Official WM6 ROM problem

Hi.. I've upload official rom to my hermes mobile, and now I want to back to Shap's rom.. So the problem is I can't. I start RUU from Shap's and can't find my SPL version, so I chose SSPL, complete next steps and I have a question to enter the bootloader on my hermes.. I agree,bootloader shows,and all stops.. For a while on PC i have infomation thats error 260(comunication faild)..Can You help me?

Maybe you could search this (WM6) forum for "error 260" ... include the quotes. It might give you some ideas.
Keep that in mind, and next time you might be able to get answers right away, instead of waiting 2 days+ for someone here to have the time to tell you.

I am come from Hong Kong, my English is not good....Hope you can understand my English....
Before, I try P3600, but my friend gave it to me...
He said it is very safe to flash any rom, because he installed something in my phone....sound likes "private the phone become a brick"...
Can anyone tell me what is my first step if I want to flash other rom for my phone??

Welcome to the Diamond community!
I think your friend said: "prevent the phone becomes a brick.." and he was referring to the OliNex Signed HardSPL if I am not mistaken.
Well, don't be complacent though... when you are new you just got to READ, READ AND MORE READ..

dont flash till u know what u r doing. if u flash then brick because u were not sure dont expect everyone to help u.

Gettin NUTS !!

I need some help. im from holland, and i'd like to have an dutch rom. Obviosly i need to have the NLD roms.
So first i need to make an Unsigne-hardspl or somthing.
I think i can figure out how to make do the spl, but how do i install the rom??
and what the hheck is a radio ? i found 3 radio versions on xda for the diamond, i dont know what it is and what the differents are.
I know you are all tired to answer ultimate noob questions like these, but maybe one mighty hero can still help me by giving me help and advice, THANKS

Loaded NFSFAN newest Bell ROM and TT7 Cab won't run/install

I had the Tom Tom 7 Diamond rip install on my touch prior to loaded NFSFAN's rom. The same CAB file won't load onto my phone now. Anyone know why? or can help with this??

Is this your first custom ROM flash??
Which latest version are you refering to, final or beta??
If you had a previous ROM, like 1.27 did Tom Tom 7 work with that?
If you read through the nice short M2d thread from herg in dev&hacking you'll find this issue with some versions of M2d. Because 1.28 has a different version of M2d than 1.27 I'm trying to figure out if that may be the case.
Or.....as DD says ask the chef!!! If he doesn't answer right away it's because he's busy cooking!!

Yes my first custom flash!
I installed his beta 2 version which is 1.27.
When TomTom worked before it was the latest Bell Rom.

I have TomTom6, it has never stopped working for me.
I will research TT7 probs and get back to you, unless nfsfan comes up with an answer first.

No idea, I use IGO8. Never used TomTom.

Well, TomTom 6 seems to work in all the ROMs.
I googled and wiki'd TT7. I couldn't really find anything that might explain your problem.
My TT is on the storage card, I always remove my card during a flash. After flashing I put the card back in and TT installs automatically. It's never failed.
I suggest a hard rest then try again. If that doesn't work try reflashing to a final ROM and see if it's the beta.

I've got a similar problem, my IGO8 worked fine under 1.27 and now with 1.28 it installs just fine but will not open! what could be wrong?

stuck in tricolor, cant flash from sdcard, cant flash in vista

btw my dopod838 is on schap's 4.31 rom, radio-1.20, ipl-1.01, spl-1.06...
this is just a gift to me, i read all the wiki on hermes, some of the significant threads here, even tried some of the solutions that i have read....
i tried hardspl from vista and by sdcard, it always end up on the tricolor screen, can someone pls help me, im mean i saw all those awesome roms and even selected and downloaded some of them made by tai, josh and schaps, but to no avail i cant even get hardspl installed what a bummer...
maybe im just too stupid to do these things, but i want toget everything out of my 838pro and im not giving up, help...
help me... josh, tai, schap, olipro, marvnx...

which version of hardspl? I triee my 8525 with ver 7 and it wouldn't work. Version 9 works well. Haven't checked for recent updates.
