How to upgrade?
Method 1: You must've installed the Ollipro's SPL 2.10 and select the option no. 4 which is
" SPL-2.02/2.10 New Bootloader and check the last check box " Is it Hard-SPL?" and then carry on with the upgrade wizard.

Method 2: Use SSPL when upgrading by checking the 5th radio button " Force using SSPL"
But I prefer the first method to the 2nd one.

Section B: Setting PagePool size before you upgrade! (No need to Hex edited it yourself) How To ...a simpler way

1. Download and execute the proper patcher in the same folder you extracted the NBH and RUUWrapper.exe files (Download below). If the patching success then ...
2. Run RUUWrapper.exe to install the ROM on your device as instructed in Section A.
**Attention: Never!, I mean 'never!' run my patch on other Cooks' .nbh files. It will brick your device!
And ...
If you already have ran the patcher once on the .nbh file, you still can run it again and again just to patch it to other size. Just select the appropriate patcher and run it on the same folder of the ROM .nbh file (Recommended).

Tips And Tricks!!!
Some simple tricks you can do to improve your device (Very simple but effective) And Some Hints:
1. Improve performance/response time:
- Start > Settings > Phone => Keypad = Off
- Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications; Under Sound Tab => Disable/Untick Events (warings, system events)
2. Your Windows Mobile device is just like your Windows PC. So, soft reset it before going to sleep (or whenever appropriate) once a day to make it runs good at all time.
3. Make sure you install the today plugin apps such as Resco Today Plugin etc. on the internal/device memory. Some today plugin can be installed on the storage card but it'll slow down your system performance a bit.
4. Do not install too many apps on the internal/device memory. Leave as much free space as you can on it. Check whether it can be install on the storage card or not. Normally, don't let it become as low as 8MB free but 10MB is enough already.
5. Know what you're doing such as tampering your system registry. Make sure it can be done and you're doing it the right way. If not, then leave it as is.

It's not a tab, it a dropdown box. When you open the phone settings, immediately you'll see the keypad dropdown box in the middle of the screen.
For your feedback No 1, It should install and launch ok. Try it again and soft reset after the installation. Remember to install it on the device memory.

(Thanks for finding it out MistaRip!)
Now I see you already have this in your ROM. Can you just make this the default file explorer and forget the standard WM6 version. gsfinder+ is a superb program.
The Asia version Network wizard is great expect I also miss the China Mobile settings. I have to manual import them when I go across the border.

Thanks. Good to hear you like GSFinder+ but I cannot delete the MS Explorer since it's a base core applications for some of the programs in the phone itself such as Bluetooth ftp etc. So GSFinder+ is considered as a bonus application.

1. Is sdkcerts.cab integrated into the ROM?.
2. phcanoverbmp.dll is installed in the Dialers directory. It should go to windows.
3. Cyphol, your phcanoverbmp.dll is too big of a size. 470KB versus mine of only 150KB. The bmp inside the dll is 32bit bmp images. You dont need 32bit images, because the actual Kaiser images only contain 8 bits(256 colors). Therefore you cannot distinguish the diff if you convert all the bmp to 8 bits.
4.The first 3 bmp are wrong. It should contain the Video In, VideoOut, and Video Miss bmp.
I am done with the dialers. Make sure you use the latest update. The latest update use Kaiser Smartdialer which not only looks nicer but also provide more functionality over the traditional.
May I know what else did you change from the original?

I'm using the phcanbmp* from Bennec83 for multi colored batttery icon.
I've already packaged your latest creation in the add-ons. Since many want the original dialer so i cooked in the original interface but package the Kaiser style for others including me.

What so special about this ROM?
Well, nothing special since I'm using the similar ROM (T-Mo 3.60 Beta) as my base ROM just like other cooks but ...
some programs are not cooked in. They are installed through Extended ROM autorun. So, if you feel that mine is bad or taking up spaces then you just can uninstall it/them and install yours. These includes HTCHome Today Plugin.
Also don't expect a large free storage like other ROMs around because I did not strip it to the max for stability purposes. Maybe one day I'll manage to make as big storage and stable as it can.

Try this alternative network wizard app.
Net update will be uninstallable Dopod Network Wizard (Asia Pasific) so other users from other parts of the world can have their network setting by installing the alternative wizard.

