[MADE IT BIG] Shamanix 3.54 SUPERSTORAGE [Based on Schap`s] - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

After PAPPL asked me to make a SuperStorage ROM of my last ROM that I released, I wanted to give it a try and finally made it!!!
Successfully melted Ext. ROM!!!
Everything stayed the same except free storage space, now there is 72Mb FREE and it is still based on Schap`s ROM
If you want more info about the ROM visit the link to my original 3.54 release..
Mind you.. I just melted this ROM so I did not test the stability, but it seems very fast!!!

Excellent news!!!!
Now downloading... report soon ....
Thank you!!!!

I don`t know how is it possible and what went wrong, but MMS account is not present..
Will do some research...
EDIT: False alert.. it is present but it create itself when you enter messaging or something like that...
I tried to access it via HTC Home for the first time and it wasn`t present, then I unplugged it from PC and entered messaging and saw MMS account was there..
This makes no sense, but hell.. it is there now...

Al the moment, this is the best ROM for me.
Everything work fine like your previous ROM.
Congratulation!!
Very good work, I will keep for a while.
Thank you Shamanix!.

This seems to be the best ROM for Hermes for now.
Many thanks to shamanix!

Great work, Shamanix!!! Congrats!
Olioaglio

Shamanix,
Great work! I think you are the first to make bigstorage without using bepe's 3.60 rom. Could you tell us how you were able to do it?
Ross

Thanks guys! I appreciate it!
megarek, I think you are wrong.. I am not the first one to create big storage ROM other then 3.60 since mattk_r did it on his 3.57 ROM and edhaas did it on his Super D-Lite ( originally Dopod ROM )
PAPPL asked me already how is it done, so I did a quick search on the forum and collected some links where bepe explaned how is it done..

IE and the "Empty History"...
I have a little issue:
Every time I launch Internet Explorer, the "History" go back to empty.
I store temporary Internet File in the "\Storage Card\Pocket IE".
I already try to change "Save links to page visited in the past" to 10, 20 or 40 days, is the same... always go back to empty.
Anyone have the same issue?
Any idea to fix?
Thank in advance.

How much free RAM is there after Install? Im downloading now to try out. Looks great from what i can see!

I have the same issue over here ( storing temp IE files on storage card too ), I never looking in the history before with any of my ROMs since it remember URLs in the address bar, but I would like to know if that issue is present in Schaps original 3.54 ROM and my remake of his ROM or it is a new issue that came along with melting ?

Is working in Schap's 3.54c and in your last ROM 3.54Fix was working perfect! I was using... It is strange...
Regards.

PIE Hostrory really working with your previous ROM.
Do you really think it's because of melting? Does PIE store History in Ext-ROM usually? I don't think so, do you?
Maybe you removed a file which doen't look like to having something in common with PIE.
In Start/Programs i found a folder called Accessoires, which is empty. I this folder necessary for some cab-installs?

I didn`t remove any of the files compared to my last release.. Everything is the same..
PIE has nothing to do with ExtROM, thats why this is so confusing..
I suspect there was an error in the process of building or extracting.. I have no clue what else could go wrong...
So I did a rebuild ( again, everything is identical, no files ware touched ) and here is the BETA of revision 1.1 for you to test if the issue is still present..
Accessories folder is empty because I deleted BT Explorer that was there and I like the Accessories folder icon so I left it there because I usually move the shortcuts in there of some 3rd party application that I install afterwards..

I Flashed this new ROM and the issue persist, so, I flashed back to your ROM 3.54 FIX and the problem was already present, so flashed back to Schap's 3.54c Lite and also introduce this bug, but in all cases it is only with "/Storage Card".
I apologize for having said earlier that working with your ROM above, surely I have a lot of confusion by flashing so often.
Thank you.

Hi, I do have this shamanix ROM installed and i do have entries in PIE history, and I do always have a 2GB microSD inserted.

