Hi there, new guy here and with a big problem
i have a bluemedia pda 255, from what i understand it's the same thing with mio 168 (or not?), anyway, it was using a windows mobile 2003 SE in german and i tried to change it to english using a .bin image i found on the web.
now when it starts all i see is a white screen and nothing more, and that wouldnt be such a big problem if i could enter the upgrade tools mode, but i cant do that either, so it simply stays all blank all the time. I can connect it to my pc via usb and i can browse all the pda's files using activesync, but that's all i can do.
Before i started i've made a backup using activesync and another backup using osloader. Now i've tried the activesync backup and i get an error message telling me that the backup version is different from the one on the pocket pc.
The .ppcrom file that i've made using osloader i dont know how to use it to restore my old OS withouth having to access the pda (sience i cant).
from what i understand, there is a way to fix it using JTAG, but that's science fiction to me (i only had this pda for about two days, and this is my first pda also, so i'm a real newbie), i cant find any sort of professional service in this town to get help from them.
so... any help, any help at all would be welcomed
...is there nobody?
Hi,
I do not have the pda you have but do have some advice.
You keep saying "from what i understand" , did you get this "understanding" from this site or another?
If you got it here, please post your problem to the forum thread that has the info.
If you got it elsewhere, you may want to post there and see what response you can get.
Not trying to be cavalier here but a person can only help if they have had the experience of the pda you own, if they do not, they most likely will not post advice.
Good luck.
well. no... my understanding did not came from here, i have it from a thread started in 2005 (other site)and i asked there also, i also agree that someone can help only if he has the experience of this pda...
which is more likely why i find myself in this situation, i think i followed the upgrade guide from another pda
and about the advice, sience at this moment all i can do with the pda is to throw it at the garbage, im willing to try anything on it
id even try the jtag thingie, that requires me to open up the pda and mess around inside, but i have a great lack of info about the subject and no expertise whatsoever
kind thanks for your advices, as i said before, they are welcomed!
ok, something else then, does anyone have the RUU? the rom update utility in german for my kind of ppc? thanks
I have the same problem !

Help Help, please, I need your help please,
I am really new to this forum. I have been reading a long time the forum, and see evolution of cooked rom. I love the Tomal version 8.2 19960 that was on my Jasjar Imate. When I try to put the Vanillla version 8.2 I think that I mismatch myself, and unfortunately I should get back when I saw the error code 120. What I did, I say yes, and now have a blank screen. Nothing happens. Badly again, again, I have seen before this message USB on top and 2.01 on the bottom, but after I pull out the battery and change for another, I cannot connect anymore the device to the computer. It gives me this message <USB device not recognized> or < Windows cannot recognize a device attaching to you computer>. I kept trying all times, and now that this message, I have on my computer.
I think I did break my device myself, or I have all my stuffs in it, my passwords, my agendas, my contacts and so on.
Howw can anybody help me get out of this mess and recover my device. Please, I need help. Your help please.
Gerard
Universal Imate JasJar broke after error code 120 - Message USB Device not recognize
Thanks to post already done in this forum. I searched and brwosed all <USB not recognized> installed many utilities but without success. Finally, I discover the post < Instructions for those stuck on Boot Screen (UNI_exitbootloader> in wiki.xda-developers.com and I get results, my device has been come to life again, it was RESURRECTED.
I follow exactly, that the solutions, I tried before, but in panic and in a hurry you could miss to steps and to pay attention to the instructions, but I retry again and again and finally it did work. And I put the Tomal 8.2 19960 again on my Imate jasJar and bingo, it works.
For sure, I have not seen the blue screen <clubimate> again, but a black screen, and at the bottom te version 1.15 radio, 8.2 TML and so on, but it doesn't matter, I am so glad to see all the functions come again to life, and put my sbp backup and bingo, I do have all my data and software back, as I take precautions allways to make a backup two days ago with sbp.
MANY THANKS TO XDA-DEVELOPERS; TO XDA DEVOPERS WIKI, AND TO THE PERSONS OR THE TEAM THAT FOCUS ON ANSWERS TO HELP PEOPLE LIKE ME AND OTHERS get out freely and sincerely to theirs problems.
I hope this post will help others to keep visiting and searching xda-developers for solutions of their device needs.
All the best
Hello everyone, I am really new to this forum having received the Dash 2 days ago. Looking to get it up to speed I flashed the 6.5 Energy Rom according to instructions. I think that was a very bad move, because now the cellphone is stuck on the Loading Energy Rom screen. I have searched the forum for answer and have already tried the following:
1- Entering bootloader and flashing original ROM. No luck because EVERY rom I have gotten, be it from here and T-Mobile, it says invalid vendor ID.
2-Tried to perform a hard reset. Did not work.
3-Flash the original ROM through the memory card. No avail.
The phone cannot connect to active sync, so I can't install any cooked ROMS. I think the solution is installing the original ROM by the bootloader, but I cant seem to find a compatible one. My cell information is the following:
Bootloader screen info: ONBL 1.22.0000 SPL 1.22.0000 IU
EXCA 100 S/N SZ713FE05873.
Is there any way with that information someone can tell me which ROM to use? Or any other tip/hint/suggestion? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
I have the same Bootloader screen info: ONBL 1.22.0000 SPL 1.22.0000 IU value and i was able to restore my phone to working status with the following ROM
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IJIVTIMF
Hope this help

