hi, i been searching through this forum for hours and i cant find the solution. i use to send and receive email normally from my wireless home network but 2 days ago i cant send emails anymore. when i click send/receive it goes to connecting -> loggin in -> receiving header -> disconnecting then it says "the message could not be sent. check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. then try sending again." then it says error synchronizing. but the weird thing is that i can send emails when im connected to my school wireless internet network. when i get home i cant send email and i gives me the same error. the only solution i can think of is reflashing my phone. can someone please help...
addition info: im using Schap's WM6 Pro 3.60a and the email im using is yahoo mail and using tmobile
any1???????????
Soft-reset?
I had a problem synchronizing to my desktop a couple days ago. Usually when I get something strange, I do a soft reset and it starts working. Stop back if you tried that.

Hi all,
I have LVSW WM6 and I can create NEW email and send it using Pocket Outlook. However, if I want to send an email via "reply", I kept on getting a message that says:
The message could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that you account information is correct. Then try sending again.
I have good 3G coverage and can browse the Internet via PIE or Netfront. I have enabled POP in my GMail account.
Is there a particular POP setting that I must configure in WM6 for sending replied email via GMail?
Kinda funny, i had no problem until a couple days ago, with my gmail accounts, to send messages. Not exactly same problem, but the message is the same. My WM6 is Black 2.5.

Couple days ago? Did you made any changes to the device before this happened?
I wonder if this is caused by GMail and have nothing to do with WM6...

I had the same problem, and the solution i found is the following:
When you press the reply button you find: "Edit the sender's message" underlined.
click on it and the original sender's message will open fully
Now you can write your reply and send it well
Thanks a lot pasil.pt it seems to be the solution!!!
I had very same issue. Using gmail on Treo800/winmo 6.1, I get a message that refuses to send. Once stuck in outbox, nothing will send unless I remove it. Every time this happened I saved the offensive msg and now I have 7 of them. When I retry send any, each one fails. These are the facts for my case:
1) It happens on some messages.
2) Happens when replying or forwarding.
3) If I delete the content, the msg sends fine. At least, I can rule out problems with msg properties and header.
One thing I noticed when comparing native PO to FlexMail, is FM defaults to indenting the original msg using '>' character. PO does not. Since FM can send all these 7 msgs fine, I thought this should be good start to investigate.
So I grabbed one of the bad msgs and I indented it manually line by line and to my surprise, It sent successfully. I repeated this with each of the 7 msgs and all sent just fine.
PO does not have a UI control to toggle the 'indentbody' and 'indent character' features, but I did see there are some registry keys related. However, I could not get these keys to work.
HKCU/sofware/microsoft/inbox/settings
--> AddLeading
--> IndentBody
--> LeadChar
I can not get my changes to stick and not sure how to enter a 'dword' value for the above.
Can someone please help me find out...
- steps in changing above values and make them effective
- how to enable body indenting, make e.g. '>' the leading char using dword values.
I could not find a tweak tool to do this as well.
Any assistance will be highly appreciated.
Same issue. Very frustrating. After reading last, i tried deleting the original text (below but not including the header) and the message sent fine.
Hi,
First of all, I am terribly sorry if this has been answered previously by anyone. I have read through a ton of articles on different boards unsuccessfully trying to find the solution.
I am running the AX3L_WM6_WWE_v2.0.8.1 release on my trinity and after two days use I am very happy with it. However there is one problem that is getting on my nerves. MMS.
Whenever I want to send an MMS i get a warning saying:
"In order to send/download MM messages, the current active connection may be closed (this may affect other applications in use). Do you want to continue ?
This message keeps appearing and appearing untill I select menu -> yes.
The same thing happens whenevers someone tries to send me an MMS.
So I can both send and recieve, but this warning message is killing me..
In my MMS settings messages are set to automatically download.
I cant really understand the warning cause the phone automatically shifts between different connections when shifting from wap to tv-streamiing for instance.
So, does anyone know how to end this misery?
Kind Regards
Tommy
I can also add that the stupid warning keeps popping up whenever i open any messaging account (work, gmail, sms, mms) regardless if I have any MMS in the outbox or any inbound mms.
For example: I recieve an sms and click on the link to open up messaging to read it and perhaps reply, immediately I get the stupid MMS message.

