will bring up google in the search instead bing thanks for your help.
yeah, that bing serach is pissing me off as well! I miss the old windows live search my touch had.
look at next post
So I have no idea what the previous guy just posted.... I have the ATT Tilt 2 with Windows 6.5, and here's what I did.
Using PHM Registry Editor:
Goto: \HKCU\Software\HTC\Manilla
Modify: InternetSearchUrl
Original: http://us.m2.yahoo.com/w/onesearch?.tsrc=attosus&p=%s&first=1&submit=oneSearch
ModifyTo: http://www.google.com/m?client=ms-opera-mobile&channel=new&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&q=%s
The ModifyTo search string is basically what Opera uses when you do a search from it's search field.
Thanks, this is a handy mod.
thanks for the help guys.

dude your the man the reg hack worked awesome now i just wish it could be the full google and not mobile hmm?
So if you want, just goto www.google.com, search 'tmpString', copy the redirected address that it takes you to. From there, replace 'tmpString' in the address with '%s'.
well.. here:
ModifyTo: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=%s&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=&aqi=
EDIT: had to modify the link because my original was linked to iGoogle.
can some body please post up the verizon tp2 link or reg for the stock bing search google mobile sucks and i cant get the full version to pull up the search for me. thanks
help please!
NOTE!!!! Don't type in the link as you see it typed in this board! Type in the URL address based on what you see it linking to! This board interprets it as a url and shortens the actual string with the "..". Mouse over and copy the link or copy link to notepad to see what is really there.
Ok I must be missing this how do you find the Google search address for the search tab in touchflo?
I have the Verizon Imagio and changed InternetSearchUrl to "http://www.google.com/m/search?q=" no quotes of course. Works perfect. Thanks people!
So basically all this does is redirect you to the google search page? I was thinking it would take you to search results not the search page did I do something wrong?? (BTW the address isn't quite correct needs a forward slash in place of the question mark after the m couldn't figure that stuff out for the life of me lol)

...and here's a .cab containing that setting. No need to use any registry editor; just run the .cab
( created this using my web app, http://supware.net/CabGen/ )
to switch mine to google.com all i did was opened up my browser, went to google.com, opened up the settings page, then the start page, and selected "Use Current" for the start page and wala. Presto.
