Blue Angel 4 Color Screen Problem - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

I downgraded my O2 XDA IIs with the downgrade pack and original WM 2003 SE ROM and 1.12 radio ROM(downloaded from see02.com) from WM 2005 for changing the storage size (from 45 to 60 MB) before upgrading to WM6. The downgrade finished successfully but now the initial booting screen or 4 color screen has lost its colors ....it has become sandy ... grainy or u can say almost scrambled. But I am able to make out the the Red Color ROM info R xxx G xxx etc from the screen. Will it be fixed once I Upgrade to Win Mo 6? Or else should I do something right now to fix it? I like to add one more info. Only the four color screen is scrambled, once it enters into WM2003SE the display is proper.....

Text dotted w. green/blue after ROM update / upgrate XDA II

I updated / upgraded the ROM of my XDAII with file http://www.sourceo2.com/xda/Xda_II_172187_Final.exe from source2.com.
It all works. However, after activate ClearType (Settings > screen) the white text on Today is dotted with green and, in the programs, the black text is dotted with blue.
Whats wrong?
Bart
There are two different screens on the XDAII - one has a slightly yellow cast to it. Their lcd dots are in slightly different configurations to each other.
The cleartype program used in the platform build by O2 is optimised only for one particular sort of screen - if you have the other sort you get very uncleartype, and naturally there's no way to adjust it. Good old O2 quality control.
This has been discussed before in these forums, this fix worked for me:

Closing Down application in WM VI Black v3.5 Black Dymond

I have just changed my Hermes from Black 2.5 to WM VI Black v3.5 Black Dymond.
There used to be an option somewhere in Black 2.5 to configure the X button to close the appplication rather than sending it to the background but leaving it in memory.
Where is this setting under WM VI Black v3.5 Black Dymond ?
Has the shortcut been removed? If so does anyone know the location of the .EXE?
Thanks
Mark
wrong Forum.
What are you talking about? This section of the Hermes forum is for ALL WM6 roms whether they are originally posted here or not.
@mdavenport
You need to use the search at the bottom of my signature for htctweak or TweakUI or X-button, I think it was one of these I have flashed so many roms it all becomes a blurr! I use O2 2.3 plus which does this and you can use it on any WM5 or WM6, and any carrier.

MDAc2 - How to modify WM5

Hello Guys,
The last couple of days I was using this Forum to find out how to modify the appearance of Windows Mobile 5.0 which runs on my Charmer (I believe my MDAc2 is a charmer) and also I want to get rid of everything what's from T-Mobile on it.
This far I could remove the T-Mobile Skin of the DialPad and stoped the T-Mobile software from installing it self after the Hardreset.
What I couldn't remove is the T-Mobile Screen (I think its the Splash screen, but I am not sure) and the Windows Mobile logo screen after Softreseting my device.
But my main concern is that I want the digital clock to appear at the top right corner where the battery bar is instead (Like it was on WM2003 I think).
I tried the tweak where I modify the registry at HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Shell/BTOpt=1, 2 or 3 (DWORD)
but it just works with the "3" value which lets the clock appear along with the date, but the battery bar is still in the background, while having a window open. Once the window is closed I just can the the first two digits of the date in bold with the battery bar still in the background. It looks just messed up.
Using the "1" value, which I accually prefer, wouldn't change anything. Just the battery bar is visible.
So I hope you guys can help me.
Thanks in advance
Areadon

Text message layout

Hi, i was just wondering if there was a way of changing the look of text messages. Its all fancy when it touchflo showing the last message received, but as soon as i reply or go to all messages, its a horrible white screen and very plan. Anyone got any solutions to this? Thanks.
Hi
Consider upgrading to one of the latest Rhodium/Topaz ROMs where HTC have included this area of Windows Mobile within their customisation and done a reasonable job of hiding our very own Ugly Betty (WinMob 6.1)

the other way around is using a proggie like sktools to change system colors of winmo parts (a bit like righclicking on our win PC desktop/properties/appearance)
just changes colors anyway
Programs that change the system colours seems like a great idea until you start doing it, i too hate the boring messaging colours, i wanted white letters on a black background, but although u can easily change them u soon realise its not workable, changing "window background colour" to black also changes signal bars to black, & it also changes internet pages such as facebook to black, but when u then change text colour to white for messaging it leaves web pages with black type on black ! & notification text would also be black on black, you end up trying different combinations for ages then reverting to standard.
yup thats the crap of it
like in pc windows anyway

Lock Screen Graphics

Hi,
does anyone know the location and name of the graphic used for the lock screen background. The percentage of iphone users is very high in the design office and I'm the only wm user.
I have a lovely anti apple graphic (umbunto supplied) and would like it as a screen saver but as i cant fond a way to do that the lock screen would be the next best thing.
Cheers.

Hi,
which lockscreen do you mean?
WM6.5 Lockscreen?
Or any other Programm like S2U2?
WM 6.5 uses the windows background screens as background can change them by overwriting:
\windows\stwater_480_800.jpg (for Portrait)
\windows\stwater_800_480.jpg (for Landscape)
(perhaps need to restart after)
S2U2 (which you shouldn't use as antiapple user ;-) )
-> can find in S2U2 Settings
greets
Using std UK rom.
The screen I refer to is the one that you use to unlock the device. Not the default background.
I cant upload pics from work but the screen is graduated light gray to white (at the bottom) with an unlock button middle right, and the text To unlock the device, tap "unlock"
Cheers
Arron
You mean the unlock screen.I'm trying to find the file too.I like to change it.Anyone knows where the image file is located in wm6.1?
Long time since I flashed away from 6.1, but I believe you can change the wallpaper (for 6.1, the unlock screen but not TF3D) by going to settings>Today and ticking the box next to 'Use this picture as the background' and browsing to your pic.
