Runnin new windows media built in wm6 and whenever i play a .mp3 or .avi or really any file in media play i get an error claiming 'Not enough storage is availble to complete this operation'
So i check on storage and all is well more than enough i believe. i even use Oxis closeapps and hibernate to clear it up more and close all programs but still same error.
The files work fine in Audio Manager

Hi all, I'm a noob here, so please forgive me if I posted in the wrong forums.
I just updated my three-month-old 838Pro to Windows Mobile 6 this morning using the official HTC Dopod SEA update image, and was already met with a flurry of problems.
Problem #1: TCPMP can't seem to find the necessary dlls to support Windows Media movies anymore. Any attempt to open them in TCPMP is met with a Audio/video codec not supported by the player error. They open fine in Windows Media Player, however. I was also having problems with the FLV extensions earlier, but the problem has since mysteriously went away after I warm reset it. The codec issue still persists.
Problem #2: The Streaming Player doesn't seem to want to work anymore. I can't tune into my telco's streaming TV channels (which I pay some $1.50 a month for access to). Accessing the stream results in a "Media file type not supported" error. The streaming did work in Windows Media 5.
Problem #3: Installing RealPlayer 1.1 preview totally causes clicking on a RTSP link in Windows Media to do nothing. If I recall I never had this happen to me when I installed RealPlayer 1.1 on Windows Mobile 5 (I tried putting Real on thinking it will fix problem #2. Fat chance). I manage to circumvent the issue by installing the Streaming Player 2.10 cab I managed to dig out of somewhere online (now the theme fits, but still no dice in getting Streaming Video to cooperate).
Apart from that I noticed that the ATI ImageON driver issue with TCPMP has still went on unfixed.
Can anyone recommend me any solutions to the problem? Did something not get installed? Is it safe to roll back to Windows Mobile 5?
Again, I'm sorry if this is not the place to ask for help, but I'm seriously lost.
Thanks.
Well, what i did was just to install CorePlayer which is currently version 1.1.1 build 1600. Basically it plays all the files u need. u can go to www.coreplayer.com to find out more. Hope that helps.
Well, I just checked - Apparently CorePlayer has the exact same problem with Windows Mobile 6 on the device. Fixed it by googling around and finding this article about shoehorning some WMP9 libraries into the system. RealPlayer has been removed via a hard reset.
However, I failed to flash WM5 back in.
I also tried reflashing the device to see if it's caused by a dud flash - nope.
So, just have to figure out why it's not wanting to connect to the streaming TV channel, keep getting a "File media type not recognized" error. The stream works fine in WM5.
So, any other Malaysians here who's signed up with DiGi Mobile TV and has a Dopod 838Pro flashed with WM6 and experiencing the same thing?
Since today I have been getting an error message when I try to play any video on the windows media player. It says "no conbination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection".
What does this mean and what am I supposed to do. I have WM6 and it was working perfectly till yesterday ?
Any suggestions ?
hey guys
a total noob question . i got micro SD card for the TP2 and put the music in there using the device center ( using the sync function to put the music in the micro SD card). all the music files shows in the media player on the cell phone and runs too, but i can get anything on the Music Tab of th TouchFlow its saying No Music Found
am i missing something or doing something wrong :S
Did You perform a soft reset?
My experience of loading up 3 gig's worth of music onto the microSD card in my Kaiser (I use the stock WMplayer btw) was that NOTHING showed up in media player until I had manually updated the players library. Once that had been done, all songs could then be selected or indeed played with the player or using MSVC for 'ooohs' from friends. I would guess theres a similar library/scanning function in the HTC supplied media player if you use that, but dont have a clue where!
hope this helps

i'm having the same problem. only 3 albums out of 50 or so appear in the tf3d tab even though all are in the windows media app
hmm, i think i mightve figured it out. the tab only shows whats "currently playing," ie the current playlist. all of my songs show up when i touch "library." i think i'll be trying out some other media players, this is kind of cumbersome
Touch Pro 2/Tilt 2 with AT&T: I get a LOT of crashes, followed by the "white page of death" (the offer to send the error report to Microsoft). This happens in a variety of music players except of course Windows Media Player. Most of the time, it seems to happen when I'm browsing songs by directory; I store my mp3 media on a storage card.
Any thoughts or anyone have similar issues? I suspect it's because some things just aren't ready for WM 6.5 but wanted to poll the experts on here.
I have the stock AT&T rom minus the crap (CrapScraper), and some registry tweaks from this site for network speed enhancement and a couple minor things.
I've had no such trouble, but just for giggles, see if you have the same poblems playing files from the internal memory. I have a car stereo that can play files from USB media, and it would disconnect and crash back to the main menu when it came across problems with the SD filesystem.
I also have the same problem here.
All the players crash except for "Windows Media Player".
I still have the stock rom and i've tryed with a SD-Card of 4GB and also with one of 16GB.
I've get the most stable results after i deleted all the "AlbumArt" files, but it didn't solve the problem.
P.S.: i've also tryed formating the storage card!
I use PocketMusic and have used it for years. Works perfect for me - and works the way I do: I have my music divided up by folder to segment my variety of musical tastes. If you use WinAmp, this will feel just about the same (in fact, it uses a ton of WinAmp skins in WinAmp mode).
It does all the usual playlists too, so you can just play using those.

So my fuze bricked on me several months back and I bought a tilt 2. Been using it mostly for audio books at work, but recently wanted to switch back to listening to some streaming radio stations online, namely di.fm. Which I did just fine on my fuze, it saved an .asx file and I was able to open that straight into windows media player.
My tilt 2 won't recognize .asx files and won't stream for the life of it, anyone have any similar issues? I'm running stock rom with no touchflo.
Get TCPMP - it will play anything you throw at it
Get it from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5538008&postcount=694
In case you dont know how to use it, just copy any .cab file to the device or storage card, go to the location with file explorer and click on it. It will install.
Follow the instructions on that thread regarding settings, and also, make sure you go into the 'file types' settings and make it default for .asx, .avi, .aac, etc.
I would not let it play .m4v though, as the built-in player by HTC does a better job of playing those than TCPMP does, due to direct hardware support. It will play full-sized xvid movies commonly found in torrents (the ones made to fit on a standard cd, about 700mb) without messing with them pretty well - not perfect, but OK.
Also, if you're into it, check my radio station:
http://www.subterran.us
you will see the link..
Cheers!
Fair enough, had forgotten about that prog for a while, hadn't had need to use it since I had my blackjack 2. Thanks!
