Rubber plugs - HTC Excalibur

Hi,
I just got my phone off ebay (it was listed as a HTC S620 Dash) and I know the S620 and Tmobile Dash are different phones based on the same thing. I just registered the product on HTC's website and it lists the phone as a HTC S621.
I know in Canada Rogers Wireless has a HTC S621, but this phone came from the states. Unfortunately it never came with a instruction manual/CD or anything like that so I'm at a loss of what it is.
One thing is that it did not come with the rubber plugs at the back and I was wondering if anyone has some extra ones kicking around?

What's the difference? (HTC / O2 / T-mobile)

Ok, so I know the obvious differences in that the O2 & T-mobile require you to sign up to contract and dump a load of their own branded software on the phone, but is that all there is when it comes down to it?
I used the Vario 2 for ages but jacked it in a few months back because I got fed up with it's clunkiness. Only now I need something to take it's place. Obviously I'm posting here so I'm looking at the HTC P3300 (or a contract one). Problem is I've still got 4-months left on my curent contract so I have to buy off-contract so to speak.
So back to the original question, given the HTC P3300 is roughly £100 more to buy compared to T-mobile / O2 realeases (roughly £200 on Eay) which is the better option? Frankly, I'm tempted to stump up the extra because I thought the Vario 2 I had previously was pretty dam slow with all the T-mobile stuff on it but then I'm as well versed in the ins and outs as some of you guys are so what do ya think?
T-Mobile has no WLAN.
And at least for HTC there are two packages, one with TomTom + Maps for Western Europe, car holder & charger and one without.
I believe O2 Germany had the big package, but I'm not sure.

No wifi? I hadn't realised that! Seems a bit like a no brainer then
Actually, come to think of it, I am correct in my understanding that I can just plug my T-Mobile sim into this and as long as I configure appropiately I should be able to get it to work?
if you use a non-simlocked device this is correct.
There is the question of styling, which is of course personal. However, I think the Orbit is much prettier which is why I got one. Everyone to their own, tho'

Yes, this is true and I agree but then I think I'd feel a bit of a twit using the O2 model on a T-mobile contract
O2UK ones are unlocked.
You could buy it from eBay or get it on contract from O2, CID unlock it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308242) and then flash any ROM you wanted from the collection on this site or elsewhere.

Run AT&T tilt as HTC tytn 2

Hi.
I recently bought a AT&T tilt unlocked.
My problem is that the HTC 8925 from AT&T is not availble in Australia.
Only the HTC Tytn 2 is available over here. The HTC 8925 does not have all
the settings and tabs needed for the set up to work with the Australian 3G
network.
My service provider is useless because they only have the set ups for HTC
tytn 2 and HTC australia will not help me because its a problem i have
with AT&T so i should take it up with them, that is impossible to do since
there is no AT&T help lines in australia.
Ive used a HTC tytn 2 over here and its a dream, i was wondering is there
any way to remove ALL AT&T influences in the HTC 8925 and set it to run
exactly the same as a HTC tytn 2. If i can do that the settings for
configuring my HTC 8925 should be available and i can have my service
provider do that for me.
Right now all i can do is use the HTC 8925 as a normal phone without
internet connections which kinda makes it feel redundant.
i know essentially the HTC 8925 is in many way the Tytn 2. But in Australia its simple as this, 1 works and the other doesnt.
Wiki, Wiki, Wiki............ Flash with a new ROM................
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Kaiser_Cooked_ROMs
Austrailian 3G settings for most Service Providers.
Hope that helps. Good Luck.
thanks.
i thought i would need to flash it, i just dont know how to do it and im worried i might brick the phone.
any suggestion on an 'ideal' rom?
i got it all to work fine n dandy now.
thanks mate.
Want to flash my HTC 8925 Tilt.
I have a similar problem in Jamaica and everyone I call is hopeless.
I've just received the unlock code from AT&T, but only AFTER the Unlock shops Jamaica unlocked the fone for calls only and not for data, and I so desparately want to use the internet on a Digicel Network.
I'm seem to be bashing my head against a brick wall as no one really knows what I'm talikng about.
ANY HELP ASAP?
Thx Karen

Microsoft Branded HTC S621 ?

Anyone know any info why this S621 has a microsoft symbol not a HTC one, just i've had a few S621 and i've never see a pic of the phone with the same microsoft icon on the phone, Thanks.
I have one just like that, it's an EXCA100 and shows up as a S621 on the PC.
I don't really know the origin of the phone since I got it off ebay. I bought it for $26 because no one searched for EXCA100

Nice.. mines made in tiwan not china how about you.. and that 50 dollar one on ebay is most likly a scam or the phones messed up, this phones bomb tho my tiwan overclocks from the built in omap overclocker too 288 very stable.
Im not sure how to i tell where its made.. ive heard talk of it for the overclocking stuff. or the guy on ebay doesn't know hes giving up such a gratw phone! :^)
The only problem the $26 Dash I got was that it was password locked. Besides that everything else works like a charm, the battery lasts a little over 2 days.
you can see where its made under the battery will say china or tiwan, u want tiwan, china one is cheap

can i use my att sim on tmobile tp2

hey everybody , i was wondering if i could Buy the tm tp2 and use my att sim since att screwd up the keyboard and i will buy a protective case for it too. i would rather have a so so looking brown keyboard than that piece of garbage from att
The immediate answer is no. Not until they come up with an unlocker for it.
even if you can, you wouldn't be 3g..T-Mobile unit uses different freq.