That's odd, I was able to restore my Excalibur/Dash after flashing the corrupted EnergyRom.
Hope you will find a way to resolve your problem.

But how did you do it? Flashing it through USB or through the memory card? The weird thing is that when I run the EXE the cellphone that appears in the picture of the program is an SDA. But well I will try it again and thank you for the help!
I used bootloader method and connected my phone through USB for flashing. Remember to remove your memory card when flashing.
well, I've been in your situation for almost 3 days now, and still no solution for it, maybe it's time to put it in the box and purchase a new one , all thanks to the broken EnergyROM ...
Ok guys. Don't give up. Believe it or not, a Dash is NOT easy to brick like some other devices. the steps are fairly clear but let me refresh:
- Go into bootloader by holding the camera button and powering on the phone
- Connect the USB cable, you will hear the ba-bing USB connect sound on your PC (if u don't thats why you're having issues flashing)
- Download and unpack a "factory sealed" signed ROM. I use this one: http://rapidshare.com/files/7886560...S_1.33.422.1_4.1.13.51_03.07.90_Ship.exe.html
- With USB connected and the phone in the multicolor bootloader, run RomUpdateUtility.exe, check the boxes, it next, bla bla bla.
- It will look for your device for 20 seconds. then hit "update" and next.
- It should then start flashing the Excalibur Brightpoint Factory ROM back onto your phone
- If you can't get this far or it fails, try a different PC or Flash from the SDcard
** NOTE: If flashing from USB, REMOVE the SD CARD! This is the biggest mistake of most people trying to flash from USB.
Good luck.

Thanks ookba for cheering us up. I'm having the same problem like many, many people in this forum hopeless seeing our dash not responding to every solution proposed in this forum and the only thing that we have right now is keep trying to flash and see if it works. I will try again in different PC and see what happens. I'll let all of you know if I finally resurrect my s621.
Thanks everyone for all the help! It's hard to find people that are so helpful on internet forums. I'm still in the same situation as gmaniac and alexalexoe but hopefully we can find something that will fix our problems

Thanks 105507 but no success at all, I even found 2 more factory roms in the web and also they don't work. I own an unbranded international version s621 manufactured by Brightstar corporation (I tried to flash Brightstar's stock rom but it didn't work) and I noticed this because in the warranty docs it says brigthstar corporation and originally the phone came with WM5.
not that this will help. but this is one of the reasons why people should be really installing the hardspl so if you have a bad flash, you dont have to install a stock rom. any rom whether be it cooked or not will work. but this hardspl must be done prior to installing ANY rom. the hard spl is done by jockyw2001. send him a pm to see if theres anyway to get that on the phone, even in its current state.
edit: here's the link to the hardspl: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=329605

My phone is the same your phone but ONBL 1.33.0000 and SPL 1.33.0000
I'm trying to find the original rom of this line but not found. Please help me!
Have you done a reset? My friend fixed his by trying reset a few times. He reset it, walked away...., it took long time to see whether it booted over; if not, do it again...
By the way, he leave the sim card in; and, you need to remove your micro sd card.
On an official site it is possible download ROM for your phone. It is flashing from bootloder mode. It some times helped me, while I have not flashed hard SPL.

