I've upgraded my P3600 to WM6 (thanks to Lasagna). With WM5 I could see all the contacts, both stored in the phone and in the SIM Card. With WM6 I can only see the contacts i the phone but not the one onthe SIM Card.
How can I find them without copying them in the phone memory?
Thanks

Hi.
My wifes got a new phone and she's moved from orange to o2. The only problem is all her contacts are on the orange sim card. Does anyone know of any way of copying all the contacts from one sim to another using my BA without affecting my contacts. Something like
-remove my sim card
-insert wifeys orange card
-run magic software package to backup all contacts to <some_format>
-remove orange card and insert new blank o2 card.
-restore contact from <some_format> to new card.
I really want to avoid using 'save to contacts' from simm manager as I don't want lots of hairdressers etc in my contacts
Thanks in advance
Jeff

I am using HTC P3600 with WM6. Every time I power off and on the device, start up TomTom, it will say 'No Map Found'. The only work around is to remove the SD card, do a soft reset, re-insert the SD card.
Is this a bug with WM6 or a bug with TomTom?
Can anyone shed some light here? Is there a solution??
Change ROMs!

After having tried most cooked WM6 ROMs over the past six months, I've noticed now and again that some do lose contact with the SD card.
I'd change ROMs and see if that fixes the problem.
Cheers!

hmm...i have ROM 3.00.707.17
i am a bit reluctant to upgrade to a new ROM just to test this out
Disable Bluetooth Explorer from Settings -> Connections -> Bluetooth -> Bluetooth FTP
It causes TomTom to think that the bluetooth folder is your storage card and tries to load map from there. Disabling it should do the trick.
hi
i would reformat youre sd card i had a same problem the map folder got corupted u may also find that u wount be able to remove folders or rename them the only way i could recover from this is to format the card
hope this helps
Try deleting the MSMETADATA
This happened to me in almost all roms. This is mostly accompanied by Mediaplayer loosed all songs in the memory card.
Try deleting MSMETADATA. It's a hidden folder in the memory card.
Please acknowledge.
I hope this helps.

if the map folder is corrupted in anyway, then i should the 'No Map found' error every time, correct? it should not only happen when i power on and off.
i'm using a 4gb SDHC(sandisk) with my trinity(wm6)
i found that the sd card corrupt very often with all roms.
tomtom cannot find map because sd card had corrupted.
just a soft reset can solve this problem.
i suppose wm6 do not support sdhc very well, or mybe my sd card is not good

disable bluetooth explorer seems to do the trick. Thanks everyone for all the help!!!
I think tomtom, WMP and other programs use the first drive found after FLASHDR.
If you have only SD, you should have FLASHDR and DSK1
No problem ...
If you enable the BT Explorer, you will have
FLASHDR and BTD1 and (the second optionnal drive ?) DSK1
If all programs class the "optionnal drive" by their name ... Does a rename of BTD1 to DSK2 can resolve the problem ? in this case, the DSK1 will be always SD and 2 the BT.

Hey guys,
I am running Schaps 4.22 on my JasJam and I can't seem to get it to save to my SD card when taking pictures. Originally I had put another SD card and the Camera software asked me if I would like to save to it, I set No. But now with my new card I go to the options and the only place is Main Memory or Network.
Thanks in advance and merry (late) xmas!
Disable Network plugin.
Have just successfully updated to my very first ROM ! Yay me !
MR Vanx's instructions worked a treat.
I have a small problem since the upgrade and I am hoping someone can help me please ?
I can't see my storage card anymore. It worked 100% error free in WM5. I did the upgrade to the ROM without the card in the phone so as to make sure I didn't loose anything. Now I can't see it !
HELP Someone.
Dave
Same here, it happened to me too. I went back to my official Orange WM5 rom, and then moved up to PAY's WM6.1 rom. So that makes two people who had SD card trouble with Schap's WM6 4.31 !!!
PS. Tried my card in my friends phone (same as mine) who is running 3.30c and it worked fine. Guess it must be something in 4.31 ?
I ran 4.31 with both a 2gb and an 8gb microSD/microSDHC card without problems with tons of apps installed on the cards.
Well its been an issue with some people and not with others. There is a whole long thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1908699#post1908699
I get problems with Schap's 4.31 and not with any other ROM so atleast for me that ROM is the problem.

I tried with a lot of different sd cards (1gb till 6gb) without any problem on 4.31. Do you have extended rom visible? If yes, your card could be not visible. Try also to add a "My Document" directory on the card. Do not ask me why but it can help. And... but i suppose you tried already: soft reset after installing the card.
My 2 cents

Done all what you've said and much more to the point of buying various cards of different make, but nothing works !!!
I have been running 4.31 for awhile and haven't seen any problems.
You mentioned that you took the card out while flashing. Have you tried to flash again with the card in? It shouldn't have any effect to the data on the card. Of course now that i've said that, it will probably wipe it clean, so you better back it up(usb card reader works great)
You could also try wm5torage, it's a long shot, but maybe it would wake something up.
Good luck anyways.
I had this problem once. Check to see if there is a 'Storage Card' directory present when the card is out of your phone. If there is one, when the card is inserted it creates a "Storage Card2" directory that does not work properly with windows.
Eject the card and remove the directory. Soft reset and try again.
Thanks for the input guys. Very impressed with the fast response.
I have tried a couple of things suggested already and the others have made no difference.
Not a problem. I think i will just flash a different version of the Schaps ROM for now and see how I get on.
Well, for those interested I flashed 3.30c and still had the same issue. My friends card worked in my phone and mine in his. I backed my card up using my pc and a card reader. I re-formatted th card and the phone then saw it !!
I did however notice that it was a little flaky but found if I pushed the card up slightly using my finger nail on the back side the contacts made better connection and it stayed.
Then came my moment of pure and utter genius ... I decided to try to bend the card slightly to get the cards contacts to make better connection.
Thats right you read correctly, I bent the card, in fact what actually happened was that I snapped the card !! DOH !!!!
Oh well. Guess I am in the market for a new card.
Is 2GB my limit or can 4GB work ?

I hate it when that happens.
Anyway, WM5 = SD card = 2 gig per the spec
WM6 = SDHC card = 32 gig per the spec
I've got a 4 gig in mine, working fine, phone sees the entire card
Thanks for the info and for not laughing at my stupidity !
Appreciate it.

If I had laughed, it would have been in sympathy, as well as at myself. I've done boneheaded things such as that before!
What formatt is the sd card? FAT32, FAT??
I formatted it FAT.
I just feel so silly for doing something so stupid !
Just popped in my new 6gb SDHC card and it is working sweet as a nut.
Sandisk one btw.