I put this setting for store History in default place and the rest in Memory Card and it works fine.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders]
"History"="\\Windows\\Profiles\\guest\\History"
"Cookies"="\\Storage Card\\Pocket IE\\Cookies"
"Cache"="\\Storage Card\\Pocket IE\\Temporary Internet Files"

Nice find... So there must be two "\" slashes to make it work...

Just a word of warning, it's better to keep the single slash in the path for the IE cache. The double slashes will cause Schap's Advanced Configuration tool (built into this ROM) to crash when you try to exit.
Otherwise, things seem to be going well for this ROM other than that butt ugly and useless standard calculator. Whoever wrote that thing for M$ has absolutely no concept of UI. I have yet to find a good *free* scientific calculator that had buttons large enough to use with your fingers. Seems like a no-brainer to me. Maybe 1-Calc should licence their product to M$.

Thanks!
I always feel like such an outsider way out here in AT&T land! Thanks for the special attention. Downloading now!
Here's where I get to show my stupidity!
All the other ROM I have flashed have come with a utility to run the process. I tried replacing a previous rar file with this one and running the utility I had, but it changed nothing. I have read all the guides, the step by steps, etc, but the info seems to be for full packetsm not how to insert a new rar. I am dense. I am uneducated, I am sorry!
Thanks Shodowmite. It's good to have someone taking care of us ATT dudes.
What is the difference with other ROM ?
Is there something specific for AT&T ?
Sorry if the question is stupid, but I don't know AT&T particularities... ;-)

ok, have you flashed hard-spl on your phone before? If not, search for it and flash it! Next, you need winrar or some other file extraction program to extract the rar file (a compressed folder) to get the files out. Then you'll find the installer files inside, you run the exe... Hope this helps.

Mainly the big thing is this includes by default the sms/mms and data/proxy settings for cingular/att's network. You can use this rom with another carrier, but you'll need to delete those settings or install you own over top of them.

Thanks for the patience with my idiocy. I got WinRar and am flashing now.

We all have to learn at some point, I was no better when I started long ago... Don't worry about it and just learn at your own pace... Hope you like the rom!
I've updated to Shadowmite 1.1, while this is still a "beta" if you will, it's perfectly stable and appears good. Use this one if you want the HTC Home Plugin available... I've also removed windows live and streaming media in this version:
http://rapidshare.com/files/43857196/Shadowmite_1.1_beta_0.rar.html
Thanks. Good job. Downloading.
Ive had it running for a few days now and have noticed marked improvement on battery life. My only challenge has been running out of program memory during IE sessions. I run MemMaid and clean up, then I can go again, but I'm wondering if I have something set wrong.
Hmm, not sure, but I will be releasing another version maybe tomorrow with a increased available program memory using a 4mb pagepool instead of the stock 6mb.
Slightly off topic but is there a way / application to load apps & information in one go after flashing a new rom or is installing all the cabs one by one the only way.
Thanks in advance
S
Well, dunno if it helps much, but my HTCustom app, which is in my roms has a CABS button which allows you to choose a folder and it starts all cabs in it to be installed for you... but it needs human interaction.
In other news, the rom is ready and uploading now...
Version 1.1 is posted, now with 4mb pagepool, should increase your program memory a little and make it perform a little more quickly. I think this is about perfect now, let me know!
Nice ROM, but...

