Question about ATT US Mobile 6 Update??? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

If I go on the the htc.america.com website and download the mobile 6 update ROM does it come with the Radio? I ask because I need to set my phone back to default. If it doesn't include the radio, can some tell me which radio is used with default settings.

HTC America doesn't have WM6 available for download and won't for the 8525. It's WM5. But it does include the radio.

I was halfway joking... J0KER. The question has been asked about a hundred times (at least) already.
There is no "official" WM6 upgrade currently available on HTC America's website. It is scheduled to be released sometime later this year.
By the way, the link you gave is for the HTC TyTN, not the AT&T 8525, as was requested.
Nice first post.
Better luck next time.

Who said ATT would update the rom?
They would not make any money off of it so they have no desire to do that.

Can I put this on my Tmobile dash??
yes, but it is more work to remap keys than using the Rogers rom that is already correct, less ugly, and just as fast
There are lots of posts regarding how to update the ROM, so I wont go into that. Search for USPL CID Unlock

Does not seem to work just yet, but whwn it does everyone should be able to download the latest ROMs.

I dont think it works with any of the branded htc diamonds like orange or vodafone,as you cant register the serial number. It will only wor for sim free handsets

Do you happen to know why they dont let you register a branded handset, considering how many people get theyre phones on contract.

I think its because branded handsets are seen to be paid for by the network or subsidised so its the networks responsibility to make updates available.
We all know this is, to put it politely, complete pants, and it should be as easy as going onto HTC's website and then choosing your mobile type and then having the option of which network you have, along with the location.
just downloaded the latest ROM from the link in the first post... just had to put the serial number in (from under the battery).
cheers,
Vodafone users do not seem to able to register on the HTC web site, I have sent an email to HTC, but not yet had any replies. Does any one know, where or how to download the latest ROM upgrade?

End of (official) HTC ROM support for the Diamond?

hi guys,
do you think we'll see any more official ROMs from HTC? The latest I know of, are the 1.93.xxx series. It seems they are working on the odd radio update (probably to try and stop unlocking?)
I recall they gave up with the Trinity after about 10 minutes. Thanks god for the cookers...
I'm very unimpressed with the performance of TF in general. If it was a bit snappier I'd be a lot happier.....Then again maybe WM6 is part of the problem - I don't know.
Love the handset and the screen.....
Well.. HTC have just released version 1.96.710.3 on the Asia web site for the Diamond for the Australian Optus and Vodaphone carriers. Won't flash onto the Telstra model - gives an Invalid Model ID error.
I believe this can be fixed however.
Perhaps someone would care to flash it and check to see what has been updated?
Link please??

[Q] How to get the HTC ROMs

Afternoon All
A little while back I puchased a Vodafone branded Touch Pro 2 from eBay, I have been using this with my O2 sim, all is well.
I would however like to upgrade to the 6.5 ROM, looking at HTC's website I can see a Vodafone ROM, which I can, and have downloaded. While looking at the ROMs I noticed there is an HTC unbranded ROM and a even newer ROM with the HTC Sense Interface, however because they know mine is a Vodafone handset I can't download these.
Anyone know how I can get hold of these?
Thanks
Tom

But I've tried to download it, and as a 'free' user it kept bumping the wait time. So I gave up.

Thanks,
That provides the standard 6.5 unbadged version. Don't suppose anyone knows where you can get the Sense Interface ROM?

That's an earlier version than the shipping ROM for those phones, isn't it ? The PC10IMG.zip file was posted here some weeks ago.

guess so, that's the newest version I have seen so far on the Internet.
But I did root, S-Off and flashed Overclock modules before doing a system backup.
don't know that if I dump my ROM , will it still be same as the original

Speaking of, I need the 1.34.707.5 RUU that came with my phone. This version is kinda sluggish. Slower than my desire. wish i didn't try to hack it without a ruu to fall back on.

Might be worth asking HTC for one ? I don't see why they shouldn't give it to you. No harm in trying, anyway.

I'm pretty sure that's where all the RUUs originate from. Maybe tell them your phone was acting kinda weird and you tried a "return to stock" but that wouldn't work, so you want to try flashing the ROM again to see if that helps rather than sending it back ?
You can open a support call via email on their website. You have to supply a serial number, so they probably won't ask too many questions and might even just give you an RUU.
Work asking, anyway ? Maybe someone else can think of a better story, that was just off the top of my head.
I'm ****ed. Of course I didnt tell them I flashed an older ruu rom.Their reply is:

I have got an idea. Tell them you are running a old version(you get this phone from your friend, and you didn't know where it's from), like 1.34.4xx.x
and ask for 1.34.708.5 or newer
see how they reply
edit: I have post HK 1.34.708.3, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=860430
hope we can get 1.34.708.5 or newer
sorry i'm just curious if you're able to flash this over to the g2? trying to find a chinese UI for the g2
