i'm just wondering if i'm the only one. i have two email accounts, one gmail and one aol. i've set them both up and can send/receive messages just fine except when it comes to attachments. seems like gmail won't let me download most attachments. sometimes rar files will work but it will always hang downloading any other attachments. aol mail won't receive anything except images and .cab files. it automatically rips the rar and other attachments from my messages. i'm on AT&T in FL. anyone else experience these issues?

Hello, I have a TP2 with TMo US and i have a wired issue with getting email file attachments to display or open. I can get pdf files and open them but most of the times I cannot get microsoft office files (word, PPT or exel).
I do see that the email file size contains an attachment but when outlook downloads the file nothing shows up as an attachment. Again the strange thing is that I have no problems with pdf files...
Anyone has a clue on this?
Thanks
Has anyone else encountered this?
I use youmail to email my voicemail messages to me via mp3, but for some reason, I get the emails with no attachment. If I open up the email on my desktop, the attachment is there. What gives?
Not sure, but have you set your messaging to download the entire message, not just headers or first 50K or something?
unable to dl attachments from my yahoo account via the mail app, it says attachement missing would you like to download, i say yes the timer spins a bit then puts an ! on the icon, if i click it again it says same thing attachment missing i tried on wifi and 3g anyone know what the prob is ??
Hi, sorry to jump on your bandwagon but I have a similar problem.
Have one pop3 account and a hotmail account configured and when I go to download the whole message, including attachments, I can't see or save any attachments. Just get a white mail with not much else apart from the text.
Is there a tick in a box Ive missed?
Cheers
Another bandwagon jumper here...
I find I can receive certain kinds of attachments. PDFs are no problem, but I receive daily reports compressed as tar.gz files and mail offers to download them but doesn't - just as you described above.
Does anyone else see this?
I've tried a couple of different ways, but I cannot get Live email to send a file attachment. I set it up with the auto configure and it works fine until I try to attach a picture. Tried it from the galary and share. Tried from email and add attachment. Neither way will work. The email will try to send then says sending failed. Go into outbox folder and manually select send outgoing messages and it fails there as well. Emails send fine from Yahoo with attachments so I'm guessing this is a Live email problem. Smaller attachments and regular emails send just fine. Any ideas would be appeciated. I have removed and setup the account multiple times. Thanks.

I have like 50 folders in my email. I browse to them and when I open an email that's filed, it does not so any of the body or the attachments. The data is there. I can see on my iPad. Any ideas??
