You're probably better off asking your question in the forum that was made for your phone. Here is the link:

See if anyone there can help you as that forum is made for people with the Wallaby type phone (also known as T-Mobile MDA).

WM6 upgrade for v1605

Hi guys, great forum. I have a v1605 on contract with Vodafone UK and I am told that it belongs to Hermes / TyTn family from HTC.
I wanted to know if there was a WM6 upgrade for this model as the guys at HTC Europe were not ready to talk about any network centric phones though their own upgrade is coming around end-July.
Actually I wanted to upgrade my handset to the successor of TyTn which I believe is Kaiser, but nobody at Vodafone is ready to talk about it.
Any help in this area will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi by any chance did you manage to local and install WM6 on your V1605 as I'm trying to find a ROM upgrade of WM6 but no luck. Can any help me with this...?

I'm so confused...

Hi,
I wondered if anyone could clear up my problem...
I have read a lot of threads on different forums about WM6. There's very little information about WM6 upgrades with the PDA I have - the O2 XDA Mini S.
I'm looking to upgrade to WM6, and cannot find any way to do so. I've found T-Mobile offering an upgrade service to their customers, but not O2.
I'm not after any kind of cracked, illegal copy, I just want to know if O2 offer the same service?
Is it that it hasn't been released for this PDA model? Or the service is just not available?
I just want a way to get it! lol
Please help me out!
Thanks

There is no official WM6 out there for your device (HTC Wizard) not from T-Mo, nor from O2, nor from any other operator; so if you don't want to experiment with cooked/leaked roms, you are unfortunatelly out of luck.

Thanks T-Mobile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your Email.
Unfortunately T_mobile will not be releasing any Windows Mobile 6 updates / upgrades, T-Mobile have released the following statement:
T-Mobile UK will be including Windows Mobile 6 on all new MDA devices that are launched starting with the MDA Touch (launched 11/07/07) and MDA Vario III in September.
The existing devices in the MDA portfolio will continue to use Windows Mobile 5 and there will be no software upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 for these devices.
T-Mobile have decided that bringing in new MDA devices that make best use of the features of Windows Mobile 6 is a better use of our resources than rolling it out on existing devices that work perfectly well with Windows Mobile 5.
You should therefore be seeing more new and exciting MDA products later in 2007 and in 2008.
I am sorry if this is not the information that you were looking for.
Best regards,

In other words Tough luck if you allready bought your device, You ain't gonna get WM6 from us best you use someone else's like O2's and customize it for yourself then
Shall we start a patition and bombard TMO with e-mails to customer service untill we get a better responce?
Why would you want to install a T-Mobile Rom when there are far better roms for download here?
its more the thing that they said they would do it, and now they wont.
so they will never give support on it, while almost everybody has already changed.
but screw them... i don't even want to use T-mobiles stuffed with pink **** rom
yeh but it would be nice to have a genuine backup for when you can only get to bootloader mode, and if you gotta send your phone back, or sell it
yea true say

Isn't this file, art_tmouk_11311001_024990_wwe_ship.exe, not an official T-Mobile UK file then?
I cannot test it myself because my MDAcIII is the Dutch version. I don't know also about the situation in the UK but here in Holland T-Mobile is not (yet) given users a hard time when they returned their phones for a reflash after having it bricked when trying to upgrade to WM6 (I'm talking about the pre-USPL period now). Often enough T-Mobile does it even without charging anything.

Besides, I suggest not to go back to WM5 when you want to sell the phone. It even might be an extra sellingpoint when it runs on WM6.