My little daughter also like spiderman, and this rom is very clean, which I have been looking for.
But, settings->connection is extremely slower than any other roms.

Mine is based on T-Mo 3.60 Beta which is the latest ROM available whereas TNT 2 is based on Dopod 3.54 Official. I like Dopod too. So you can make a choice whether you want a customized ROM based on either one but try first and compare later. TNT is cooked by a very experienced cook. So I don't dare to compare mine to his.

I've had this for a while now but have been super lackadaisical so i'm releasing it now.
Requirements: You should be familiar with cooking and should have read the wiki several times to get an idea how to do this. It's fairly straight-forward to cook, however modifying, adding, deleting, and creating stuff could be a challange. The steps are as follows:
-buildos+package_tools-4.2b3
-Go to the buildos tab
-Choose load ROM on top left
-Tick the programs that you want (i have provided hundreds of OEMs and if you want more, just create them using the CAB2OEM program i have included) and press Go.
-Popup will come up, choose the second option [Create_ROM_for_Hermes](edit the dump before you press Ok)
-ROM is now cooking
-NBH Tool comes up. Go to the second tab, NB to NBH.
-Under OS, press the ... and go to Tools>Htools>OS-new.nb>generate NBH file.
-Once the ROM is done cooking, pagepool patcher will come up. Choose the pagepool you want and exit it
-You can use PoolPage changer to change the pagepool
-Navigate to the directory you put the ROM and flash
-Enjoy!

Dare I ask if Custel's Cingular video cab works?
Only Starbase64 and PhamQuang have got it working on M2D. JoshKoss roms don't like CV.
Regardless, I've been flashing like crazy the past MONTH. I will try out the M2D and report back.

Custel's Cingular Video cab won't launch from programs or windows directory
I love the rom so far but being an AT&T user, I use the cingular video quite frequently for video news. Can anyone help me get HTC youtube app running on CRC's ROM? It installs and loads the thumbnails for videos but can't play video files. I've read that I have to use certain files from the Manila v20 thread to get it running properly.
My observation
As of now I am using a lite version
... very fast ROM
at first boot network wizard wants to start right away
A pumpkin as a startup is not that bad but unseasonal ( christmas is coming);0
Initial findings
1. No problem connectiong to activesync ( so no need to worry about that one flashers!!!)
2. lovely Icons real nice it does compliment to the pumpkin ( slimy green for charging and speakers)
3. there was An interchange in WM5storage and wktask ( wm5storage is located in settings>> connections and wktask is located in programs) noticed that wm5storage has a problem n my device
just tried the bluetooth
it is beam is not readily activated so you have to activate this first( wish there was a moblue for easier transfer for bluetooth)

then have to go to bluetooth had to check Turn on bluetooth and make the device visible to other devices... too tedious so
transfer works when I used moblue
so if the blutooth works I am just speculating that IR will work also for the WI-FI no access here

Intro:
Basically, this mod puts 4 columns of icons in the Manila Start Menu and All Programs page. Check out the screenshots below.
Big thank you to 6Fg8, sztupy and Chainfire for their Manila editing tools.
Requirements:
This mod is made for Manila (TouchFlo 3D) versions 2.0 and 2.1 only.
To check the version go to the settings tab in TouchFlo, at the bottom there should be "About" and "TouchFLO 3D" followed by the version number.
If you have any problems with this mod please report your full Manila (e.g. 2.1.xxxxx or 2.0.xxxxx) version, the device and ROM you are using.
This is for WVGA devices only. For VGA devices there is a VGA version made by JVH3.
UPDATE 27/07/2009:
Added a troubleshooting section to the post. Made a fix for the StartMenu/PrograsTab crash bug (see troubleshooting below). Fixed bug with Spike's 4 Columns All Settings (new cab attached).

The Programs Tab is now supported. I've tweaked the layout specifically for the Tab view.
For those who want it, I've also included a way to activate the OldStartMenu+ProgramsTab by using files from the Addons.zip.
Addons also include cabs to extend the number of items. See below for more info.

