This is the first rom that I have been able to connect the trnity to vista without having to unselect advanced network in the settings
found some issues!
1- when trying to change some time zones in the new plugin the keyboard icon
dissapeared
2- Initial connect to my bluetooth headset but then doesn't work anymore.
Just 1 more thing: If you can just check new udK rom, he uses the same OS as you but I've never see a faster ROM.
Anyway this new Home plugin looks very good, and I think it's more usefull than the HTC Home

There is also an issue if you have the advanced usb unchecked, the trinity display an unable to connect message, but still this rom is lightening fast, and if hellonasty can fix this mnor issue or provide a soloution will be a great rom

I have the problem on sending SMS, not the sending problem but the input problem, I think most of you are input English, right ? I am input Chinese with CE-Star 2.8 R3a installed and using the pen writing recognizer, my problem is when I input chinese, it is too small to see, I cannot find any setting that can change the font size when sending text message, anyone can help ? Thanks a lot !

There are a few problems with this rom for me (Dopod 810)
Phone is not working properly, audio manager not finding music on storage card, wmp not able to play audio or video, clock is gaining 1 minute for every 2 hours. HTC home screen does multiple screen refreshes every time you use its icons, messaging not working correctly. Don't think it is worth testing any further... so back a version or 2 I go. Mind you this ROM does look very good but I suppose it is extremely fast because there are some critical services missing.

regarding Taskmanager Vdias is just saying that he don't need PHM RegEdit because already have some registry tool inside Taskmanager.
But...where in the Taskmanager can we see the registry tool ???

weather not working
Hello, I am in SLC, UTAH, USA and the weather does not get updated, I notice this with most of the roms but it does work with Bepe's rom very well. Could you check and see what can I do to get this going?

Thanks that's not the problem since the city is in the list. It does not pull down the info. In order to get it updated I need to connect to the active sync which is not the best case all the time.

Hi loving your ROM very sexy and quick, just got my fix of upgrading to 1.2 Looks sweet, but I really miss Voice command as I beleive the version your using instead doesnt read your SMS or calender appointments aloud to you & too be honest I loved showing off that feature!
Any chance you can put both in next release??

You can add the Voice Command, poblem with voice command there are several versions depending upon the region of the world you are in...
and the Us version is useless for us in the US as the voice dial does not work as we have deifferent telephone format etc...
You can add it very easily thou..
I was one off the ones whom asked it to be removed..
Plus the MS Voice Command is not freeware.. etc

Battery leak very normal with this edition. (75-77mA with 50% backlight, BT, G3, Phone on.)

I've tried so far many cooked and original ROMs, but never had that much free RAM after installing everything (even SPB applications). It always stays above 20 MB ?!?! I'm amazed.
The only thing I hate is boot-up screen (just awful)

First I'd like to say thanks for the great Rom.
I do however have a question about the HTC Home Plugin, when adding your favorite people, it doesn't seem to give me the ability to select which type of phone number, ie mobile, home, business, etc.
Is there an upgrade of the Home Plugin for this feature, or some place in the settings where I can select which phone number to use?
I've noticed on some Roms, I get that option to pick and choose which number, but on this specific Rom, I didn't get that as a selection.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I do not believe is used on this ROM.

Like it, fast with lots of storage space.
Can't seem to access Comm Manager though. Bit of a problem when Hermes decides to use 3G internet connection and I can't seem to stop it. Didn't like my solution of soft reset, Decided to HR instead... Though that could be because I didn't install stock rom 1st.
Fix the Comm manager and put in a camera & it would be awesome...

Thanks for the work, its great to see another chef in the kitchen, they seem to thinning out as the newer models come out and the chefs move to these newer devices...
You can get access to Comm Manager by pushing comm button, or by shortcut in tools dir. Maybe installing unconventional wasn't such a great idea. Whats wrong with camera? It works for me.

thats a similar thing i did with my titanium rom. didnt release that one but im considering it though when the official 6.5 build is released in about a month or so.

Yeah, I like clean ROM too. There will be more to choose from. I'm actually working on a version with couple more apps.

It is good to have another chef here for us that still having Hermes.
I got a sugestion to this ROM because it has being a request on other threads. The unlock slide on the top is dificult operate. It will be better ( for most users ) to have at the bottom. Other than that, it's a good ROM. Congrats!

