Hello all,
I just upgraded my 8525 to wm6 black 2.0, all went flawless, thank you very much for all envolved.
1 problem, is there a known keyboard issue, and fix. I noticed when I selected shift (to use a symbol) from the keyboard it was the wrong symbol.
Example, I hit the blue dot so I could select the colon, but I got a semi colin. The dash actually was the colon.
I hope this makes sense, is there a known issue and fix?
Thank you.
is this a joke?
you couldn't read the wiki (or do a simple search) before starting a new thread and asking a question that has been answered thousands of times already?!?!?
Mods, please ban this user and close this thread.
Sheesh easy turbo...
I did a search...
I saw no wiki...
Found no answer. Why do you got to be sucha jerk. Oh yeah and thank you for the answer.
Close the thread is fine but ask for me to be banned... I am a newbie... this is my welcome to my first post...
Here you go. It was easy to find though.
Thank you... and yes after the post above I searched again and found it. It helped narrowing the search to the correct forum.
Thanks again KarhU

You need to soft reset!
I crush you like a puny bug!
(Said with my best gap-toothed Ahnuld accent. Which, in all honesty, kinda sucks)

Will this CAB file work with the Softbank X01HT also? I'm also having the keyboard layout issue. While I did find a way to manually tweak the registry, I would rather not mess with it if this CAB can fix my issue. Any help is appreciated.
this works for me.
Hi to everybody,
My trinity came back repaired (in warranty), so I lost any programme. I reinstalled TomTom6 from www.htc.com, but I have frequent freezings. Can you please send me the atfix.cab (if I'm not wrong) or tell me where to download it? Thanks a lot

You opened a thread just for that...oh come on...give us a break will you?....
Search...and you'll find...
It's because of users like you that this forum is so full of trash threads...

I don't know why both of you are so nervous, I only asked help for a problem. What's so trashy in my question? I was nor unpolite, neither spamming. Sorry to disturb you! It's the first time I find such a "welcome" (so to say) in a forum. Goodbye

hey francic,
some people here are pretty anal about 'searching'. i posted a question and i got some **** as well.
i have TomTom and it freezes up every 10 min, then someone suggests to disable all the POIs. i did that and it seems to fix my freeze problem. so if you enable POIs, try disable them and it should help.
Seek and yee shall find .....

hey francis,
did the file and/or my suggestion to disable POIs resolve your freezing issue?

1. Yes what you did was SPAM
2. If you use the search, just write atifix and you will see several threads/posts with that kind of file.
3. If everyone do the way you do, what would you think it happen.
Thousands of open threads with the same questions/requests.
At least before asking why don't you try to find it by yourself??
I know it's hard work!!
Much more easy to just ask and wait!!!
But this is just my opinion!!!

Different oppinion, he's not 100% guilty y'know.
This forum, the whole xda-developers, is a very inefficient information management/sharing tool. To sum it up, information's duplicated, scattered, isn't correctly tagged and we don't even have an efficient (built-in)basic search.
Unless something changes, this'll keep happening.
update: @mikhe69
I think that an external +10 field search form(google advanced search) that will return more than 10 results(at best) isn't acceptable.
"2. If you use the search, just write atifix and you will see several threads/posts with that kind of file."
That's the issue(I'm talking about), not the solution.
But oh well, #care 'bout this.

Well, what I call "freezing" could be actually "slowing down", I'm not sure. I didn't yet any trip in the last days, so I'll check your suggestion on the road. What I observed is a very slowed digitation in writing the target (cities). May it depend on the different location of executive programme (in the pda memory) and of maps (in the external sda)? Or on the exploited internal memory (phone contacts: may I tranfer them to sda?)?

Oh.. Thank you Stylez. I'm aware that I sure as hell should have used the search function to make things easier for the moderators, and I'm sorry that I was unable to overcome my haste. Please understand that I felt this was very urgent because none of my phones (Omnia; Wing; Dash) were picking up the computer's connection, and I didn't think the problem was my computer. I did a complete system restore, so that might have been the culprit. Anyway, things are working perfectly now, and I've finally been able to try the new Windows Live! Thank you guys. I'm glad i can always get good help here.

I don't have a problem helping people, I just like to help people that help themselves, do some searches , find some answers , have some questions, no problem. I'm sure myself and others won't have a problem helping you and others that did their homework regarding an issue and just need direction. Like they have done for me, I'll do the best I can to help people that are working on something and they need a tip or an explanation on how to properly do it. Feel free to pm me if you need anything.lol

Hi,
Sorry to be such a noob but what are the advantages of rooting?
And if I was thinking of doing it, why would I?
Sorry again ... I am a newbie
@Raminder1992
Plenty of advantages to root but in order to understand them and the whole process you need to search the forums with reference to other handsets to give you an idea, if we answer your questions it only leads to more new members posting basic questions in what is a development forum that currently is hanging on what happens next with the desire rooting process.
In other words click the search button and take some time to read or you'll just annoy those of us that desperate for progress on this handset.

Simple:
root=administrative rights to the system........ basically the same thing in your computer when you have administrative account...
normal mode is like a normal windows user account where you have possibility to (un)install software but you cannot change the system
So the final piece in the puzzle is about to be delivered. I'm buying it!

there are many, many reasons, but to give a few examples. firstly, those of us not in regions where google allow us to access the paid apps, we can change that by a few parameter settings, we can also change where we're from, if a developer wanted to block out our region, for whatever reason. after that, when you look even further, there are plenty of apps on the market that require root to work properly, there's one that allows you specify what apps launch on startup, there's a firewall that allows you control what connects through your data plan, there's a flashlight that keeps your camera flash on and many, many more. without root, these things don't work properly, because they don't have the right permissions.
for me, the reasons above are good, but not the main reason. for me, where I work, we use a LEAP wireless security system that (I think) all Android devices can connect to, without a problem. unfortunately though, the Android developers haven't added that option to the wireless config GUI. this isn't a problem if I get root, because then I can just edit the config file and change one line. without root, though, I don't have wireless connection during a good part of every day, which sucks.