Hi, A very nice looking ROM - for which... thanks!
BUT... I keep getting... "An unhandled error has occured in the shell. Attempting to restart the shell [ok]". Soon as I hit the OK, phone reboots.
Now, to help u diagnose... I have installed NOTHING on top of your ROM. Only change I made from stock is I removed your Cingular settings .cab and installed the standard HTC ones for my UK Vodaphone network. (Actually, I was getting this error BEFORE I even removed the Cingular .cab)
Only other thing I can say is, I also unchecked the BatteryStatus plugin from the Today items (as I don't like it or need it... or do I, with this ROM? Maybe I will re-enable it a while...)
That's all. I'll try and stick with this ROM as it's the kind of thing I've been working on for myself... nice, clean and tight... but I've had no time recently to develop ROMs so it's easier for me to run with your work and let you do the head scratching!! Still, a nice effort so far - thanks again!
Moz.
Weird, I've never seen that error. I hate to say it, but could you start with the rom freshly flashed and tell me anything I can do to cause this to occur? Or is it random? I do run the battery status plugin on mine (very useful info, especially the current draw) but I've just removed it to see if I can get the error.
Let me know if you have any procedure I can try to get this error.
Also, you removed the cing.cab and then installed yours and ran it? That should be fine as the only cingular branding is that cab being ran after the welcome.
Fixed it... I think!
Ok, so it seems to be your 1.51 version of the HTC X-Button task manager. I always set the "End progs by tapping X" (not the default tap-and-hold option..) The previously mentioned error only ever happens when I'm tapping X to close down something or other... So, I installed my own .cab of this app (v1.5 build 29196) and all is now fine!
I'll probably do a fresh flash of your Rom tomorrow (its 2am now here) just to be sure, but I think I'm right in saying that your implementation of the x-button app in rom does not give the x-button icon in /start/settings/system... (i now have this by virtue of my reinstalling the app...) I think this icon *is* needed because if you choose to turn off the x-button "shortcut" thingy in the today screen there would otherwise be no way to get back to the x-button option settings.
Hope this helps...
Moz.
a-ha, I got the error now myself, but only if set to close app on clicking the X and furthermore then closing a system app that is running from shell32.exe. For some reason my entries of immune apps aren't being taken as immune. I'll look into this. Good catch!
The program however is in settings, system and is listed as task manager...
Ok, here is the fix, just install this cab (reg entries only) and it'll be working after the next soft reset... I'll figure out why this didn't work from the main hive before the next release.

[Obsolete] Pandora Naked ROM with Big Storage

Here's my Naked 5 ROM. It includes the following:
Windows Mobile 6 Professional CE OS 5.2.1620 Build 18128.0.4.4
Camera 4.0 build 28276
Arcsoft MMS 4.2
Internet Sharing
AT&T Black Stock Dialpad (3G in next post)
10 Button Black Comm Manager
Comm Manager Vibe Toggle
8525 Keyboard Mapping
PreConfig launches SetHSDPA & SetAccousticParameters.
Points to note:
Button 5 is mapped and ready to use / PTT is disabled
It uses Bepe's Big Storage OS.nb/XIP v3.60 and is based on a stripped version of austinsnyc Lite ROM (with permission - thanks dude!)
It does not launch extended ROM or storage card installations, nor does it include a radio, IPL/SPL, splash screens, extended rom, or anything else. JUST THE OS.
Memory Details:
Storage Free: 80.04
Program Free: 30.49
(Launcher and poutlook.lnk removed from /Windows/Startup - nothing installed, after reset and fully rebooted)
I would recommend you install the .NET Framework after flashing, as I did not include 2.0 or 3.5 in the base and some programs you install / use may require it to work. See the next post for links / downloads.
Why? I wanted a super stripped and fast base to add my cabs to with a crapload of storage. I don't have the time to keep tweaking my custom rom configuration, so this will give me the most flexibility and performance.

Using KarhU's stats, I put together this build based on performance statistics. It's clean and fast - and should run as fast (if not faster) as the best one's out there. I should have started a new thread - as it's a whole new ball of wax - but it's look and feel is exactly what I started after.
Here's KarhU's great thread on benchmarking. I've learned a lot from his work - it's an excellent asset for tuning

Note too that I didn't include the .rgu files. Please use the kitchen if you want to use the components.
Evolution History
Pandora Naked 1 - 3 was based on the Kitchen version 9.5, but had a problem with PIE speed
Pandora Naked 4U was based on austin's rom release, but setacousticparameters didn't launch correctly and was missing a few notification alarms

Additional Cabs for ROM
Here's the .NETFX and SQL CE files:
.NETFX CE 2.0
.NETFX CE 3.5
SqlCE 2.0
SqlCE 3.0 (already in ROM)
Here's some items I've found on the forum, or in the case of the Random Access package, I built a cab for it and included the registry settings to integrate it into the dialer / hard button 113.
Hi, is this a 3.60 ROM, or a newer ROM with bebe's 3.60 mod?

