Hello,
I have recently bought an HTC P3300 and I'm really interested in knowing if exists any method (software, plugin, hardware, etc...) to switch the frequency of the FM radio (f.ex. to the next preset) directly through the button inserted in the earphones cable.
Some Nokia mobile phones already have this possibility, and the same button can chnage the frequency of the FM radio and also answer if someone is calling you.
Thanks in advance

Hi!
Is there any alternative FM tuner software that could be used with P3300. The original software is OK, but I miss a RDS AF (alternative frequency) option.
Regards,
PK
I'm still not sure there is even RDS on the P3300. If there is no RDS than other radio software will not help.
The device does have RDS, it can display the radio station name but in order for this to work you need a good quality signal, sadly the aerial built into the headphones isn't up to much in way of reception - Mike
I think receiving the station's name and displaying other Data ist not quite the same. I believe RDS PS is the Service that displays the Stations Name. Nearly all Radios have that. I have some radios though, that are capable of Displaying the Station Name, but no further informations. These Informations come with RDS EON (Radio Data System with Enhanced other Networks) AF and TA, only to name two, are services that come along with RDS EON. So i am guessing, that Artemis FM Software is truly capable of RDS, but not EON.
I'd also like to have a software that can do that

This prog is made up of a FM radio receiver, that consists of a card in Compact Flash (CF) format in combination with mobile radio software.
You maybe able to get the software but I seriously doubt it would work.

I have question about FM RADIO for Hermes. Can it working in Poland? Where can I found that program?
Why would you want FM in India? it's rubbish, get MP3's of your own and play it off the phone than listen to some repetitive playlist (with tonnes of ads) that they call FM channels here!
???????
JAJAJJAJAJA BTW how ca you make it works? if hermes dont has the hardware? jajajaa men are u lost...?
fm
do you have media package with your service?
Thread Closure
No hardware for FM in HERMES.
It will never work.
This thread needs to be CLOSED.
Does anyone know how activate the FM transmitter or someone creates an application?
FM Transmitter cannot be activated from software.. it required some hardware.. which is not available for HTC Desire
There were various discussions about this. The wireless radio chip in the Desire is specified to have FM RX/TX (on Broadcom's site) but nobody managed to activate it, since an antenna is missing or additional hardware.
Another thread about this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=622377&page=42 - the HD2 has the same chip as the Desire.

Hi people, im looking into extending the frequency range of the HTC Wildfire FM Radio.
Currently, set in the UK, the range is 87.5 - 108.00MHz
I want to get the most out of the radio chip and was wondering if there is an app, or hack of such which can extended these ranges, by my knowledge if this phone was designed for use in China or other Asian countries it could be extended out of these ranges.
I want the radio to give me the full spectrum of its radio frequency capabilities.
Can anyone help?
Also, another modification i would like to achieve is too use the WIFI chip to not only connect to normal 802.11 b/g, but if, and maybe if possible "listen" to the whole frequency range that the wifi chip is capable of achieving, and not use it for its proposed purpose.
Thus turning the HTC Wildfire into a Android Radio Scanner.
I know there are apps for listening to streams over the internet but this is not what i want. I want realtime scanning and audio.
I hope some smart little programmer out there can make this happen....please, and thankyou.
