Hi people,
I just bought a Logitech Mobile Pro Headset for my O2 XDAIIi.
It works great, but only has the option to be used with phone calls.
Does anyone know of a way of getting a bluetooth headset to work with the rest of the device sounds?
i.e. Mediaplayer..

It is now possible to enjoy great music from your PPC ...without dangling cables, entangling with PPC and hassle free way.
Has been doing extensive testings, finally here is the setup
Equipments needed:
1. A Bluetooth Stereo Headset such as Motorola HT820 or iTech Clip S (see photo) or Nokia HS-12W see http://www.nokia.com.sg/nokia/0,,74203,00.html
2. A PPC that supports A2DP Bluetooth Profile such as XDAIIi, or Dell X50v.
AT LAST!! This is a major, major breakthrough in Bluetooth high quality audio streaming, now everything works and rocks! WMP10, TCPMP all works well! Can stream stereo audio wmv video with both easily!! with BT stereo Headset!!
The problems have been licked!!
Thanks to tip offs and dogged trials by many die hard PPC users who never gave up!! Thks to Desmdlow and others!
Assume that you have already installed this
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/ha...load/22475.html
and still faced many hiccups
Here are the steps to solve this mystery:
Step 1: Temporarily cut the BTTrayCE.lnk file from Windows/Startup folder and put it away somewhere else.
Step 2: Soft reset. This will disable the BT completely
Step 3: Install the PDA2K_BroadcomCorp_BTUpd.cab
See
http://www.pdagold.com/forums/view_topic.asp?t=5012&fi=0
Step 4: Copy to WINDOWS folder all contents of folder Broadcom 1[1].6.0 0600 Updated unzipped files. See
http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread....ight=itech+clip
Step 5: Copy and put back the BTTrayCE.lnk file into the Windows/Startup folder
Step 6: Soft reset
Step 7: On your WMP 10 or TCPMP, play your favorite mp3/wma/wmv/avi then on your BT Manager and connect the BT High Quality Audio Headset Profile
Voila and now boomzz....you are in business....ENJOY great music from WMP10 and TCPMP with your BT Stereo Headset!!
Step 8: For X50v PPC only, to view and listen wmv video on TCPMP goto Options-->Video-->select Raw Framebuffer. For WMP10 can view and listen to wmv as usual. Can also hear/view avi video on TCPMP too. For WMP can toggle screen on/off, forward songs, pause etc without any freezing up!

I've tried this but my "Logitech Mobile Pro Headset" wont connect to my device when trying to select it to use this profile.
Any suggestions?
Thanks very much for the advice and info.
I followed the instructions to the letter but alas still no audio from any progs except the phone
I don't have the additional High Quality Audio Service available!
Using a T-Mobile MDAIII
If you have any more ideas, would be gratefully received.
John
PS Where can I get the latest ROM updates suitable for the MDAIII UK?
Bluetunes
I got my XDA Exec yesterday and so have not tested this yet, but have been successfully using it for over a year now with no problems on my SPV C500 (Orange Smartphone):
http://www.modaco.com/index.php?download=456
Bluetunes is a very simple peice of software that allows you to use your bluetooth headset to listen to hardware sounds including media players etc.
You will need to be a registered member of Modaco.com (free) to download.
I hope that this works and will amend my post if i test it and find it unsuccessful or if someone else does first, please add to this thread to let me and others know.
Is it possible to listen to music or video audio over a bluetooth headset with wm2003se? or wm5? if yes how?

thanks a million!!!
How about voicedialing over a BT headset?

Hi Vjay, tried it but did'nt work on my Imate PDA2K
What OS is the iMate PDA2K?
VJVolublis only works correctly on WM5 devices, but I can't guarantee it works at all on the unofficial WM5 BA rom

@ defroster: it's not funny to refer to Search. I've been searching the web and this forum for hours now. It's all a huge soup of lots of very old threads, lots of questions, lots of "funny" answers, lots of URL links that lead to Chinese pages, Tai pages, other languages I've never seen before, dead links, answers to anything else than the original questions, some misinformation and as far as I've been able to find very little RECENT, ACTUALLY ACCURATE information.
The hardware/software I want to use together:
-Medion Pro2 car stereo has Bluetooth (handsfree and headset mode).
-Qtek 2020 (Himalaya) ROM 1.75.00WWE Radio version 1.18.00 2003SE
-Tomtom 5
-a not yet bought stereo headset (of course not for use in the car)
The car stereo does mute on phone use and does function as handsfree, but doesn't mute when Tomtom talks, nor can I send MP3 from Qtek to car stereo. So it doesn't make sense to buy a stereo headset before I know how to solve this problem.
Any help better than defroster's suggestion is welcome.
Having installed TOMTOM6 on my HTC-3300 (t-Mob branded) I am looking for a way to route TOMTOM traffic messages thru my bluetooth carkit.
Obviously the phone calls go through fine, but afaik all the pda apps. sounds only run thru the mda's speaker.
Does anyone know a workaround or reg. tweak to do this?, I can't immagine I am the only one who would be looking for such functionality.....unless everybody else uses the gps function only 4 walking
Help much appreciated,
Frans
If your car kit supports the A2DP profile for Audio over Bluetooth and you select the option to use it all the audio from TomTom will be via the car kit, check what your car kit is capable of supporting - Mike

