I find Schaps 3.54c ROM to be the best and most stable so far and I like it features, but I didn`t like all the stuff in there so I changed things I don`t like in Schaps ROM
I`ve also managed to get extra ~4MB free storage space compared to Schap`s Lite ROM

I was wondering why no one has commented on this yet. Noticed you have only just posted this.
I do believe this is the way to go for ROM building ie do a lite version then give people the choice to load up whatever they want. I have suggested this approach to Schaps to reduce his workload but I'm not sure whether he is entirely convinced.

I seem to share your opinion on lite ROMs.. I also think that it is much easier for users to refresh apps with newer version if they can simply uninstall the old version and install the updated one, instead of waiting for the cooker to refresh its ROM with new versions
BTW.. it seems that cab addons download is working for me, click on the addons list screenshot to start the download ( it will link you to RapidShare )

Nope, it is not fixed in this ROM..
I don`t write on my device while I am in call and I was not bothered to relocate all the modules in the ROM

Yep, I think it is possible.. But I am not sure how this will reflect to stability..
I don`t use Ext. ROM too, but I am not familiar with merging Ext. ROM

The Advanced Configuration doesn't seem to work for me, get an error that a file is missing. I really like the idea of paring down some of these ROMs and making lighter versions. I'd love to see an "ultra-lite" version of this, I can't find many ROMs that leave out things like the Office Apps (which I never use) and the games, calc, etc. We need more of those!
Dear Shamanix this might be because of the missing ExtROM. Schaps had that file there along with some settings. You can check the contents of the ExtROM with HTC Extended ROM Editor v9.0.1
For me Advanced Configuration works without a problem.. hm..
What file is missing ?

I`ve found where the problem is.. I still got the Schap`s Ext. ROM on my device from last flash, since mine doesn`t touch Ext. ROM, so it didn`t give me any errors..
I will release an updated ROM.. Maybe I will remove some more stuff out too..

I tried this trick with german version of 3.54b but wasn't successful yet.
Tried all the hacks which were available from bepes big storage thread
but I ended up in an 3.54b german rom with 62.37MB storage (58MB free)
Using it at the moment without major problems. I would be also interestes
in a superstorage rom (german) but didn't get this working without major
problems yet. I tried to get this cooked in 3.57a version with merging the
existing Shamanix 3.57 superstorage rom with the 3.57a version of Schaps
german rom and in the end I had a "working" german 3.57a with 77MB storage
and 73MB free. But it wasn't stable. When I installed programs I had random
freezes and had to do every time hardreset with loosing all data again.
So for now I decided to go with the recooked Schaps 3.54b german rom.
Shamanix, I wonder how your superstorage 3.57a rom could be stable
while mine seems not to be stable at all...
Any suggestions?

I wonder why the Ext-ROM hack development somehow stopped.
Is the Ext-ROM melting hack only possible with Hermes or did bepe tried this on other devices too? if so maybe a coder cretes an app for Ext-Rom melting in the future.

On my last ROM I used mattk_r`s base, maybe he knows why his base was so stable, or any other advanced developer.. or maybe even bepe the mighty wizz himself

I made some improvements based on the previous version and then just released a new one, especially in enlarging the storage.
Basically, v1.1 is highly compatible with v1.0. Which means if you don't have problems with the previous ROM, you'll also be safe to try v1.1 and even get the old backup restored right after you flash the new one.
The regular pack includes Hard-SPL-V7/GSM 1.48.00.00/OS, boot splash and extrom were removed because of being not necessary. All the required patches and reg fixes have been integrated and become a part of OS.
I strongly recommend that people who can read Chinese come here for obtaining more information about this customized ROM. Surely, I'll take some time to do the translation later.

SIP strange issue
Thanks for your ROM. It's definitely good for users in far east who would like to use WWE ROM with reading Chinese capability.
One strange issue, that was found long time ago, I installed Monster SIP and after reseting, when u use the screen keyboard to type English, the autocomplete suggestion word menu disappeared. You can only have it back when you use backspace.
Any idea?

I'm not quite sure what the issue is about, but Monster SIP works fine on my CHT9000 and even much better than when it was on WM5.
Maybe you should check if your Monster SIP is up to date.

I will check the version of SIP but seems to me that it's the updated version.
My issue is:
When you use the on screeen keyboard to type English, there should be a word suggestion menu appeared for you to choose the right word after you typed in two letters. But now the menu disappeared, it will show up again when u use backspace.
Anyway, minor issue.
However, my device after reset for a few times, it hangs at the Windows Mobile Green screen.

it's running smoothly. I've been using this rom for a day or so very stable. all of the chinese programs i used are functioning properly.
I installed a lot of software in my hermes, say tt6 uk, tt6 tw, Monster SIP, touch dialer, 10-button CommMgr, new Audio Mgr, spb pocket pc plus, resco explorer, pocket informant, worldmate, spb traveller, skype, fring, YLdicPr Professional (chinese dictionary), Penpower business card, spb backup, PIMBackup and etc.... heavily loaded, and yet running smoothly. In the case of pre-released rom, system freeze was on a daily basis.
all in all, it's a decent Rom.