Instructions:
Download the 4ColumnsStart&AllPrograms_v1.1.cab and run it on your device.
If you have a problem installing it, try turning off TF3d (Settings->Today), instaling the cab and then turning TF3D back on.
You can also get 4 columns in All Setting (WM6.1) by installing Spike's 4 Columns All Settings.cab - Screenshot.
Known issues for Manila 2.0:
The mod works well on Manila v2.0, but with two limitations: the item number extension add on cabs don't work (see Addon section below) and some item names are aligned to left instead of centered. Unfortunately this can't be resolved because its a limitation of Manila 2.0. Manila 2.1 doesn't have these issues.
Troubleshooting:
-Can't install the cab even after turning off TF3D.
-> You can try manually installing it. Download the files: Manual install files. Copy the manila files to \Windows (overwrite existing files). Import the .reg file to registry. Then soft reset or just restart Manila.
-Start Menu or Programs Tab crashes (TF3D restarts) after you install the mod.
-> Use this fix: CrashFix. Import the .reg file to registry. Then soft reset or just restart Manila.
-All Programs page gets messed up after soft reset
-> This can happen if Max TF3D Theme Maker is installed. To fix it go to \Windows\Startup and remove Shake.lnk and ThemeChanger.lnk (this will disable those functions of MaxTM). You should still be able to use MaxTTM but you will have to reinstall this mod every time after using MaxTTM.
-Manila 2.0 specific: Extra items you can't use
-> With Manila 2.0 you can only have up to 24 items. After installing this mod you'll have 26 but you can't use the last two. If you want to delete the unusable items go to reg key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLauncher\" and delete numbers 30 and 31 (or anything above 23 - key number 0 is the 1st item and 23 is the 24th item, number 24 is the 25th item etc.).
-Black text on black background in All Programs page
-> While the default Manila secondary screen is white with black text, some branded Manila variations (e.g. T-Mobile) have this reversed (white text on black background). To correct this download WhiteText_AllPrograms.zip and copy the manila file to \Windows. Then soft reset or restart Manila.
AddOns:
These are optional extras.
Make sure you install the main 4ColumnsStart&AllPrograms.cab before using any of the addons.
Note: The Extend_to_48_Items and Extend_to_64_Items cabs only work with Manila 2.1. Don't install them on Manila 2.0.
The addon.zip file contains the following:
OldStartMenu+ProgramsTab.reg - This will activate the old Start Menu and Programs Tab.
-> Import the reg file and soft reset. After that go to Manila Settings, Customize Tabs and check the Programs Tab.
ManilaStartMenu.reg - This undos the previous reg i.e. it will activate the Manila Start Menu and deactivate the Programs Tab.
-> Import the reg file and soft reset.
Extend_to_48_Items.cab
-> This will extend the StartMenu/Programs Tab to 48 items. Install only one of the Extend cabs at one time.

-> Same as above, just 64 items. Install only one of the Extend cabs at one time.

Try turning off Manila and then uninstalling it. (Turn off TF3D from Settings->Today.)

I honestly didn't expect it to work well on Manila 2.0 without any modifications (given all the start menu specific problems when mixing different manila file versions). I'm very glad that its working well

Seems the programs tab is causing some trouble. I'll look into that and try to fix it as soon as possible. For now uninstall the cab.
Can you tell me the full version number of your Manila? (For example mine is 2.1.38158.5)
And if anyone else has trouble, report the full Manila version and ROM that you are using it on.

I've updated a few things now and I hope this will solve the problems on some Manila versions.
Anyone who couldn't get this mod to work please try the attached cabs.
First try just type1. If that doesn't work try type2. Please report if it worked and if it did, was it type1 or type2.

A little Aestetic detail
I think it would be more coherent to have the same size of icons in the Start Menu page and in the All Programs page.
Now the All Programs page's icons are a bit too small in my opinion, and I already played around with this "problem" before:
I think I'd rather see more of the icon graphics than of white background, if we have more space.
Nevertheless, this might just be my personal subjective viewpoint, are people happy enough with smaller icons?
confirmed that it works with L3.55. I installed Dharvey's cab to change from the new start menu to a program tab in manila, then applied type 1 cab... it works like a charm without the startmenu activated problem previously with spike's & cookie's version..
One thing tough, could you please incorporate spike's changes so that the setting menu is also 4 columns.. that will be perfectly thx, great job
Hi all! I am looking now since awhile now for a possibility to change the windows mobile start menu to manilas programs tab. Maybe I am thinking too complicated or I am searching for the wrong thing.
I would like touching the start button and the manila programs tab should popup or manila should be shown and change to the programs tab. There are a lot of cabs in this forum about the start menu but I could not figure out what I have to do in case of windows mobile 6.5.
I am using Miri’s WM 6.5 23009 V 24.0 rom. Can anyone direct me to the right threat or cab? It would be perfect if I could combine the 4 columns mod with it.

