I've signed up for the beta, but they haven't distributed it to me, yet.
Anyone using it?
I think he means that he does not live in the US and wants to know if anyone can, crack unlock etc.. so he can use it in a foreign country.
Yeah, i think he's just wondering if anyone has it yet, or has a cab for it. I signed up a couple weeks ago, maybe they are just seeing how many people are interested in it.
signed
I signed up for it it looks very good. hopefully they can deliver.
arre can any1 gimme the .cab or .exe! we cant download as i dont live in the US!
cab alone wont work
They validate registered participants of the beta via the phone number. Unfortunately, the Skyfire browser application alone doesn't seem to work. As I understand it the Skyfire application relies on the Skyfire service that sits between the client (Skyfire browser) and the server (the website you're trying to reach). The Skyfire service is simply a proxy that renders the requested website before delivering it to your phone. Hope this helps everyone.
Oh, btw, this is a marvelous forum.
I noticed that the site, as well as having forums and a wiki, has its own FTP server that's open to users. Just in case people didn't know, it might be a good way to get useful, free software to users without using rapidshare and services like that.
If there's a historical reason why people don't use it, I wouldn't mind knowing that too.

you talk about it now act apon it give us the FTP IP address.
It's in the wiki. There's not much in the Excalibur directory right now. That's why I asked.
Edit: Did some homework on the FTP site. It seems someone totaled it back in '06 and it hasn't been the same since. The Kaiser guys use it more than anyone else, but the way it's set up, uploaders send files to an upload section and a moderator moves the approved files into the available-for-download section. From this perspective, I guess things like rapidshare and mediafire would be better options for people getting software out. It's just not always so obvious which characters have the damned cat on them.
Great stuff so far on there, you guys rock!

On the other hand you can pm myself, lukybandit or mikey1022 the rapidshare link and one of us will "take one for the team" and deal with the kitty cats for the purpose of putting it on the ftp.... or course only as long as the upload is necessary
I was just thinking it would save hunting through threads or asking "can you give me a link to that file?" or "that link's expired" or "rapidshare says my max has been reached for free users" etc. etc.
In this way, just like most of the pertinent information is"check the wiki," finding the right file in a hurry would be "check out the ftp site!"
But yeah, it's a little more work for all parties involved just to have everything in one, easy-to-find place.
EDIT: The link for the download section is ftp://xda:[email protected]/smartphones/Excalibur
The login/password given for the upload section (xdaupload:xda) doesn't seem to be working.
I was thinking along the lines of supporting the FTP site awhile back when I discovered the Wiki. Seems like it would be a more logical way to store Excaliber files. I had major problems trying to upload and finally gave up. Maybe your thread will get the FTP going.
Hello. Anyone know torrent program that can do passworded trackers?
Adisastas wmtorrent cant do those and its been on "to do" list for year or so.
Doesnt matter is it free.
I have been looking for one long time but havent found any.
Nothing illegal in this so dont blame me, I am looking for own use because me and my friends are using torrents to share stuff faster and easily. Since Blackstone has big microsdhc cards it would be really usefull.
woo this is 100th post
helloo anyone? torrent programs shouldnt be so hard to make even, so I wonder why there arent any other proper than Adisasta.
Which doesnt get updated even when they say so in forums. "in time" well damn no updates for 1½year or so.
no one? damn, S60 has them but WinMo doesnt.
Too bad I dont know how to make mobile programs this would be good project.

Hi people.
aThe ability to have access to all those retro games, which I by the way often enjoy more than recent games as they mostly are nothing but eyecandy, was an important point for me to get an Android device.
At the moment I am kind of pissed. I just searched for SNESoid and couldnt find it in the Market. Did it get pulled?
Is there some other way than the market to get this app?
Apparently i failed to give this thread a title. Sorry about this, its my first one.

You can edit the title
Anyways ..
There is Snes9x EX or sega Genesis ...both give you the retro games ......
yes Snesoid (and the dev and all his software )got pulled becouse SEGA was *****ing
Thanks for the Info.
By now I found out, that the developers account in the market was deleted.
For now he posted all his emulators in another appstore, (am not able to post the URL, but just google for "SlideMe") , for now they are even all free. I think its a shame that Google pulled his apps, as they were a real plus for the android platform giving you access to a LOT of "real" games.
BTW: I still cant figure out how to change this threads title...
Found that SOE has a section on android market, but says its not available for my carriers in USA.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.sony.playstation.NCUA94608_0&hl=en
Found a few more listed, not many comments on them, so Ill assume its not really known. Anyone have info about these? Thanks.
Edit: Well seems verizon and so just are screwed, anyone manage with CM7 to get around this and get the playstation pocket going?
