A problem i'm facing at the moment on my Black satin 3100 is:
1. During a call the phone slows to beyond usable meaning that if i want to take a note or load something up the phone is so slow i have to ask them to hold on sometimes over a minuite just to load notepad bringing me on the:
2. while in a call and having successfully loaded note pad, typing on the keyboard when i select a key that also corresponds to a number i get the number instead and i can not select the letters until after the call is ended.
3. the voice mail icon is always showing regardless of there being a message or not and this has been since i installed satin and is not a recent thing.
if anyone has any thought please throw them this way

2. Your ROM does not have the keyboard fix. vp3G's, and a few others, have it included.
3. Might try a reflash for this one. Just do a quick backup first.

2. As just said - this is a ROM thing. Find one that has it fixed. (The new Schaps do not.)
3. Call your phone. Leave a voice mail. From your phone, go to voice mail. Listen to and delete the message. Press the * key (I think) until you exit VM. Then hang up. The indicator should go away.

ATT Tilt 2 rom problems

Hello everyone,
I just bought my ATT tilt 2 and I have a few issues that I would like to address. If you guys can help me address them it would be greatly appreciated.
(1) When I get a call and message at the same time, my phone doesn't stop vibrating even when I am in a call and the other end can hear a buzzing noise.
(2) In my message tab, I have a '1' icon showing that i have a new message but I have no new message. I even deleted all the messages and still it does not go away. Therefore TouchFLO is also showing me '1' new message all the time.
(3) In my previous phone (omnia), I could hit any of the front hardward key to light up the phone then I could unlock it. but that feature does not seem to work in this phone, I have to everytime hit the power key to go in and out, therefore I find no use for the lock feature. I changed the setting for it to never go on standby but then the screen always on (low visibility) and that would probably use up alot of battery.
Any fixes for these problem?
I do not mind changing ROMs but I have no idea which ones are stable and how to go about changing them. I can look up on how to change them but I need to know what people are happy with. I do not want to keep changing ROMs.
Thanks Alot for your help
Have to push power button to wake up device
I have a TILT2 and it sucks to have to push the power button to wake it up. Does anyone know how to modify this?
I would like to push one of the front buttons to wake it up as they are more accessible.
Thanks.
Number 1 is weird. Maybe try a hard reset.
Number 2: Go to Start>Settings>Today do to "Items" tab. Uncheck TouchFlo3D, and check Messaging. Hit OK, and go back to the Today screen. There should be some stupid welcome message from Microsoft in the text messages (for some reason doesn't show in TF3D). Delete it, and you can go back into the Settings and turn TF3D back on. The "1" message icon should be gone
I had the same problem, and this worked for me.
number three:
Try this link from XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=578061&highlight=wake+device+button
If you want to wake up TP2 by any hardware keys, please try: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\OEM\KEYBD "KeyLock" = 0 (default is 1) then Reset..

disabling notes for phone calls?

I was trying to call an automated voice system up today and was asked to enter my phone number in. I hit the "keypad" button and instead of the keypad opening up the Note application opened up. I had to click on the "ok" button in the top right corner to close that and to get back to the regular keypad so that I might enter my number in.
Is there any way to change this? I had an HTC TyTN II for two years and I never utilized the phone call notes feature on that phone. Given that, I'm very confident I'm never going to be using it on this phone and yet that's what first pops up when I hit the "keypad" button.
Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this?
You can set the phone to open Notes when in a call simply by pulling out the stylus. It is in Phone Settings- Advanced tab.
i understand your concern, occasionally my cheek would open up notes while on a call and type random stuff. I don't find it annoying enough to disable it but at the same time i've never used the notes during a phone call feature.
Dont know if theres a way of disabling it but maybe if u dig around in the register and search for "notes.exe" or whatever the notes app is named u might find something relative.

I want my call list!

On my T-Mobile Touch Pro 2, if I select the phone menu it starts the list of calls but then automatically starts the dialer and quits the phone menu when what I wanted to do was see a list of phone calls, and more importantly the time for the phone call and the dailer does now show this.
Nevermind... Figured out you have to hit the view softkey instead of just clicking the Phone/Missed Calls.
Ugh... this is why I hate WM6 sometimes because it has to be skinned so much that everything just behaves erratically and changes with each version of Sense.
With all its short comings, the one thing I will like about WP7 is preditability, like WM was at first...

[Q] Any way to stop going to call log after call?

On my Droid Incredible/Gingerbread I could configure whether the phone went to the call log or not after a call, but my Galaxy Nexus 4.0.2 always goes to the call log - this is especially annoying when I'm using the phone to navigate and get a call, when the call ends you don't just go back to the navigation. Anyone see a way to configure this that I missed?
Definitely interested in this as well
There is an app called "Not Call Log" which can take you to the home screen, dialer or open an app after hanging up. If you use Tasker, you can also set it to do anything with a "phone idle" condition (that may not make sense if you're not familiar with tasker).

Even though the call log appears, i believe the activity stack is is still maintained meaning after your call ends just press back twice, the second leaves the call log back to your prior activity.

[Q] Lollipop dialer hides in notifications for outgoing calls

Hi! Since my Note 4's Lollipop update last week, I am very frustrated with what the dialer does during outgoing calls (not using HD calling right now). After I make the call, the call screen disappears into the notification bar and I have to swipe down (being careful not to touch the sensors that make the screen go black) to get the dialer back on the screen. This is really a pain when I need the keypad. I really just want the dial screen to stay on the screen full size. I can't seem to figure out how to do this after much Googling (maybe because people don't think it's a problem...but it's a very annoying problem for me!). Any ideas on how to fix this? Many thanks! Amanda PS...Incoming calls are fine...dial screen stays full size on the screen.
Welcome to the lollipop group! I am using sip accounts and when I dial, the dialer asks me whether I want to use my phone operator or one of the sip accounts. After I choose I have no dialer left.
If i swipe back to the dialer tab in the phone application, I can see 3 options:
x use touch tone keypad
< return to call screen
+ add call
and if i select "return to call screen" i can see again the dialog that asks me which phone to use for the outgoing call (while i'm still calling or even talking with the other side)
Google don't care about this, they're probably looking to phase out "internet calling" since they have their own competing product now (hangouts).

I'm having exactly the same issue on a Note 3 now with Lollipop.