I made it this way because in my personal view:
-It looks cleaner and less cramped.
-Older icons are 64x64 pixels or less so making them any bigger just stretches them and they lose quality (e.g. on my screenshot in first post: Email Scheduler, AE Button Plus, Google Maps).
But that's my opinion, and if the majority feels this should be changed I'll change it.

You need to have support for it in the ROM, specifically the ROM should have the "Enlarge Start Menu" service cooked in. You should ask Miri about it.
It can be done on WM6.5 ROMs, for example I know that Dutty's WM6.5 R5 & R6 have it as well as the app "Tom Menu Extender" which can be used to easily switch between WM6.5 Start Menu and Manila Start Menu.

While I iron out the bugs in the beta version, here is a separate cab for Spike's changes for the All Settings menu. (It works perfectly regardless of any bugs in my StartMenu/ProgramTab/AllPrograms mod.)

there is a new version - 1.31 dated 16/01/10. If you are not using this version you should. there are probably bugfixes and other features you want.
i've made a tool which can be used to update packages in an Ervius kitchen. i made it as Sparkienl updates his kitchens every so often, but sometimes the new version of the kitchen has old versions of the packages.. it can also convert .cab's to EXT kitchen packages
changes -
1.31 - added handling for HKCR registry settings.
- fix for null reference exception (caused by HKCR registry entries).
1.3a - added a default value for app.reg. if keyname = "" then it will write @ into the app.reg
1.3 - added tabs in app rather than stuffing everythign under one form. the .cab file import is now on the options tab. So is the folder mappings button.
- added a preload for the foldermappings.xml file. first time the datagrid is loaded it wont be blank now.
- added a {build} and {device} style combo box rather than assuming build and device numbers.
important. the build number is used when searching for packages in your kitchen. if you use the build number - eg 28014 rather than "common" you might then get duplicate packages inside your kitchen - eg one in c:\kitchen\ext\blackstone\common\package_1_0 and c:\kitchen\ext\blackstone\28014\package_1_0. This can lead to funny issues when you are cooking.
- added an image comparer. take a folder with a few images and then compare it to your kitchen. It will show any image which is different from your kitchen in a grid. you can select images that you want to update your kitchen with. THIS WILL OVERWRITE THE DESTINATION IMAGE WITH NO WARNING.
- added more UI disables when background threads are working. closing the app while the searcher is running will still crash the app though. i know about this one, but it's a 1% thing.

1.12a - .cab file import completely fails under win7. fixed.
1.12 - fixed app.dat entries (no really, it should be fixed this time). all files goes into \windows it seems and get copied from there to their proper destination. kinda stupid tbh.
- fixed app.dat shortcuts that were still not fixed in 1.11.
- added a foldermappings.xml file so that each of the variables can be changed for localisation - eg %CE2 -> \windows or it's local equivalent. you dont need to generate this file, if it doesnt exist it will be created with the english (0409) settings. you can then either hand edit the .xml or use the inbuilt editor. i'll add something later on so that you can have multiple locales in a combobox and use different ones.
1.11 - shortcut creation not working 100%.
- multiple registry keys under one branch not being exported properly. fixed.
- binary registry keys not being exported correctly. fixed. notification bar packages (eg dusk taskbar icons) now working properly.
- problem where multiple directories matching a source package name - eg power-* showing up as old version (red), not unknown version (blue). fixed.
1.10 - added import cab function. this can convert a .cab into a kitchen package using the _setup.xm in a wince cab. it will process the registry entries, files, shortcuts and app data and create the app.dat and app.reg files. i have only tested this on a few .cab's (the dusk 2.5 manila theme and the taskbar icons and a few other ones) so tbh i don't know how reliable it its but it seems ok. need feedback on this one please
- added new status icon - grey. when you refresh the package if the package exists in the source but not the kitchen you see a grey icon.
- new packages are now correctly added to kitchen rather than just being passed over.
- added some filters - show missing (packages exist in package source but not in kitchen), show different (versions are different), show same.
- other bugs fixed.. i think the packages.txt was being added to even if the package already existed. maybe some others.
1.02 - added combobox for users to select htc model. blackstone and topaz built in, but if you type in your model into the combobox this app will try and match the folder %kitchenroot%\EXT\%htcmodel%\common\packages.txt. If it finds packages.txt in that folder you can then choose to update packages.txt. It also uses this folder as the root of the packages folder in your kitchen.
- added .erv file updater. if you choose a .erv file from your kitchen this app will try and update it with your updated packages. you'll notice in the kitchen the new version of the package is not grey anymore (ie you dont need to enable it). But, you can only update one .erv file per package update.