change the setting to use the internet connection in your MMS I had that problem and it's great now..
Hope this help
Okay, I think I know what you mean, however it did not work, this is what i did:
MY ISP connection is a direct connection to the internet with an APN (internet.ventelo.no) and no password / user or any other setting, works great for web and every other program that requires the internet.
Under Connections - Advanced - Select Networks I have created an mms account with another apn (mms.ventelo.no) and added Ventelo's username and password for mms. This is the account that is linked to in the messaging settings.
I then went in to the messaging settings / servers and changed the "Connect Via" to "My ISP" (internet.ventelo.no) instead of using the mms account descrived above.
The result is that I cannot send or receive MMS anymore, and probably because the APN for internet-traffic and mms-traffic are different.
Any other suggestions ?
I use the same rom as you and I'm experiencing the same problem with that annoying mms pop-up...
I'm still investigating how to avoid that... For me it only happens when I connect to my PC through Activesync.
Have you discovered a solution yet?
Regards,
Rayan

1. verizon.net
2. yahoo.com
3. new t-mo.blackberry.com

when i look at tstatus, under service "not connected" sometime it will connect but quickly disconnect.
also, BB desktop will not start when i connect my dash. (ver 4.3)
has anyone got this working??? HOW????!!! please help!
I am using push mail (mail2web) and it works great, but
as our MMS and SMS service cost exactly the same I tend to
send/receive mostly MMS'.
Problem is that every time I want to send or receive an MMS, a
popup informs me that the current internet connection needs to be
closed before the MMS connection can be made. I then have to open this
message and choose 'yes' to continue. Now this is getting very annoying
if you receive a lot of messages a day and you have to 'Manually' confirm
each one. After sending/receiving the MMS connection is automatically closed
and my 'internet' connection is automatically started again.
So my question is are there a way to remove the popup message.
After sending/receiving the 'MMS' conn. is closed and the 'internet' conn. starts up just fine without any input from me,so I only want the phone to automatically kill the 'internet' conn. without the "Please press 'yes' or 'no'" message.
Thanx...

Thanx, but no.

Thanx, but the problem is not that simple. Other then the fact that it does not
work that way (for MY serv.prov.), even if I could do it,
I DON'T WANT to, because:
Data received through 'mms.conn.' is FREE, <------------------------- (important)
Data received through 'internet.conn.' is NOT FREE.
I already pay my service provider for using the MMS service and as I get
a LOT of MMS msgs. (mostly photos) every day, I am just not willing to
waste my hard earned cash that way.( ie: Paying DOUBLE for the same service. )

Guys, guys, GUYZZZ...
I know that most of you are (just like me) NOT very good with the English language, but DAMMIT, how difficult can it be to understand a SIMPLE question like this???
I receive a HUGE amount of MMS's every day.
...... RECEIVING MMS on the 'MMS.CONN' is FREE.........
...... RECEIVING MMS on the 'INTERNET.CONN' is NOT FREE.........
I ONLY want to get rid of the pop-up that asks for confirmation to kill
the 'internet.conn' and noth..... Aaaaagh, JUST LEAVE IT...
PS:
Sorry to everyone, I am not in the best of moods today... This is a great forum and I am grateful for all replies...
Maybe try looking into mortscript, I think it can do those kinda things! Never used it myself though.
Thanx veyka, now THIS is more the type of answer I expect on xda-...

I am not very comfortable with the the great 'MortScript' yet AND
I am absolutely sure this confirmation pop-up can be killed with a simple
'Reg-hack', but I can't find it.
If anyone wants to help me out, but you need a better discription or
something, a screenshot maybe, please join in. I am sure I am not
the only person using MMS.
Thanx.
Post up a piccy and ill have a nosey around for more info..