Monster SIP works fine with this rom. No problem at all. English autocomplete works fine as well.

What so special about this ROM?
Well, nothing special since I'm using the similar ROM (T-Mo 3.60 Beta) as my base ROM just like other cooks but ...
some programs are not cooked in. They are installed through Extended ROM autorun. So, if you feel that mine is bad or taking up spaces then you just can uninstall it/them and install yours. These includes HTCHome Today Plugin.
Also don't expect a large free storage like other ROMs around because I did not strip it to the max for stability purposes. Maybe one day I'll manage to make as big storage and stable as it can.

Some simple tricks you can do to improve your device (Very simple but effective) And Some Hints:
1. Improve performance/response time:
- Start > Settings > Phone > Keypad = Off
- Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications; Under Sound Tab => Disable/Untick Events (warings, system events)
2. Your Windows Mobile device is just like your Windows PC. So, soft reset it before going to sleep (or whenever appropriate) once a day to make it runs good at all time.
3. Make sure you install the today plugin apps such as Resco Today Plugin etc. on the internal/device memory. Some today plugin can be installed on the storage card but it'll slow down your system performance a bit.
4. Do not install too many apps on the internal/device memory. Leave as much free space as you can on it. Check whether it can be install on the storage card or not. Normally, don't let it become as low as 8MB free but 10MB is enough already.
5. Know what you're doing such as tampering your system registry. Make sure it can be done and you're doing it the right way. If not, then leave it as is.

Try this alternative network wizard app.
Net update will be uninstallable Dopod Network Wizard (Asia Pasific) so other users from other parts of the world can have their network setting by installing the alternative wizard.

Mine is based on T-Mo 3.60 Beta which is the latest ROM available whereas TNT 2 is based on Dopod 3.54 Official. I like Dopod too. So you can make a choice whether you want a customized ROM based on either one but try first and compare later. TNT is cooked by a very experienced cook. So I don't dare to compare mine to his.
Based on the official WM6 OS 5.2.1437 - build 17944.0.3.1 + bepe modification (Pandora v5.5 base - but I`ve used other kitchens too for this one)
This is ultra light ROM so everyone can personalize it to fit their needs..

It will be included in the Extras ( CAB Addons ) for the ROM...
the reason why i asked if you can put that especific file explorer is because its so much more convinient and im pretty sure that you can prob give it as a .cab file addon but then that means if you install it youll have both installed instead of one......let me know what you think!!

Any chance of getting Schaps battery and bluetooth tray icons? They're much nicer looking (IMHO) and the bluetooth one I find very useful. I'm not sure the details on them - if they have to be cooked in or not. If they don't I'd be perfectly happy with a .cab to install them. Other then that - it's a great looking rom and look forwards to playing wiht it!

I haven`t looked into those icons since I normally disable them..
Don`t think I will be getting those icons into my ROMs, sorry.. I don`t want to steal all of the Schaps work.. I just liked the folder icons very much
If you want your tray icons to look like that you will just have to use Schaps ROMs.. soz

6Mb version is faster, but it has fewer RAM memory free compared to 4MB version..

NEED HELP!!!
Sham i just installed your rom and for some reason i cannot connect to pc...its giving me a message saying "Sync error....to sync this device you must install Acitve sunc 4.5 or newer on your desktop" and i have the latest window mobile device center and have never had a prob. connecting to pc. i have even tried to change the setting under settings, connections, usb to pc!
That is wierd.. I am using windows mobile device center too and have no problems at all..

Never mind Sham....I just restart my computer and vualla it worked....i guess it was something with Vista...(you know that Vista always gives prob.) but its all good now...disregard!! will post again but seems to be running great!!

Ok.. I will take the ROMs down and make keyboard as optional addon..
Will update the addons too with the keyboard, different java manager ( wich can be installed on memory card ) and themes..

Important
To improve the ROM I need your help. I cannot test every function myself. If you experience any problem, please report it! I can't improve the quality without feedback.
The ROM is a light version. It only has the orignial Microsoft Windows Mobile programs. No additional software. Additional software comes later when I am sure the base ROM is stable.

WM6.1 is a new start for me, new changelog comes here
ROM is based on the newest HTC Diamond ROM (only OS and SYS part, not the HTC programs)

CommManager beam switch is not working, you can switch beam on/off using settings -> connections -> beam

Please check if your device has a RadioROM 1.46 or higher. I advice RadioROM 1.46 or higher. To view your RadioROM version go to start -> settings-> tab: System -> Device Information. The ROMS are without RadioROM.

