My Htc Dash Is Dead!!!!!!!!!!! - HTC Excalibur

hi everyone,
i've got this problem for a while, you see i got this DASH from my cousin who sent it to me and told me to buy a new battery because thew old one was crash so i bought one on ebay and it arrived a few days ago.
but the battery has 3.7v so its full but the phone doesn't seem to turn on, it won't turn on. don't have idea of what going on.
even while charging it doesn't show signal of being alive, neither the screen nor the led turn on.
if anybody has any idea
I paid US$18.00 for the battery and the battery cover....cheap
you know that can be the problem because after i received the battery I went to a cell phone store in order to get a charger but when the guy plugged in the phone it doesn't show anything, neither led nor screen went on. then he used a charger without pins so he could charge the battery directly ahd so he did. I didn't pay attention to the fact that it hadn't passed 5 minutes when the battery was at 3.7v from supposedly be new without any charge.... .
CLARIFYING DOUBTS::::::
First of all I live in Dominican Republic
Second of all is that my phone doesn't work, doesn't turn on. My cousin in USA sent it to me last week but it hasn't battery, so I ordered one at Ebay. And When a tried to turn my cell phone on it didn't work, it didn't turn on...Even when the battery is charged..Full.... Sad Crying or Very sad
While charging cell phones normally either turn the Screen On or turn the lights/Led on showing that is charging, What my phone doesn't do...
Summarizing It won't turn on
PD: The Phone is new, it has no more than a month used...
I hope you understand better now..
Thanks
help help help

and also i used a multimeter in order to measure the battery power while charging and turning the cell on. when charging it was ascending but (unplugged) when i tried to turn it on the level of the battery descended quickly from 3.6v to 1.3 and lower rate......just because i was trying to turn it on.....
ANYBODY KNOW WHATS GOING ON??????
HELP!!!

Re: My PDA2K Died

Re: My PDA2K Died
Rip:
Was working like a champ had to replace the battery about 3 weeks ago and then today about mid day it died no apparrent reason.
I went to turn the display o to get some information like I did how many times since October of 2004 and that was it.
I tried to charge it and the only thing happens that the yellow light is now the Color Red and it charges and does not turn on.
Has anyone ever had this happen?
I should get it fixed I wonder what it would cost? I'm in the USA and where would I send it? I sent Pocket PC Techs an Email and they never responded, I guess these guys don't want fix it.
I had a similar problem once where the phone was on charge the red light would stay on for a long time, then the phone would boot up for a second before going back to red.
I thought it was the battery so I brought a new extended one, that worked. But when I put the old battery on charge through the O2 XDA IIs cradle NOT phone. The battery sprang back to life. In fact I am still using the OLD battery
It seems the phone acts all weird when the batteries get severely drained, I'd try charging the battery on the cradle through the mains adapter without the phone, then put it in the phone with the mains adapter plugged in.
Or it may be caused by bad battery

Help! Tilt 2 Battery

Hi, I accidentally drop my tilt 2 on the ground. So the battery just went out and fall on the snow. After i wiped out water on both battery and the phone, I plug in the battery, turn on my phone.
before I dropped the phone, there should be like 70% if battery. However, I only got 1% of the battery at that time.
When I try to charge it use wall charger, the phone says it can't charge the phone. I should use the designed battery from manufacture. However, the battery i'm using is the one just come with the phone!
then I tried to restart the phone to see if that would help, then My phone can't start anymore. the best situation is it will display the AT&T logo with like radio version, etc those information, and then turned into black screen.
For most of the time, it just doesn't respond.
What can I do? If I buy a new battery on ebay or somewhere, will that help?
Thanks a lot

HELP! HTC Desire issues

ok guys, I have a HTC Desire, been using it about 2 months now after HTC sent me a new one . but anyway now I'm in a bit of trouble with it. I plugged it in over night like I usually do to find it perfectly fully charged and ready for its days work. However today was different. I found my phone to still have the orange light on and found this a bit strange, and what added to it was that my phone had not charged AT ALL from last night, but had not decreased in battery either. So I decided to restart the phone, and now it doesn't want to charge or switch on. However if I take out the battery and plug the phone in, the red and green LED's flicker like usual when the battery is not inserted. Any diagnostics anybody? I think my battery died but I don't want to spend £35 on a new one if the phones broken anyway..
symptoms [more in detail above]:
1 It didn't charge
2 after turning off, it didn't charge or turn on
3. if i take out battery, LED's flicker as normal
Never mind guys I found out it's broken, took it to the phone shop and tried a different battery and still didn't work, and mine did with another phone :'(

possible brick?