Here you go...
Only Before Sending/Receiving MMS = Pop-Up (Yes/No)
After MMS has been sent/received the 'mms.conn' disconnects AUTOMATICALLY,
then my 'internet.conn' again connects AUTOMATICALLY and my
push mail (mail2web) syncs. and everything works fine, until I get
the next MMS.
Im looking into it..
Maybe try turning off the "display message on screen" in sounds and notifications, for the two connection ones..
Ill keep hunting
Edit: Maybe you didn't quite understand what zocster and mrvanx where suggesting.. that is, set your push email to use the MMS connection as well..
Hmm... I understand the simple question, i think it's unavoidable since MMS access point and GPRS/Interneet access point is always different for all operator. And the PDA is set to warn you whenever it switch accesspoint, to avoid unconfirmed dropped connection.
For now 2 options i can see:
1. Suppress the notifications automatically to not bother you (mortscript can do this i think, never tried though)
2. Shorthen the "window of conflict" time period. Maybe by prolong your pushmail checking schedules, so it will not too real-time

Yes, you definitely understand the question.
Your option 1. is exactly what I am looking for, to suppress the
notification for switching of 'internet con.' access point automatically.
As I said before, the 'MMS con.' closes itself automatically after
sending/receiving, after that the 'internet con.' connects again
automatically.
Because the 'MMS con.' closes itself automatically, I was hoping
to find a reg.key to disable this confirmation for closing 'internet con.' only.
EDIT: Sorry, double post.
(Slow internet connection and a happy trigger-finger)
Hi DexterH,
have you found a solution? I have exactly the same problem. Since the connection to the internet APN is up, it asks me for the MMS connection. When I miss this notification, I miss the mms.
Please post your solution if you found one...
Does anyone have this for the T-Mobile Dash?
i can really use it as well please

Haha they could use my sig to go to the t-mobile site and have their connections setup... it takes literally like 5 minutes to do... and it is step by step instructions...
And for all you the link is called "T-MOBILE FIX ANY MMS ISSUES (SENDING OR RECEIVING), FIX INTERNET PROBLEMS, E-MAIL, ETC. CLICK HERE"
cant someone just make a T-MOBILE FIX ANY MMS ISSUES (SENDING OR RECEIVING), FIX INTERNET PROBLEMS, E-MAIL, ETC. CLICK HERE.cab
But i'm using NRGZ's Lite ROM and it does not have connection setup.cab and it doesn't have what your guide ask for. I don't have advanced at the GPRS step.
T-mobile fix any mms issues (sending or receiving)
Could it be that because i'm using Ricky & Stylez Rose rom V1.7 ? Because I reset my phone last night and redid everything(again),then sent an mms to myself and to my wife and it showed that it was sending but we never got the mms. I know that sometimes it takes a while but 20 hrs. seems a little to long. If anyone knows of anything i'm doing wrong please let me know. I've tryed every post i've seen up to this point and none have worked. Thanx in advance.
first off, I have just used the "connection setup" on the girlfriends Dash and hers works fine- not to say it will definitely work for everyone but worked for me...multiple times in the past and recently.
the one thing that doesn't work...ever...is the send/receive button. It always ends in "error synchronizing" -If that is what is failing it is normal. Just send a test pic, and then try to get someone to send you one. Make sure they are on Tmobile to get a speedy transaction- I have had MMS to other carriers take a few hours before.

Oh yah sometimes they do take a long time for real.
MMS-Error Syncing
I am using the vanilla V24 rom on my T-Mobile Dash and have manually setup all the settings that I could find regarding ToMo WEB, T-Mo Zone, T-Mo VNC, and T-Mo MMS. I have successfully sent and receiving SMS. But MMS does not work. I receive Error Syncing everytime and have waited for over 3 days to receive. I can not offer any solutions, But can offer an alternative. If you have the T-Mobile Total Internet Package, you can setup an email account, i.e. gmail and use that.
mms problem solved
The cure was easier than i thought. Went to t-mo web site and loaded 6.o. No more issues with picture messaging, web or anything else for that matter.