before you do anything - backup your kitchen. THIS APP WILL MAKE CHANGES
TO YOUR KITCHEN AND IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG IT CAN OVERWRITE/DELETE STUFF.
1. open up the app.
2. point the source folder at your directory that contains kitchen packages
3. point the destination directory at the root of your ervius kitchen (other kitchens won't work (eg PRB), because their directory structures are different to ervius - i might make an update to try and more kitchens to the compatibility list since i know ervius isnt the fastest to cook.). the app will then try and fill in the device model and build numbers. If they are blank the folder structure in your kitchen is wrong.
4. click the refresh 'packages list' button.
the status led colours mean the following -
grey. new package. the package exists in the source, but not in the kitchen. you can choose to add it here.
red. the version in the kitchen is older than the version in your source package folder.
blue. something went wrong getting the destination package version. most likely this util could only find the directory name. also, if that package doesnt exist in your kitchen this will happen also.
yellow. the version of the package in your kitchen is newer than the version in your source folder. you can update it with this old version, but i don't recommend it of course.
green. the two versions are the same.
5. Select the packages you want to update (i advise only one or two each time) and then click copy packages.
6. browse to your .erv file you want to update with the new package versions. if you do this my updater will add the lines to the end of the .erv file and you won't have to enable the new version of the package when it has been updated.
7. click copy packages. packages that turn green have been updated.
8. open up Ervius visual Kitchen and then open up your .erv file. go ahead and cook your rom!.
Image comparer.
In 1.3 i have added an image comparer. It will take a folder of images and try and find images of the same name in your kitchen. hopefully this can help you update your kitchen images. Or atleast have a visual inspection of where images come from. The filter will limit the datagrid to only those images where the filename matches the filter (the filter isnt on the directory).

Did you upload the correct file? I tried to run it but I could never get to the similar screenshot as you showed. The app's title is only "50chickens Kitchen Uploader" and not "50chickens Ervius Kitchen Uploader", and worse it is not functioning.

When importing the cab, it presumes that it's going to be used in a WWE or english version of WM. So it uses Program Files, Start Menu etc. instead of the how it's written in the language of the ROM. To make it easy for yourself, maybe it can be defined in an .INI file?

im not sure what you mean by other devices but you mean other HTC devices all you need to do is edit the combobox where it says blackstone to whatever youre device codename is eg leo, kaiser, hermes etc.

Hey, using Windows XP it works perfectly fine. However, using Windows 7, which I'm using to build the ROM, I can't import any cabs anymore. It crashes immediatly with a error-popup that's coming from .Net. I could get you a screenshot if you wish, however the text that appears will be in dutch as is my Windows 7. Would it be of any help?