It uses bepe's modded 3.60 OS.nb/XIP, and it does not include a 3G dialer.
I retained the HTC3GVT.dll within the rom in case you have your own 3G version you want to use.
*Edit: The dialpad you install needs to have all the components, including the dialpad and smartdial dll's, to use with 3G.
Hi,
I'll give it a try as I'm fed up of several troubles had with cooked in apps-
You advise to install .NET Framework 3.5 cab FIRST? That is, before installing the ROM? I'm surprised but will do as you say.
Thanks.
EDIT: Well, I was unable to install it first, as it says the version is not intended for this device...

If you use the CAB-file with .wm. in it (NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab), it should work..
You'll find it at ftp://ftp.servage.net/Upload/Micorosft .NET CF 3.5 RTM/CABS/

hi Matt,
I wonder: if you install everything afterwards using cabs, will this use more memory or will it be the same as coocked in ROM? In other words: do cooked-in programs use the same memory (size and type) as CAB-installed programs, as far as you know?

Sorry for the cab mistake, I'll fix the reference in the first post and make it clearer. I meant to say "after flashing, install the .NET framework before installing any other programs."
As for the memory comparison, the total space consumption is about the same, but you don't have the extra dsm and .rgu files, and the files are installed to the correct target directory, rather than all residing the windows directory - increasing file system performance (at least while browsing the contents of the /Windows directory anyway).
Edit: Updated context of post 1 and redirected link to original thread on .NET topic.
Whoohoo!!! 2 stars! I think that just made my whole day
I truly feel honored and quite special.
'Tis easier to complain than to provide fixes...
Mods - feel free to delete. I'm going back into my cave now.
Frickin about time...awesome rom. sdhc support I hope? So glad you left out netframework 2.0 as I hear installing 3.5 without having 2.0 cooked in prior boosts performance by 20%.
Device just rebooted, time to test =)
Directories seem take forever to load in file explorer.
Edit: Soft-reset seemed to fix that. Now navigating through directories seems much quicker than previous rom. Overall the device seems 2x as fast as my last rom. I had like 5 programs opened and running and still navigating through the start menu and then settings/programs screen was instantaneous. Great frickin rom so far.

The only time I've seen this issue with after running PIM Backup and restore my phone settings. After restoring, it's super slow until I reset, then all is fine. It's done it on every rom I've used.

Thanks for great ROM, will try it out sometime. PIM backup hogs up cpu after restore, i usually let my phone sit for a while, and then it finishes whatever it does. I used to softreset the phone as soon as i restore, but not anymore. I think it mainly hogs the cpu after call log restore, if there is call logs of 100 or more..

Nice work!
Is it possible to get connection sharing working on a previous schaps 4.01 lite install? I've tried a few but none work very well.
I'm happy with the way mine is set up, and was going to flash 4.30 lite when it's released (as it's got connection sharing), but I dont want the hassle of reinstalling everything.
If I could get it working on my current install I'd be happy.

There are a few SetupVoip cabs floating around these forums.
The ones I tried didn't work.
But the Good News is;
I cooked Voip in and got it working.
I also cleaned up the registry and initflashfiles.dat
So first thing tomorrow, when I get back to my office, I will Upload the New Release.

How did you manage to cook modules back in the ROM ? Or you haven`t used modules but just files from cab ?
BTW.. maybe you should update .NET CF in this ROM

Thanks to Everyone for the Positive Feedback.
I still need verification that Voip is working for everyone.
If it is, I will move on to what is next on My Agenda.

[PRJ+ROM][UPDATAD:2009.01.05]WWE.KitchenTree. "LEGO" mode. Ready for cook.

