Excalibur support for SDHC

Anyone know whether the Exaclibur will support microSDHC? http://www.mymemory.co.uk/memory/SanDisk/4GB/Micro/SDHC/Card for example
anyone at all? Pls?
No according to the site you visited.
http://www.mymemory.co.uk/compatible-memory/Handheld_PC/HTC/HTC+S620
The fact that they do not have it there does not mean it is not supported. Even some SDHC devices are not listed as supporting SDHC on that site. Has anyone tried?
I'm just quoting the site when I say, "The largest TransFlash / MicroSD card you can use in your HTC S620 is 2048MB."
Go be the guinea pig if you like though.
No it does not support the new format.
Thank you Dan for the answer. Does anyone know if this is hardware or software (i.e. WM5 Smartphone Edition) limitation? If software, will WM6 Standard resolve that?

You must be a newbie, because only someone uneducated would say something like that. The purpose of this forum is for people to educate themselves on a certain topic through the process of asking questions and reading posts. By you calling someone a "prick," you undermine the whole system and, in fact, make yourself sound like a "prick." Please respect the forum rules and keep your itchy fingers away from the keyboard if you aren't going to say something with some merit.

Actually I have found some new evidence that may lead more to the Dash/Excalibur to supporting SDHC. Look at what I found here...

JAmerican
I have the Hermes also...and the cooked WM6 rom all support SDHC. It was an OS modification on the Hermes to make it read the SDHC....not hardware.
If someone know one of the Hermes chef...he might can cook up a new WM6 for the Dash/Excalibur

Ok thanks for confirming. that's great news! well i hope the registry section/fixed posted by JAmerican would let the Dash support SDHC.
My Excalibur runs ookba`s wm6.5 rom v 2.5 and it is currently recognising and SDHC card of 8 GB.
Hi All
I have Kingston 8GB SDHC, works fine running Ookab 3VO.2.80.092509
This thread is from 2007 every 6.1 ROM "even some 6's" take 8GB and even 16GB, many threads discuss this.

I have tried a 16gb sdhc in my dsh and it read it but not with the t-mobile rom i'm using the htc brightpoint rom in mine

Any new SDHC.cab for WM5 ?

Dear All,
I have 8GB Class 6 card, can read in WM6, but WM6 currently dont have video call, so i decided to use WM5. Problem is can't read my SDHC card, use Team777 V2 to install also can read.
Any guys of you can provide the latest SDHC 8GB support cab ?
Thanks in advance...
Sadly no.
Most SDHC can read in WM5 is 4GB. I am trying to find a solution to this problem, but not stumbled on it yet.
Sorry.

What if it is not SDHC... SD 4GB only...

problem 4bg not 8
if you find the new file sdhc do you put him/it?also to me with wm5 reads 4gb instead of 8
Seems I was the only one working on a 100% solution that doesn't break all the int22 that wrecks the wifi and other stuff.
I have abandoned all my XDA projects.
sorry.

Yes, really sorry to hear that. You did some great job, PD!
I hope you can see you have some great qualities on this field, even if you don't make any more images.
And thanks for still staying around!
Thanks for your kind words. I like to keep my finger on the pulse as this is a hobby that moves forward on a daily basis so you need to keep up with what is going on.
Who knows? When other (non XDA) WinCE projects are completed I may have some answers along the way. If I do I will share. That I promise.

That's not right.
You need bepe's fix or a ROM with bepe's fix in order to make the SDHC work.
You didn't search for the answer, so I'm going to tell you something you can search for in this forum.
There's a .cab (WM installation) file which you can use to make SDHC work on your device.
I am sorry you think that I am wrong, However, I can assure you I do have a HTC as supplied ROM running WM6 it is not a "Bepe" sepcial not did I have to install the CAB file it simply works ROM is 3,13,405,1 WWE dated 08/28/07 - Mike
Don't give information that has 0,00001% chance to work.
Just read the older SDHC topics in this forum.
e.g.: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=310456&highlight=sdhc

Some people say they got a non-standard 4 GB non-micro-SDHC card. If it's NOT a SDHC card it will work in WM5 and WM6 regardless of any SDHC patch. Since you didn't say anything about that your information about your pda is probably true. Most people will buy SDHC cards (without knowing what that means) and therefore TryOG is right.
here ya go.
No need to start arguements and discussions over something when all they asked was for a bit of help. We were all quite new once, and sometimes forgot / neglected to use / or didnt know about the search feature.
So, whats the max capacity for a SDHC card for use in the Artemis? I've seen some on www.mymemory.co.uk which go up to 16gig! ! !
fubofo = PM me an email addy that you have linked to Paypal (if you use Paypal!) and I will buy you a couple pints as promised.
very thank you
i bought a 4 gb micro cd this morning but it's doesn´t work ,after apply the cab every fine.
i have a artemis with wm6
thena for the help.
long life to the forum
Just for information: I set up balck and blue 5 on my spv m650 and kingston 4GB sdhc works fine, without any modifications.
I used to frequent this forum a lot a few years ago when I had an O2 XDA II. It was great, lot's of helpful friendly people and a lot of fun too as we tried different things with ROM's etc.
Last couple of years though I moved to a Blackberry which was issued as part of my kit when I changed jobs. No PPC so I didn't view the forum for a long time.
Last month however I changed jobs again, handed in the Blackberry and bought myself a Dopod P800W returning to the PPC platform.
Thought I also return to the old haunt, ask a few questions and learn a bit more about the Dopod unit and what has happened in the filed of PPC's while I was away.
Well folks I can tell you the forum has changed. In reviewing the posts I was amazed at the number of times people answer a simple question with a somewhat aggressive response of "you haven't searched the forum!" type comment.
I posted some questions about my Dopod and though over 60 people read it, no one, not one person offered an answer.
So my advice is lighten up a bit and enjoy the interaction of sharing with people. We can all use a hand every now and then, who knows you may even make some friends.
It Works for me !!!
i faced the same issue of 4 GB card not getting recognized in my new P3300 (whereas the seller told me that it supports 4 GB). Anyways thanks a millon tons !!! for the cab. My P3300 now is recognizing the micro SDHC card. And yes , i am using Sandisk MicroSDHC card.
4GB Card
Hi .. I have a P3300 with WM5. Will this accept a 4GB SDHC card ? i tried the patch spoken about earlier, but i guess its only for WM6. I lost access to my Storage Card completely ...... even the old one

one of my senoir in office using o2 XDA with WM6 and have tried using this SDHC thing but could not make it work.. i think its not just OS dependent, it also depends on the ppc hardware. whether the mobile slot supports that or not matters i guess

I agree mate, its changed a lot since the good old days and whilst collectively there is a lot more help out here many of the people feel its below them or something, i think the problem is two fold, firstly free loaders that take everything and offer nothing, like not even responding to your question, secondly there are so many more people on here now i think its became to big which is partly why people just say search the forums, i think its a shame its got this way but as they say, evolution doesnt always equal positive progress.

upgrade my Qtek 9000 - to 128 MB

Hi,
I would like to upgrade my Qtek 9000 (AKA HTC Universal) and put in it 128 MB. Can someone give to me a company that is reliable? What is the normal price to do it ? What are the cooked ROMs that support 128 MB? Which is the most stable?
Thank you!
Hi,
I believe you will have more luck if you ask questions related to Qtek 9000 on the Universal forum...
By the way, for this question there are already some very interesting (and full of information!) threads on those forums. It might be useful if you spend some time reading them.
Regards,
P.
