Windows Vista Orb on HTC Wing? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

Anyone know how to change the Windows Flag on the Start Menu to the Windows Vista Orb? Would Appreciate doing this on my T-Mobile Wing.
Thanks !!!!

282 views and noone knows? Guess its not possible.

i would like to know also

you can get wisbar i think does it, with a skin. but i'd like just a little simple thing, i don't have to skin everything.
and i thought MS had the orb in early shots of WM6, i guess i was mistaken. i mean, they did make the icons look like they do in vista (like folders and such), why not the start flag?

You may get better answers posting in the correct forum

Check out Wisbar at http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com it may be what you are looking for. Found this in the wizard forum hope it helps

Never could find a forum for the Wing.
Only Hermes, Herald, Artemis, Kaiser etc. What's a poor boy to do?

Windows mobile - Longhorn Theme??

hi there, i need/want a theme for my xda so i can have a windows Longhorn look on my mobile, i have tried a program called eXPerience, which is like a windows XP skinning program, but i have seen pics before, but cannot find anything now, i Love longhorn and have it on my desktop pc, and would like my xda2s to look the same... 8)
anyone know of a programe that will do this???
Hmm.. I love my PDA to look pretty, but in my experience, skinning things just makes the devie even less stable.
Joey Jojo,
I have some of the Longhorn bits like the Start menu and the "Windows" background. I think there is a program called WISBAR that is like skinning for the PPC. I will have a look later today to see if this is the case.

thanks i'll try them out and tell u if it was successful
nope not working just a background and nothing else
Im also looking for this. If anyone has an idea for an working one please leat me know.
sliding panels theme-on other than kavana?
is it possible to get the theme installed on a 1.33 version? im not sure if this is his own theme and hasnt been released to the public.
i tried the kavana version and it just seems that the 1.33 works smoother (...please dont bash me, its just personal preference) and uses less battery life, so i flashed back but i really miss the theme and a few of the other options. so my next question, am i just better off cooking my own rom or is it too complicated for "slightly above average" people like me?
can anyone point me in the right direction please?
thanks in advance
The "CHome" homescreen plugin is developed by Microsoft and is part of the WM 6.1 OS. Anyway... there's ways of getting it to work on other ROMs or devices. Here's a cab I have that's supposed to make that happen. Try installing it on your device, it should work.
thanks ill give it a try
fast response much appreciated!
tried a version of chome that i found but it didnt work either...i installed the chome_2 first and got a blank background, installed a version of chome and got the same thing but only showed a partial of the blank background, like the right and top are chopped off with a different shade of green than the background, (sorry best i can describe it) i uninstalled both and reinstalled chome first then chome_2, still the same results. i guess im stuck with the brightpoint 1.33 kavana version for now. thanks for the help
sorry for the post, the kavana version changed since the last time i used it. im cool with it now, no need for this post anymore, mods please bump. thanks
Work it with WM 6.0? Thanks.

Think this has already been answered and it's not available without 6.1.
Please feel free to correct me if wrong?

Simple,clean manila rom....

I want to create a rom that is just based around TF3D, i have tried so many times at creating my own, but my laptop just messes it all up (seriously have no idea why) it crashes and comes up with loads of errors.
I want to make one that only has the following programs:
Opera - any version compatible with tf3d
File Explorer
Office
Notes - no OneNote just notes
Audio booster
Windows Media
Album - Do we need pictures and video?
Camera - obviously
S2U2 - users can install the manila style theme
Youtube
We just need the pure basics no internet explorer or anything like that.
i will be more than welcome to help graphically as much as i can and im sure that other members would love to see this ROM.
Also none of that stupid windows with the start menu at the bottom....its crap! please post here or private message me and thank you for looking
come on people!
over 100 views n no takers
Im in!
There is so many out there but they all have their own bugs but nothing only for TF3D.
I would love to see it happen and am happy to help you out but i dont know much about the cooking process...
You may try the kicthen from lobsterdave, simple and logical (add only the packs you want to) otherwise seek after the lot of "clean" ROMS and use one of those.
Or any other kitchen. I'm a big fan of this one:

foolproof, and everything explained. Instead of counting the reviews of your post, start cooking! it's simpler than you think.
Good luck!

taskbar manager

Guys....Is there any cab for getting this taskbar manager shown below?
thanks in advance
I've been wondering the same thing. I know some cooked roms won't have it depending on the version of 6.5 that is used, but I also want to know if someone was able to make this into a cab.
Also, if it's not cabbed does anyone know of any other notification managers for windows mobile besides the HTC notification enhancement?
Sorry for not answering your question shatou, but maybe we'll get a better response if more people are interested in this.
no cab. this is built into the wm 6.5.1 and 6.5.3 roms. link the wm 6.5 lock screen and titanium today screen it cant be used without the required rom.

[Q] Modified taskbar

Hello there. I know that WM 6.1 is pretty much dead, but i'm still using it cause 6.5 isn't as fast as 6.1 on Blackstone. I've searched a couple of forums for a decent taskbar, couldn't find something to suit my taste, but instead i found an interesting taskbar for WM 6.5 which fits and works almost perfect, except for the "x" and "ok" buttons which show as a white square, due to the difference between the WM 6.1 and the WM 6.5 OS. If anyone who's a savvy in taskbars could help me and point me in the right direction to edit those 2 files and settings in the cab file in order to replace them with the default ones or any other files, i'd appreciate it. Below i attached 2 screenshots of the taskbar to see what i'm talking about. Thanks
P.S. Modified it. No further assistance needed.