As is.
Just press the "!COOK.CMD" file. (or make your changes before)
Old opinion:
>>8M of PP - after long time of testing looks as the optimal size for performance/RAM.<<
New opinion:
12M PP looks bit more responsible to interface.
New packages & drivers.
Tweaked several packages - for less memory use.
Tried to put all possible configs in one OEM/xxxconfig folder.
UC ready, - look to _ADDS/Internal Storage forder for example.
Mark all content of "Install" forder as "read only". Or you loose it after install or hard reset.
The best way - look inside "provision.zip" and make your own config file. Put it in "Install" folder and line as
"XML: \Storage\Install\provider.xml" to "sdconfig.txt".
Password for provision.zip you can find at the help page of Connection setup.
You need unsigned HardSPL!
Don't forget about hard reset after first install & make content of "Internal Storage/Install" READ ONLY!

P.S. Remark for all:
I open this thread for people, who want to make own rom, but don't want spent the time for brutal operations.
Not all components is "mondi's original", - big thanks for

Prewien,

and others for ideas and work.
It's only "timepoints" of my kitchen. With bugs, mistakes etc.
Will be glad to see opinions, founded bugs, new ideas.
EVERYBODY CAN USE IT AT ALL, if they use it for private ROM or follow the same "open" politics.
i get errors when extracting. winzip says its corrupt and win rar says invalid or corrupt authenticity information. win rar will complete the extration, but i'm not about to flash anything when there are errors. maybe upload again?

hi,
at first, i have the same problem with extracting (3.8) and authentification,
but it extracts ... i dont know, if some files wouldnt extract?
the second is
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH" !
where you are the last weeks during i flashing my rom with kaiserkitchen
(it's very good, but for beginners its very strong ... with a liitle time spend
and reading here and reading there its gone) ?
i cooked my own rom ... i think its 3 houers before ...
its always the same - iam finishing with this one - than an other cooker/flasher puts a new thread and all the works begin at zero.
but that is it what we love i think.
i will use my rom for 3 or 4 houers than i will test/use your kitchen
thank you for your work.
okokur
p.s.
my english is not so good and the time its gone to morning,
my comment to your thread means positiv/happy. it dont means any angries
Hello!
I repeat: it's not "my" kitchen.
"My" is only changes in OEM/SYS/ROM folders.
I like this kind of kitchen for useful "stepping".
Forgot, where did I find it. Somewhere here
Bit later will be update to 20757 (HD ported).
This kitchen seems of no use to me.
It needs .nb, .wrn and other files which are'n present.
Maybe some explanating how to get them, I would like to try it.

Just press !COOK.CMD.
May be damaged archive? Check the md5 sum to arh.
Ok, sorry it's working now...
Another question: a lot of files are from date 10th of July, for example the manila files. Does this mean these files really are so old???
The latest versions of manila are of a newer date are they?

Marked "stable" original Diamond manila.
If you want the alternative - look to the "_OUT" folder.
Updated to Blackstone's XIP/SYS 20757.
Manila updated to last "official": 1.1.35097.1_1630.38
Style to gray.
I just got my Diamond 2 weeks ago. I cook my first ROM using your kitchen tree but I have some questions:
1. Why the setting up screen is all black ? I thought there were some sort of Windows Mobile 6 background
2. I tried to set up bluetooth but it shows me a message box with something like "No bluetooth hardware"
I follow the instructions by just clicking !Cook.cmd. I didn't change anything in your packages. Did I do something wrong ?
Please advice. By the way, thanks for this kitchen tree.

I coocked my ROM with version 20755: everything's fine here with bluetooth (and all other stuff). I use bluetooth for my carkit, works fine.
I benchmarked this ROM with my usual benchmarks: it's pretty fast compared to others! I left out Opera and Google Maps, but I don't think that makes a big difference in benchmark results.
I will try your Blackstone upgrade this evening, I'm curious if that's faster than the 20755... (in fact I don;t think so).
There is one strange thing in this one: I can't change pagepool. Using pagepoolchanger.exe it says it can't find the right address...
Keep you informed...
Thank you mondilv for the this kitchens! Great job

I suppose you use the ? because you don't know why I make this remark? Well, if you like take a look at my thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406640, you can compare this ROM with many others, all tested on the same device, under the same circumstances, more or less.. I will add this ROM's benchmark results later this evening.

