3 on O2 Orbit

Hi, does anyone know of any software that will allow me to use a '3' network sim in my O2 Orbit?
Is this possible?
No not possible, you need a 3g phone.
3G SIM in Orbit
I am using an o2 3g SIM in my Orbit. It functions as a standard SIM only of course since the Orbit is not a 3G phone.
Yes but the question is a reference to the network provider '3' although they have a fall-back system where you use 2.5G I believe.

No GSM/GPRS connection, only 3G/UMTS

Hi there,
since the last two ROM/Radio upgrades my trion fails to connect to GSM/GPRS. The 3G/UMTS/HSDPA connection works fine, both for voice and internet. When I try to switch to GSM only or if no 3G is available the device fails to connect. When I use the same SIM in another trion (with the original ROM) everything works fine (GSM & 3G).
This behaviour persists since I upgraded the Radio to 1.54.30.10 and Schaps 4.01, before that I had 1.41 and Schaps 3.3 working fine. Now I downgraded the Radio to 1.47.30.10 and installed Pays ROM (PaysGER215Full.rar). Same result, no GSM connection.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
sroeder
Hello.
Check Under , Settings , Phone, Band That
"GSM/UTMS Band" if that Say " AUTO " And not
UTMS (2100+800) .
If that don't help, than i'm clueless.
And yes, If you don't have the "band page" use Schaps Advanced Configuration tool to Enable the "Band page".

The settings were already on AUTO on all fields.
I actually got today a substitute phone after talking to the service staff. The phone simply would not connect to gprs/gsm anymore, even not after installing the original operators ROM. They said it might be a hardware issue.
I have the same problem.. I'm using HTC Hermes and suddenly I've lost GSM connection, only 3G available.. If I set GSM only there is an alert "No service". Is there any solution? I did HR - still nothing..

T-Mobile UK Internet Settings for Vario II needed!

Could you please help me.
My Vario II was upgraded to WM6 by a friend of mine, but my T-Mobile UK internet settings were lost. Could someone please help me how to set the internet (3G) up again!!! Im on the Web'n'Walk contract.
Also... in the WM6 there is now Hdpsa with 3G, are those the same thing.
Thanks for help..!! Could not find any posts about this in the 'search this forum'.
Look in the Wiki:Carrier Settings Cabs
This one worked for me.
Improved my INternet connection speed also.
Hope this saves the search.

Hermes Searching Cellular Network frequently

I have Imate JasJam with WM 6.5 ROM, Radio version 1.48.00.10. Im using 2 SIM cards from Different providers in same location.
Provider 1 SIM works perfect with no issues
Provider 2 SIM always searching for network. It is set to Automatic. Every few seconds it starts searching.
Provider 2 SIM i used in Imate Jam works perfect.
Is there any problem with Radio?
Anyone can help me?
You need to try all the radios
to see what fits to your problem.... maybe one of those helps you just see the wiki pages for hermes... there you will found your answer.

How to re-enable GPRS for HTC Twin1000 (T5399)?

Hi, guys,
I got a HTC T5399 which is said to be Twin 10000, this dual mode phone is on the China market, customized for China Telecom CDMA2000 network, although it also supports WCDMA at the same time according to its brochure.
My problem is that GPRS functionality is disabled deliberately by the manufacturer when I want to use it under WCDMA network with my UK O2 sim card. Of course the voice calls are fine under WCDMA as it's supposed to. When I attempted to establish a new Internet connection, the options of line types are only three types: cellular line, bluetooth and Hayes modem on com port, there is no option of GPRS cellular line available as normal WCDMA 3G phones do. I tried to set up the connection with cellular line anyway but failed to connect to the network.
After googling on the Internet without any progress, I finally have to come here for help, as this website is for the best WM experts in the world. If I can not get it solved with your guys help, I don't think it's possible to sort it out anywhere else.
Thank you very much in advance for your kind support!
Sorry, forgot to let you know, the above device OS is WM6.5, details are
Windows CE 5.2.21869 (Internal version 21869.5.0.82)
Desperately awaiting feedback.....
no solution???
sadly, no one knows?