Its a long story and I think i know the problem but I don't know exactly how to solve it ?? couple of week before I bought HTC wildfire s working very good ! after 3 4 days I bought WIFI - to download apps when I start downloading apps everything seems to be fine but suddenly on one night it stop showing me my sim signals ! I tried every way but didn't work then suddenly i Plunged the charger and remove it before the phone starts it works showing me an exclamation mark on the battery and loading the sim signals ! after that battery become green and normal ! this tricks works for me couple of time but after 3 more days this trick works no more ! I bring my phone to local repair mobile shop he said me that it is a software issue ! the phone needs to reset/flash the software again ! - but the cost was bit expensive ! -- I bear it -- and he takes almost 3 hours to completely re install the software of my mobile ! and the mobile start working perfectly ! (forget to mention that after i got signal issue mobile hanging issue was also appeared at the same time.) after flash the mobile signals were back and hanging problem was gone ! after using it for 5 or more days I tried again installing apps from GOOGLE PLAY (only) I installed bunch of apps again ! I was using it normally until yesterday the hanging problem is returned and signals are gone ! charging trick how ever work for me for the first time after that it is not working any more -- either the software was again corrupt due to some app I installed or may be some how it need flash again ! -- I am a student not have enough money to get it flashed again and again tried the factory reset no effect ! don't want to root my phone !
The only thing I am asking is how I can my self Re-install the software of my htc wildfire s completely - without rooting it the original one just like the mobile shop keeper does it for me !
or how I can recover it or repair it ? without flashing the hanging and signals problem !
Please note the important information -
Its not a sim issue checked ! -- brand new sim -
Its not a hardware problem --
--
Its marvel s-on - gsm hand set
In my country their is no tmobile or verizone - or something like that ! - their is sim system in my country.
Please I have only one set - I am out of communication I will appreciate any help - ON how to reinstall the htc wildfire software fully.
No reply ??
I am out of communication please reply me fast other wise I have to cut my budget
I think the problem is with phone.apk. Without rooted U cant access the OS, so U cant fix it manually. U could root ur phone, its very easy and I think no problem with it.
Anyways, the only option have now is to use is an RUU. Go to settings->about phone->software information. See the software number and find an appropriate RUU (rom update utility). 2.26.720.3 is the latest. Its a bit risky if U flash wrong RUU ur phone may get bricked. So make sure its for wildfire s/marvel s/and not for cdma. Ur phone is simbase means GSM
Dont hurry or panic. Read some threads, search your requirements. Take some time. It may seem a difficult but its a work of 15minutes. Ur phone mechanic took 3 hours coz he needed to download the soft/may be gather some knowledge. Default os of wildfire s is crappy I think. U better root. Nothing to lose.
Link to a good RUU. The latest one I havent applied it. Not sure if its appropriate. Try this one.
oh my god !
you dont have to put ! exclamation marks ! everywhere !
also, your grammar was horrifying !
If it's new, bring it in for OFFICIAL servicing, you can either ask for it to be fixed or for a completely new one.
Greetings
I got a notification that there is an update to one ui 5 _ android 13 available. i connected the phone to the charger, started update and went to sleep (since the internet speed is slow here and takes a long time to download the data). after i woke up, i faced a bootloop on my phone.
i cleared the cache and repaired apps in recovery menu (based on a guide on some website), but it didn't help. what should i do?
* my phone doesn't have a warranty anymore.
First wait for an hour if it boots up if not wipe all the data
Oh my, I just faced the exact same problem WITH the exact same phone! :')
Don't bother with technicians, tried with two and they both said wiping data was the only way. I was thinking of trying with the Samsung Support Center but eh, they're closed tomorrow (italian holiday lmao)
Anyways, I believe doing a hard reset would resolve everything, but I'm assuming you don't want to..
I got a whole lot of help in here, if you want to check!
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...p-after-device-is-stuck-on-boot-loop.4536965/
Let me know if you're able to do something!
Alslamalikom (Peace be upon you) .. I hope you are well.... I had the same problem, in samsung a22 4g after updating Android 13, it only turned on the Samsung logo, then it restart.. Bootloop
I just subscribed.. to warn you so that no one will make same mistake .. My storage size is 128 GB and it is full of family personal and for me, and it was not possible to format it so as not to lose it.. Also, the mobile was under warranty, and I did not want to go to the agency, because they would say format or they would be able to open it, and it contains special family things
So I used Odin and the ROM version a225fxxu3cvk3 and another object such as bootloader and others, and the download began, and all my hope is to open The device does not delete anything
Thank Allah , in any case, the device was opened, but an automatic format was made for the device and everything was lost as if it was new... So I liked that no one did and lost his data as me🥹
And as kind member here called (nanawa) said, try when an update comes out, not the same ROM or Older than on the mobile phone
But everyone who installs the ROM is at her/his own risk
I will put it here and 2 another topics related to the problem and i will leave
Best wishes,, alslamalikom

Wa ʿalaykumu s-salam, i want to ask a question, was the device bootloader unlocked with the important data or was it locked?