PagePoolChanger DOES work on most 'normal' Diamond ROMs, I've used it many times before. But I guess it conflicts with the uldr thing... no problem.
here friend... like mentioned in a PM sent you this morning... I'm porting some pieces of your base sys/xip for including in my rom (dia duit), of course I'll mention that the base rom comes from your hard work
instead of upgrading the whole sys I prefer to choose faster/smaller dlls between different sys
anyway also my rom is open, because I strongly believe that this is the only way to proceed to a faster development... by sharing infos each other
but I'll prefer to share the whole kitchen on my 1st stable release, now we are at v08, because till now my rom has some bugs
thx mate!
bye,
davide

here how to change PP on diamonds:
open final .nbh file with a hex editor (I use pspad)
search the following hex value: 389FE550089FE5
as you find it change next two numbers (in an original rom, these two values are 00 25)
search again for the same hex value, again you need to modify the adjacent two values (in case of an original rom, these two values are 03 25)
values:
for pp 0 Mb: 00 25
for pp 8 Mb: 02 25
for pp 12 Mb: 0C 26
for pp 16 Mb: 10 26
of course I wasn't able to find alone... I found thx to the great & nice Seatone
have fun

I was bad surprised too. Quite big diff between close versions. About 5%, isn't it?
After trying several combination of xip/sys me like 20755 at last time.
Or xip757/sys755 - no bad too.

[Release] [Kitchen] - SuperJustKitchen v0.9 - Engage!

SuperJustKitchen v0.9 Released.
Go to my site: http://justkitchen.info to get the updates and the info. It takes to long to update every device's forum that is supported, and I plan to support all devices, eventually.
Word of warning:
Not all EXT's have been tested or modified for the every device. Please test test and test and then let me know which packages don't work and what YOU've done to fix them. (I don't have time to fix ALL of them by myself.) Some packages will only be compatible with some devices.
(I'm no longer updating each thread separately for each device but just updating my site and posting the release info here. I will only update each thread to say that a new version is out.)
**Warning**
Before using this kitchen, you MUST read the whole thread. Any questions that have been answered will be ignored. This is your only warning.
**Disclaimer**
I am not responsible for any damage that may be done to your phone with a ROM created in this kitchen.
I am not responsible for any damage done to your computer.
I am not responsible for anything... at all.
Introducing SuperJustKitchen!
SuperJustKitchen is based on [http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=843218"]airxtreme[/URL]'s osKitchen Zero. All credit on for the kitchen backend goes to him.
Features
A completely stripped ROM. (Work in progress for some devices.)
LZX and XPR compression (Also option for No compression.)
Auto clean files that are language specific or DPI specific that your ROM does not need
Auto port missing language MUI files
Automatic rec'loc'ing for devices without native 6.5 nk's
6.1 and 6.5 support
Auto XIP and SYS porting
Auto NBH packing
Tool to convert OEM packages to EXT packages
Auto file conflict fix (don't have to removing older file that conflict (not that there are any. )
Save custom ROM settings (for cooks for multiple ROMs)
Cook multiple languages at the same time with the same ROM settings (Have to add language support yourself. I removed the required MUI's a while back because they made updating the kitchen and adding devices a nightmare.)
MUCH better organization of EXT packages
Active development instead of a program that is no longer being developed
Cleaner and easier to use interface
A built-in and customizable Tutorial section
And more!
Builds included
21056 - WM6.1
23658 - WM6.5 with new redesigned GUI

At the moment, this is an ENGLISH (WWE) only kitchen. This might change...
NOTE: In order for me to keep track of whether my time was well spent or wasted, if you use this kitchen to make a ROM, please either include SJK in the name or just mention that it was SJK cooked in your ROM's thread.
NOTE: This kitchen assumes that you know how to flash through SD, recover from a bad flash and are able to backtrack your steps to figure out how you broke your own ROM. If you do not understand these, please learn them first. Do not PM me asking me. I have written numerous walkthroughs on all these except on how to backtrack your steps. For that, just remember what you're doing as you do it and keep backups.
If you find any issues, PLEASE report them to the bug tracker in my website. It will help me make this kitchen better!
ENJOY!!!
Well ... I have repaired my Hermes yesterday and now I'm trying ROMs here and none of them really suits me.
So your SJK came in the right time. I did few ROMs for myself last year, so I'm gonna try your SJK probably this evening.
And if it will work flawlessy, I'm considering donation.
Impressive..
Downloading and will hopefully be trying this out soon.
Let me know if you run into any problems with the native nk and changing the pagepool. (I don't have a test device, unfortunately.)