I haven't had a lot of time to use this ROM yet but it seems pretty good so far and it has the new contact manager. I also like that the txt msg shows the date and time of a received txt now.
The screenshot is Black Bliss so if you want yours to look like that then download it. If not it will just be plain Titanium.
NOTE: There is no task manager with 23071 because theres a bug with showcase where it will lock up sometimes when closing tmail.exe so I didn't include it. Its something with the newer 6.5 builds and theres no fix yet

No I'm not but thats ok. Theres a newer 23060 thats out but I decided not to use that one for now.
I'm curious though if anyone is using this ROM have you noticed any problems with the battery drain? My battery is crap so I can't judge by mine anymore..

No I'm not but thats ok. Theres a newer 23060 thats out but I decided not to use that one for now.
I'm curious though if anyone is using this ROM have you noticed any problems with the battery drain? My battery is crap so I can't judge by mine anymore..

I have to say, seems to be tarring through the battery but I just realized I forgot to hard reset.... Doo. So, I will let you know. After a real test.
Nobody else is reporting problems with battery consumption in 23420 so I would be surprised.

Yes I applied all the fixes..As far as I can tell everything works fine..

what menu? if you're referring the new ui thats much bigger and the x and start button being at the bottom you cant..thats the direction ms is going to now to make it more finger friendly.
i know its a bit to get use to but at some point here real soon all 6.5 roms will be the same. i decided to bite the bullet and start using it so i would get use to it..after a couple days im started to like it a little more but my hand still goes to the top all the tim still.

Even when I drop titanium its still around 21mb. Without honeycomb or the new unlock screen maybe.
Problems so far :
- on some boots it just stays on splashscreen and hangs, softreset does the trick.
- after installig Automapa (something like tomtom) and widcomm bluetooth stack and rebooting it a few times it stopped working, only shows AT&T logo, then gray screen and stays that way.
Those 2 programs were the only ones installed, nothing more.
And I know they arent the problem 'coz I used them for about a year now.

After spending alot of time using different interfaces with my aging Hermes I have always enjoyed manilla the most. I present to you the latest Manilla2d from Mega. I'm using 21864 because it has the older 6.5ui which seems to use up less memory than the newer 23*** 6.5ui. It appears pretty stable too. I tried to do the best I could memory wise but its manilla and has animation. This is all beta too so some things might not work right but hopefully theres a simple fix.

I find that your rom pretty stable and fast.
Just one annoying bug, the wifi searching every couple of minutes which draining the battery pretty fast. i know that is manila 2d bug. i hope someone could fix this.
Just one suggestion, is it possible to create a lite version, without games, locking slide etc. just manila 2d mega with basic htc stuffs, clock animation, contact, album,map, internet browser,settings etc.

Its pretty close to that already besides the games right? Ya I just noticed the wifi bug I'm looking for a fix as its very annoying.
As far as getting rid of the sliding lock you can do that already.
Go to Start/Settings/System/Smart Lock
Just uncheck the wm6.5 lock box and bam you have the old plain lock

go into bootloader mode and flash rom from there.
i tried doing it through going in bootloader mode and try using mtty program but nothing worked wat can i do now???
Try to put rom image to storage card (if it's 2GB or smaller because it don't work otherwise) and rename it to HERMIMG.NBH and the hold power button and left side OK button and softreset with stylus, then you should press power button to begin update but it will say that on screen...

Its actually a oem package that I use. I've never used a cab for it so can't help you there sorry.

I've decided the mega manilla is just too much of a resource hog and has too many bugs to use on the Hermes. I have found a much more stable version and everything seems to work but the negative is it takes up a lot of space. I think it came in around 30mb left after I booted but as far as ram goes it was 18mb after boot. Which isnt bad at all for manilla.

I'm sorry its apparently a problem with this manilla version and I have't found a fix yet
I switched to another version of Manilla which works great but takes up a lot more space.

Info about apps, ram, rom in Lite and Manilla, Please.
Very nice and clean. I installed Titanium version to my Dopod 838 pro and liked it so much. It's clean with enough room for improvisations and personalizations. Activelynk Connection is not buggy unlike my previous. I feel its faster than any of the roms i used here. Keyboard is great touch pro and very smooth key sounds.
I recommend this rom for those who would wanna make their own personalized phones from the "litest" roms. Thank you sir.

Sorry for the noob question, but why do you recommend installing a stripped ROM before installing this one? Doesn't the new ROM overwrite everything anyway?

You need to install the manilla config cab. I actually included this so just look under My Documents for the .cab.
Then launch it and you can enable any tabs I have disabled. Some of which don't work so keep that in mind also.

Check advanced config, its got an option to change the keyboard layout.

Wow! This is easily the prettiest ROM I have seen. Unfortunately was getting memory errors left and right when using Skyfire or even IE. This IE version is amazing tho... Is there a way to get this IE by itself?