I'm using btaudio
greetz
Thanks for the tips!
My Nokia carkit does not support A2DP, it's the old CK-7W type....
I will try the above attached btaudio once more. Previous attempts using this program were not succesful, I believe the bt hardware of the artemis was not recognized.
I remember that on my IPAQ 5550 I changed a registry setting, enabling audio over BT, but I could not find such an entry in the Artemis reg.
Keep you posted on progress, and thanks sofar!
Succes!
Just tried btaudio, attached by hotatomic, and it works!!!!
Haven't tried what happens if I get an incoming call yet, but the sound for TT6 is much better using the Nokia handsfree.
Thanks!!!
Hi guys,
I'm a newbie here, and was pointed to your excellent forum from one of the Mods over at pocketgpsworld.com.
I am running copilot 6 on an O2-registered xda Orbit, using a scala rider headset, on my motorbike, and i need to install btaudio.cab to mt xda in order for the insturctions to be relayed to my earpiece. My question is this - whereabouts to do i need to upload the file to on my xda (obviously somewhere in the copilot files, but i'm not sure where!!) and do i need to unpack it first?
Any help or tips gratefully recieved!!
Welsh Biker
No transfer the cab file directly to the orbit, (storage card is usually the best place to put them).
Then in file explorer, double click the .cab file to run it and it will install the application.
It's a separate application to Copilot.

That's brilliant, many thanks. I did as you said, and it is now working perfectly.
Once again, many thanks indeed

i have a orbit and i installed the btaudio cab but unfortunately it doesnt work for me. do i need to change any other setting for it to work properly? i am using a motorola hs350 headset. i am trying to use it to listen to music on my headset instead of the internal speaker. i tested tomtom6 with it and that is still being heard on the speaker and not the headset. thanks
Connect the headset to the Artemis first, then run BTAudio, switch to "on" and then minimize don't exit the program.
Have you got software that closes apps by pressing the x button or something, so that you keep switching the app off when activating tomtom etc.
how silly of me, checked settings menu, connections menu everything except the program menu!!!
Thanks a lot mate
Hi,
I seem to be having the same problem as some of the other guys. The Bt software is installed on my Orbit, I pair the phone with my car then switch the software on. At this stage the TomTom voice stops coming from the phone but doesn't come through the handfree either. If I switch the software off again the sound returns to the phone.
Is this being caused by the format of the handfree kit in my car as mentioned on the first page of this post?? How would I positively confirm the format of my handsfree kit?
Cheers
Rob.
i try to install and it works, but when i turn on audio my radio goes in mute, is possible to send the sound only when tomtom talk?
Hi all
I also need help with audio features. Is there an app that will send all audio through the head phone socket (connected to autocom on motorbike) and phone calls through bluetooth have tryed the app in this tread but it wont split it only redirects all audio?
PS sorry for the high jack of your thread just seemed a good place to ask this.
Has anybody managed to successfully re-direct their Trinity BT audio to a non A2DP handsfree kit?
I have tried a couple of the cab's and registry hacks in other parts of the forum with no success.
Bluetooth handsfree works fine, for phone calls.
Main thing i want to do is got my voice command to use my handsfree mic, and not my phone mic....
Be nice to re-direct tomtom too, but that would just be a bonus really.
A2DP Hack
Just got this hack form my friend. & test it's OK on my Trinity... But, it's a bit tricky that only work in .mp3 format. .mwa same.
Ok, that did nothing for my phone.
Do you need to assign the application a button or something?
Hello,
I've an Asus Mypal A696, which has an internal mic. Is it possible to use my PDA as an external microphone for my PC?
(To talk through MSN, in games like CS:S etc.) I already created a bluetooth audio gateway from my PDA to my PC. On my control panel,
I can see the bluetooth microphone and speakers, but I don't know how te let them work.
Can someone help me?
I already thank you in advance!
Liopleurodon
Still not found how to let it work.