Also, is the only dll needing replacing just sbc.dll or also bta2dp.dll?

* How much free memory after soft-reset?
* What is not included, or better: what is included? I prefer very clean rom, but I've no idea how clean a base rom is.

It has the a2dp dll from the HTC Diamond ROM, but my a2dp fix is included.
A2DP runs fine.

Does somebody know a download server like rapidshare that accepts files larger then 100mb.
Rapidshare does not accept my kitchen, 107mb

I'm a bit disappointed by the free mem though, that's quite small considering no soft has been loaded yet. I'm currently running Mary 3.7.1 and it also starts at 27Mb but with a quite a few tools loaded.
I do need at least a dialer & sms

I did not make any RAM improvements to the ROM.
This comes in the final version.
I created a quick test version with all my software from version 1.2.
That version had 28mb of free RAM with a lot of programs loaded.

Bluetooth is working fine here, A2DP too.
adewidt please put the same version of MMS composer as 1.2 in your final version
because newer version of MMS composer the sms and mms in one folder
I placed the kitchen temporary on my own server.
Upcoming weekend I will upload it in two parts to rapidshare.
Searching for a stable clean non-twiked ROM, many people always returning to stock ROM. But terrible, there is a WM 6.1! So now, if you are looking for stable, not modifyed and with diamond's native TouchFlo 1 ROM, this thread is yours. Some words about.
OS: WM 6.5.0.60 build 23081
ROM: ~125MB
RAM (total 113MB) load:
-TF1.2: ~60%
-Titanium: ~54%
Pagepool: 8MB

-No Opera.9.5 seems to be old,9.7 and later are doesn't integrate with TF link on internet tab.Looking 4 solution now..
-Standard Dialer.You may install others for your choice.
-So as you see, new standard "WM Blue" theme fits well to TouchFlo.
-No new-style lockscreen. It launches very slowly and eates almost 5MB RAM.
-Still the problem with g-sensor-based rotation..I don't know where to find well solution..you may use special programs like Gyrator or Changescreen.
-Why is Manila 1, nor v2, nor v2.5 etc? TouchFlo 1 is an official Diamond version,so it looks like it's created by HTC,without any porting from WVGA and so on.Also it works faster than any other version.
-Why pagepool is 8MB? Tryed several times. 6MB makes device very slow,10MB causes TF launching crash. When 8MB, TF launch crashes almost excluded,and diamond works well.Want to change PP size? No problem->Pagepool changer
-Want to ask something like 235xx or 28xxx? Not now. I tryed to build ROM on 28002, but it crashes very often, and usually result is HR.
-ROM isn't tweaked at all. No custom splashscreens, my signs or other "brandnames". Just feel you have a ROM from unknown publisher and only remember me if you have questions.
-I'am a not ROM maker. I just used combination of lobsterdave's kitchen and integreated 23081 build. So I'll only "try" to answer your questions.

-Make hardreset after flash..mm..Not only Shaolin' monks saying that it helps and so on)

Here just testing myself an early beta version of ROM based on 28008. Seems the fly going well,some minor bugs. Just wait for some release men.

TouchFlo 1.2 is useless without Calendar tab - it's my opinion
I think it's a great idea. The later tf3ds are slow and I prefer the built in calendar.

Nice work! I've been using the conservative 21876 branch of Makeveral's BsB ROM with his Manila 1.2 to do the same thing. I like the old school looks, and the upgraded backend. Now that Makeveral is moving to the Leo, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.
Edit: Consider adding the manila 1.x Call History tab. It's a nice feature that I haven't seen for 2.1 or 2.5 yet.

It's always interesting how differently people use the same devices. On any new ROM, the first things I always disable are the calendar, stock, music, and internet tabs. They just eat RAM, and I find I seldom look at them. When I need those functions, I just launch apps from the programs tab as needed.

Firstly I wanted to make ROM on 218xx build. But basically I don't know how to reset position of TF.It always situated upper than bottom tab. If someone know how to fix this problem, the build will be here too.

Right. Although both versions are consuming almost equal RAM value, I noticed that 218xx works much faster, without dependence on if pagepool is 8MB or 10MB. But what I like in 23081 for ex., is that this build is practically similar to 23089/23509/28008. So that's why I used this. For typical diamond user the only difference between these builds only in numbers.

Sounds like your kitchen has amarullz "e-Natives Position Fix" or "Manilapositionfix" for 6.5.1 built into it. It will shift things like Manila up a few pixels to account for the larger start bar on 6.5.1. If you can find and disable that package in the kitchen, you should be set.
