French Hermes WM6 ROM!!!

Hello!
I am working to cook a french WM6 ROM, it is going on the good way and I thought that some people could be interested in this (as I know that french members of this forum are asking and waiting for it since a long time!). I still have a lot to do, but if you are interested in my ROM I could release it in the following days.
This ROM uses the same base as the lastest LVSW 3.30.0.8 ROM, the french MUI is from an official WM6 image (provided with WM6 SDK).
Here are some features of my ROM:

Wo! Very impressive! What a good news! I'm using Custel 1.3 for some time (After XDA Live 0.1 & 0.2), but I would be very happy to get a french WM6!

You are doing a Great work.
I am portuguese and I am also interested in replace the english MUI files by the portuguese. I have extracted the SDK image I have the dump directory with the relevant files. My problem now is to know exactly which files must be replaced and How. If you can give a little help it woud be great.

As per as my post here, I also want to transform a WM6 ROM in a portuguese rom with the sdk image. Please clarify a doubbt I have: which tool you use to open the wm6 file rom (nbh) to be able to replace the needed files? how do you do that?

Hi dcoelho.
You can extract the NBH content with koch soft from dutty.
With this you get the NB files you can extract manage with same tool, or you can use tadzio tools to get BigStorage version.
Advice: If you origin ROM is done by tadzio tool, don't use koch to edit (you can extract the content of NBH anyway)

I think we all who like not WEE versions can put all our effor together in one way to get multiple language WM6 ROMs.

Does the others ROM (non french I mean) requires hard modifications to understand AZERTY hard keyboard and display an AZERTY soft keyboard or it is only something we can parameter in the device?

Simple - just try to load the ROM into The Koch. If that works, you can use it. If the Koch crashes, you can't.

I have HTC Streaming Player version 2.10h, could you tell if there is a newer version? If yes, where could I find it?
I would rather not to change 3G icon to keep an original ROM.

It is not possible to easily change the software keypad, but there is no problem for the hardware keyboard, if you want I can give you a cab install I made to change the keyboard layout to french.

When you flash a new ROM, you will loose all your data!!! take this in consideration. So, you will make a full reisntallation of all your personals applications​

Here is my wish list (anyway your rom is fantastic).
1)Ive tried bepe wwe ROM, and in HTC Homeplug the music tab is working as a ringtone selection (sound, vibrate, etc.), i rather prefer this, but is only my wish.(editing the registry IT WORKS in 3.3 !!)
2) Another sugestion from bepes rom, in COMM mAnager there is a button to switch on and off 3g, this is a nice feauture as well. (EDited: Just installed 3.3 and already includes this feature, works perfect !)

Yes, in setup operator button "done" don't work for movistar but work for orange and vodafone, i'm looking to fix it.

Trying to put this rom on my triny i've got a communication error.
Now, my triny does'n start the old 3.01 rom. It's blocked in the windows mobile 6 start screen.
Please, What can i do?

I'll try it out!
It seems to be working ok! I had to get the Wlan working first, by executing the "trayicion" file first!!!

Crashed...
Appears to work fine and fast. But! Alass... after a short time it freezes and then there is nothing else to do than to reinstall the rom. A hard reset doesn't even help here. Tried it three times, and ik happened three times.
Any suggestions?
In the meantime I put my wm5 rom back on my N311...

Unfortunately it's a english rom, ayone knows how to change the input (azerty) and menu language (french)
I did something like that with my qtek 8310 when i installed wm6 on it, i'll check for some extra language cabs.

It's just a workaround, but y installing realvga and language files for this software, you can have your PDA, with your native language.
you can find a post about it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=327830.
But seems not to have italian language pack .
There was a requests for it, maybe you'll find.

I reply to me: With the above procedure, I've successful installed WM6 on my Acer n310b in seven minutes! ... it's all right 100%! No freezing, more fast than WM5.1 and more... "green"...

After a week of WM6, I have some questions:
1) to all who have "freeze" problems: can you describe what happens when it freezes? Yesterday I had wifi on and several applications running, and suddendly the device just froze. I tried a soft reset, but it didn't work, so I thought that my device froze just like said in the previous posts. But then, I tried an hard reset, and it worked good. Anyone got similar experiences?
2) I can't find Messenger anymore! It's hidden somewhere in the menus? I have to download a cab? Can anyone please help me on that?
3) Anyone happens to have a good black theme for WM6? [edit: I found some good themes here on xda!)

Ciao, ti rispondo in inglese in modo che la risposta sia utile per tutti.
To solve the wifi problem after the ROM upgrade:
- run "File Explorer"
- go to "Windows" directory on device
- locate the file "trayicon.exe"
- tap on "trayicon.exe" and select "copy"
- go to "Windows\StartUp" on device
- tap and select "Paste Shortcut"
- soft reset your device
Now, you should have the WiFi icon in the system tray, near the "bluetooth" and "rotate screen" icons. Use your WiFi as usual!
This workaround survives your soft resets, but if you hard reset your device you have to do it again!

For my experience, i didn't see any differences regarding wi-fi. It was just like the latest acer official ROM, and far less efficient than my "out of the box" rom
Not a big issue for me, as I don't really use wi-fi, with my pda.

I just tried this upgrade and like fore some other posters it hangs for me after a while. I need to restore a WWE WM5 rom but there are no roms on the Acer ftp any longer. Does anyone know an alternative source where I can get an os image?

Hy, I've updated my n311 to wm6 and now bluetooth don't work!
I have tryed soft and hard reset but nothing! It display "the bluetooth radio failed to turn on due to insufficient driver memory available. You must perform a normal reset before you can turn on the bluetooth radio"

Thanks to your response (RanDomIze), the problem that the download speed is very slow although I have a very fast Internet Connection!
Anyhow, we'll be waiting your final WWE ROM, and it will be nice if you can fix the download speed.

Actually it's the first time for me to try your ROMs. Could you PLZ keep us updated next time before start cooking a new ROM, so we can suggest to add/remove some applications if that's possible?

Where has you found SYS in PTG?, Have you translated a WWE ROM?. how has you translated this ROM?.
Well, last SYS for different languages in this post is 20273 but you are using 20758. I'm very interested to cook a Spanish ROM based on 20758 ;-)

Can you please explain the main differences between this Rom and 1.93 (besides those things coming from Touch Pro/Rapahel, that is).
I mean I have the 1.93 Rom, from Tom (the one HTC put up on their site, I presume), and I'm happy with it.
But looking at your description, this one looks great.
Have you ever tried the 1.93 one? And can you make a comparison?

I think you mentioned to the update of WM, but in all cocked rom's tested by me, the update give me error. I think that he will have something to about with the signature of rom.

The problem is the update of Windows Mobile, I didn't get, he tries but in the end give me error...

If you refer to the LandscapeMenu edit file 275fe915_manila in Windows and correct to "Contactos".
@ark666 ----> I use your rom from about 1 week and works fine.

In tri-color mode, my Diamond shows:
DIAM100 MFG 64M
SPL-1.40.OliNex
MicroP-Diam (LED) v11
PSOC-Diam STAGE_PVT V0x30
Does this signifies that I already have HSPL, and all I have to do is to install the new rom by RUU? Just this? If not, what will I have to do?
Ark, does your rom already have radio included? Whitch version is?
Is it easy to modify some therms to Brazilian Portuguese? Woul you like to try it with my collaboration? I don't know anything about programming, but I have good will (boa vontade)! If you send me the "font code" or "command lines" (sorry if it's wrong terms), maybe I can identify the words and "translate" it...
And at last, if its not too much abused, can you provide a network setup wizard for Brazilian operators?