I am cooking a 23529 native build now and will know here soon
Well, I have built 6.5.x ROM with native kernel and 16MB pagepool. I didn't add anything in the ROM and I'm missing Camera, CommManager, ClearStorage and stuff like this in the ROM. Suppose I have to add them externally.
Now I'm gonna try adding some things and changing pagepool etc.

You have to actually add them in the EXT packages. They are not built in so that you can choose your own. I stripped the OEM and created packages of all required programs and made them into EXT packages.
Ooops, my bad. I've just extracted EXT, SYS, SJK, HERMES archives and didn't check the wrong paths. Because everything puts itself in Sources and the EXT has got Working_Folder/EXT instead of Sources/EXT.
I was wondering why I can't see any EXT things in the osKichten.exe
I must be doing something wrong then cause mine won't go past the boot screen using native. I used everything default. Will try again.
This has happened to me the first time i tried this Kitchen ... then I've tried it again and it worked.
But I'm havning problem with the EXT. I can't select packages from the folders. I can just select folders. :\
EDIT: Ok, I surreder - where are the C_cingular, C_xyz.cab things? I can't find them anywhere to get rid of them.

Well, the first issue (not showing apps) was cause by the 0.7 version instead of 0.8 ... i really should give more attention to what I'm downloading.
The EDIT line, about C_Cingular_GoodEmail*.cab, PT_Cingular_Whitelist* etc. - those are apps which are automatically installed after first boot. I suppose it's cause by the line "EXEC:\Extended_ROM\autorun.exe" in PreConfig.txt in OEMOPERATORS. But - where does that autorun.exe has it's config? and where's Extended_ROM in the Kitchen? Because afaik it isn't the same as EXT?
EDIT: I got an idea - aren't those cabs just remains of the ExtROM from AT&T ROM? Then, howto delete them? By making my ROM BigStorage? :|

Fixed for next build. ^_^
For now, just remove the preconfig.txt file.
Please report any future bugs to the bug tracker. (There are way too many threads to keep track of all of them.)
I've registered to bugtracker ... and the confirmation email didn't come, so I can't post new bugs. I guess I have to post it as guest?

I activated you manually. I'm not sure why it's not sending out the emails. I'll look at the code of the site.
I take it this isn't bigstorage? If not do you plan to have one bigstorage? I'd like to be able to do bigstorage in 6.1 and 6.5 and this looks like my best option..
thanks
Since the bugtracker is broken:
These things are buggy:
any Connection Wizard - I can't get it to work
Dialer - Every dialer is buggy and if I try to cook there else OEM Dialer (found by google), it doesn't work too
ClearStorage - doesn't do hardreset
Then I'd appreciate battery.dll which is by 1% and not 10%.
Making the ROM BigStorage would be a big plus too. And AFAIK I shouldn't have 39MB RAM with 6MB PagePool? 39MB is for 16MB PP, right?
MrDSL, are you experiencing anything of these issues too?

Strange. I'll have to test the connection wizards on the wing.
The dialers work fine on the wing. Does the dialer named Hermes work? (It's directly from the Hermes.)
ClearStorage - Your device might require an older clearstorage. I'll have to look for one.
That sounds like the native 6.5 nk isn't getting its pagepool changed.
I'll see about that. The Hermes 6.5 nk is notorious for most pagepool tools not working on it.
As far as the bigstorage. Give me a link to it and I will see about including it.
well, i'll try the not-native kernel (what disadvantages it has anyways?)
about bigstorage & clearstorage & dialer - i'll do some searching and testing and send you working links (since you don't have testing device).