Hey, using Windows XP it works perfectly fine. However, using Windows 7, which I'm using to build the ROM, I can't import any cabs anymore. It crashes immediatly with a error-popup that's coming from .Net. I could get you a screenshot if you wish, however the text that appears will be in dutch as is my Windows 7. Would it be of any help?

try and right click -> run as administrator. but yeah, a screeny will help.

ok.. i get the same prob on my win7 box. so i think it's a prob with building on xp. let me rebuild it on win7 later (going to work now). i've reposted 1.11 in the mean time.. sorry about that!!!

yeah for some reason when i build it under xp it has problem loading cablib.dll under win7. probably some oddball win7 .net permissions thing i can't cater for on xp. looks like i can only make release builds at home

How to flash my custom ROM's to b7350?
FLASHING INSTRUCTIONS OF CUSTOM ROMS FOR B7350 V.1
Must have before flashing:
1. You will need only THIS flasher program. (Notice that flasher is patched against cheksum and other samsung protection and do not try to flash PHONE or BOOT files via this loader to avoid unexpected problems).
2. Also this PHONE bin part or another from this device (to enable other fields in flasher)
3. Only this dummy CSC part.
4. Any Langpack.lp0 (if you dont have here is one)
4. PDA image file of custom firmware(post 1)
How to flash:
For first time open loader and choise Model: "Orsay" in "PHONE" section -> choise phone part.bin
1. Choise in "PDA" section custom ROm(nb0). "CSC" field -Dummy CSC. "LangPAck" field -Langpack file lp0.
2. In "download mode" tick on only "PDA", "CSC", "Langpack" (Important "Boot", "Phone boot", "Phone" and other must keep unticked!!!)
4. Switch off device and disconnect from PC. Hold "Volume down"+"Lock"+"Power on" buttons till Downloading mode will appear. Now connect to PC.
If device is connected youl see green bar in flasher.
3. Press Start. Downloader asks you to reformat partitions- press Yes.
After updating phone reboots and shows error during lang customisation -its ok! When screen goes off- reinsert battery and power phone up again.

First of all, thank you for your work. I never thought I see a customised ROM for Omnia 4. Still, before I try it, can you tell me what are the advantages of this ROM besides some removed apps and more free RAM. Is it speedier? Thanks.

yes its far quicklier/ classic windows GUI with Start on top!
Any chances to preserve Samsung Home in a future ROM version? I kind of like it, I can put all my shortcuts there.
you can use wm titanium - its quicklier, smoother and has wonderful tool HSC (Home screen cutomizer 1.51)incl in this rom that includes shortcuts, weather and other usefull plugins for titanium. Samsung home is a garbage circa 5-6 mb of file space and memory.

NOTHING!!!!Boot image is bootloader image. Dont touch it, instead you are flashing official rom with non cracked flasher
Choise only "pda" csc" and "lang" images also tick on "pda.csc.lang" rest remain unticked.
If pda/csc/lang is corrupt during flashing or some other reason, you can always reflash. If you corrupt with PHONE/Boot downloading -will be just a bricked device after.
Sorry for the noob question, but at first, I didn't have the "start" button active. After i reconnected the phone it worked. Thanks.

Im trying to patch flasher to avoid flashing of other sections by assident
Russian version is already 4 days old. There is nothing dangerous in those roms. Friend is running english version for 2 days so far no problems.
Personally, me was using this device only for rom cooking. I dont own omnia 4, i still have old best i780!
BTW from i780 and "brothers" i took some useful software that is applied to new rom.

some programs/settings are not fully compatible but that's ok.
i have one small issue: when i change background image, the lockscreen image doesn't change. who can i overcome that?

Im not sure if its normally in wm 651, but if it doesnt appear after softreset than its so. Im using wm 653 on i780 now.
Running the rom for a few hours. So far, it works perfect, it seems a little faster than with the stock rom. I use SPB Mobile Shell and this is a little faster too. I like the fact that I can configure windows button (long press action) and also that I can get rid of auto correct features (that work only on english anyway).
The problem with EBoot was my fault, I just couldn't click on "Start" with no eboot image loaded, but after I restarted the phone everything worked as it should.
All in all, great first rom for our Omnia 4 phone, Heineken, keep up the good work

Have you discovered any serious bugs?
Heineken, no serious bugs so far but I noticed that when I answer a call it takes around a second between the time I press the Answer button and the moment I hear the caller. I don't know if this is because of the ROM or this is just the way this phone behaves. But, I didn't noticed that earlier. Also, after I restart the phone, I receive a message "The file InitHomeDown cannot be opened". It's not a real problem, because after I close this window, everything works as it should.
I'm still happy with this rom, as I said no major problems so far.
