MS Notes not working? Suggestions? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

Hi Guys
Just wondering whether anyone knows of a reg hack or cab patch to enable Notes to work under Black Satin LE? JJ mentioned thats still a bug but nobody seems to have come up with a workaround for it yet
Does anyone have the cab alone to sync with the Notes on my exchange box?
If not suggestions on a good replacement that will sync with MS Exchange Notes?
TIA

SMS Inbox...

Hi,
using PPC2003, I am having trouble connecting to the inbox using .net compact framework. I need to monitor incoming sms messages from within my code. MS have 'retired' the old api's and implemented some new cemapi stuff which I am yet to see work in .net. can anyone shed some light on this ??
TIA
Paul.

Lotus Notes

I feel before I start that this is a daft question but here goes.
Where I work they have a requirement to take a notes database with them on the road and are wondering if they can run Lotus Notes on a XDA Pro / Qtek 9000. I for one dont think it will work specially as the database they want to access is 1Gb or there abouts.
But thought I'd ask you guys anyway as you all seem so clever ;o)

Hi,
Sybase makes a tool for PPC which is Lotus Notes portable. It has a mail file, and the ability to send, receive and file mail. It is not free, and I am still looking for a free option.
Microsofts Outlook 2003 Lotus Notes adaptor is useless because it doesn't work for me.
Try the sybase Lotus notes program.
Cheers.
The answer: mnotes and mform
Hi,
Check out mNotes and mForm from Commontimes. I use mnotes for a long time, and it is the most stable replicator for Notes mail db-s. You can replicate other databases as well, check out their website. Their customer support is excellent, and they support the latest Notes versions.
I hope you find this useful !

Messenger

Hy i just installed WM6 for Hermes LVSW Edition (2007-03-13)
(WM6 Pro Style)
This version works great on my hermes.
But there is no Msn Messenger in this version, is it possible to download it somewhere??
But my biggest problem is that i cant set a hotmail account in outlook (on my phone), and he doesnt sync the hotmail account set in outlook on my pc.
Has anyone a answer to this?
Thanx
yer ive noticed this, if anyone could point us in the right direction would be appriciated.
Thanks
WM6 uses Window Live but its in beta so you'll have to find the .cab
I think there may be a .cab for MSN also but not sure..
You'll find Live Messenger under the "Optional Apps" Extras.

Outlook Mobile Mail Follow up

Hi @all,
Can anybody tell me a way to enable the "mark to follow up" feature for e-Mails in Outlook Mobile in cooked WM6 ROMs? e.g. Black&Blue v.4.3?
In the original HTC WM6 version is this feature enabled.
Is it a different Outlook Mobile version or only o reg hack?
And if its a reg hack can anyone tell me which key is how to change?
thanks a lot.
Greets,
Alex
Hi together,
does nobody have an idea to solve this?

WinMo 6.5 Out of Office Assistant

hi folks! I have been playing around with my new tilt 2 and searching this forum and the web for an answer but have been unsuccesful. I am trying to learn how to set up an "out of office" (OOF) auto reply using Outlook mobile. Most references I see to this are for Windows 6.1. I have looked under Tools and Options while in outlook inbox and while in the calendar and I do not see the OOO assistant anywhere. Anyone know where to find this? I was hoping to find some sort of user manual for WinMo 6.5 that would provide info like this but cant find that either.
any advice would be great, thnx!

Hi Taz The instructions for setting it up are on page 158 of your Tilt2 users manual.
If you don't have yours anymore, there's an archived copy on THIS page
thxn for the reply sirphunkee! unfortunately, when I navigate to Outlook email and then click on Menu -> Tools, the only option I have is "Sort By". I do not see an out of office option like the instructions suggest. Any idea what I could be missing here?

No, and I noticed I don't have the option there either...but I'm running WM 6.1 instead of 6.5 so I assumed that was the reason. However, after looking around some it seems that all references are to the option being in that location, for both 6.1 and 6.5. The only other possibility I see is that the option will work only if the account is through an M$ exchange server, particularly 2007...do you know if the account you're accessing is on an Exchange '07 server, or on Exchange at all?
That's all I could really find on that...
It is connecting to an exchange server but I'm not sure which version it is....
You need Exchange 2007 or 2010 in order for the Out Of Office to work. I'm a Systems Administrator btw