My friend gave me a lumia 900 that doesnt respond to any button combos/ or show a charging screen no matter what charger i use.. The phone is under warranty but i still would like to fix it rather than send it back to them.. It showed up once on my pc as nokia dload but i cant get it to do it again... i let the phone charge over night and when i took it off charge it still didnt respond and vibrated every second and a half.
Well i let it charge over night on my 700mah vharger and it boots to a white screen and shuts off now... Im gonna end up letting it charge on my brothers 1amp blackberry charger for a hour or 2. Any ideas if that will work. I think it has the battery drain brick....
Mine just did the same thing except my phone is 1 month past waranty...phone shut off when the battery was still half full...charged it over night...saw a white screen the next morning when i tried to turn it on then nothing...went to at&T today and they said i'm out of luck. Pretty poor i'd say.
well i got it to the point where the battery notification blinks when i plug it into the charger. where should i go from here. I honestly dont think the phones bricked. But i know nothing about windows phones
bump. I really dont feel like waiting for 2 weeks or more to get this phone back. Im trying to help my gf out and give it to her

[Q] Galaxy Nexus i9250 problem.

Hey everyone. I have huge problem with my Galaxy Nexus i9250 for few days now.
Let me start from beggining.
First it was showing charging symbol even if it ain't plugged in. Then it stopped after I cleaned charging port.
Few weeks back there were great floods in my region (Bosnia) and we were in lack of electricity so I started to charge it on a car charger and after it's completely charged (2h) as soon as I start to use it the battery goes off really fast, example, if I use it for let's say calls or even on "stand by" after 30mins the battery goes for like 40%. That's when problems started to begin. If it was turned off becuase of lack of battery I had to turn it on by pressing "Down volume + power" for first 2 times. Then I had to remove battery for few seconds then put it back not completely but I had to press the battery against those 4 pins which conduct electricity to a cell phone and press those two buttons for like 30 seconds to turn it on. Few days ago, I had same problem, but this time it wasnt empty on battery, it was in my pocked with almost 50% of battery when I took it and I saw it was off. Tried again that same proccedure, it turned on, showed recovery menu and it turned off. Ever since I can't turn it on, it charges, but it doesn't show charging indicator on my screen. When I put my battery in other phone it shows it's fully charged. I can't turn it on, my PC won't reconize it, let's say it's dead. I don't know what's happening, so I'm asking here if anyone knows what to do. Thanks to all.
sounds like a battery + charger issue

You must verify the voltage output of the car adapter you were using with the phone , remember that the fact it has a micro USB does not mean its designed to the specs of your phone, sounds like the battery went berserk after it was charged with that car adapter ... you should not tinker more with the phone and get a new battery and the original charger for it , if you can or are able to ...

Thank you Frank. I already tought nobody will reply to this. So you think if I buy new battery and charger cell phone will start to work?
Car charger was combined, USB cable from Nokia and car adapter is for let's say every cell phone. I have original Samsung Nexus wall charger I got with that cell phone and it charges the battery it just wont turn on the phone. Either PC doesnt want to reconize it, tried with Device Manager to see if is there anything but no. Thank you again for your reply.
Still no luck! Does anyone have something to suggest?
Hmmmm .... still would go for battery malfunction !

you say it charges the battery ? if you are able to see the white icon of the battery charging when the phone is off and you connect the charger , then it's definitely the phone battery .... replace it and lets hope it works out

No, I'm unable to see battery charging indicator. But when I lick the battery you can feel the electricity. Yea, it's stupid method but it does the job. And when I put it in another phone it says it's almost full 99% to be exact. So battery... Gonna buy a new one.

Alright, i have been sailing in the same boat, my i9250 has not been charging for quite some time.
Now for all most few months the phone is charging without any problem. I suspect the Google Search application could be the reason. I uninstalled all the Google Search application update and kept it to the one come by default. Since then i am able to charge my phone without any problem. The Google search version that i have is V 2.2.9.542574.
Try it out. All the best!!
