Unless you tell us your specific needs - nobody can tell you which ROM is best suited for you.
Even if you did - it's a matter of taste - of what you do with your device the most - which features are most important to you etc.
[BETA] Trinity WM6 WWE | GER (Choose WWE for World Wide English) is from a great ROM cook - as is INDIGO_lite&full [08.07.2007 released] (Choose light if you want to install all of your own apps - choose Full if you want a bunch of apps pre-installed). Newer to the scene but both producing great ROMS are hellonasty with [NEW] MARY V2.0.2 IS OUT [10/09/07] and
[NEW] ROM Mary V2.0 IS OUT [05-09-2007] (Don't automatically assume that most recent is best - I find the V1.2 the most stable and bug free). Also new is udK with his [NEW] udK 5.1 ITA|WWE WM6 [09/09/2007] ROM which is reputed to be very good (haven't tried it yet - but have read lots, me about this one). PDAVIET ROMs are generally pretty good, also look at [WWE] Ultra Light ROM & Big Black ROM (OS 5.2.1620 Build 18125.0.4.2)-Vers.[06.09.07] by sammydeluxe - from what I've read they're not bad either. LVSW was one of the first (if not the first) cooks to bring us WM6 for Trinity.
So going with any of the above for an English Language ROM should be OK.
You need to read A LOT before you go ahead and choose which one - be aware of the downside of each ROM 9most have a couple of little bugs.
and once you flash - let us know which one you chose, why and what you like / don't like about it.
P.S. If I have forgotten anyone's ROM in the above - please forgive me. And a big-up to all our ROM chefs doing a wonderful job! Ta.

why not wiki ?
correct me if i'm wrong - but don't we have a wiki for that ?
this thread will get lost in a few weeks - the wiki stays where it is.
IMO it would be better to upgrade this different ROMs in the wiki-pages.
I'm just a little bit confused....

Pete - WIKI and Search indexes are things that only 'eeenteleegent' people use! It's difficult to get people on this forum to use basic search atleast if it's on the top - 'maybe - just maybe' they will read to see all the ROM's listed there and click!
Make this a sticky - else you wont find it anywhere in the next few weeks and will get lost totally!

where are the files which must be translated
I've followed the translation of the B&B v4.3 ROM a little bit and as far as I can remember it took about 3-4 weeks, starting with a team of more than 10 people, ending up with about 2-3 (?). It's not easy at all if you haven't done that before. Does any of you guys how to create a package, edit the ROM registry or can you even rebuild a ROM?
If not I'd recommend you not to make such a big fuss about that whole thing. Take the ROM builder from ppc-welt.de that DeepToneFN created. It's based on the German T-Mobile ROM and you can integrate packages in case you have any.
If you really translate the ROM there will be lots of bugs and people will ask you questions about it for weeks. If you have the gutts to do that we'll be happy to see this nice ROM in German!

Totally in agreement with you,but:
1. I've visited so many times this page and has never updated.
2. The table format reduces the comments or rankings possibilities. Limit the subject to be information instead of opinions, previews or rankings.
In my opinion if somebody wants to update the Trinity Upgrades wiki with new information, it will be better for us.
3. The prupouse of this thread is to show de "LIVE" projects currently in advance. The existent ones (or old) can be found in a lot of places.

2. Believe, this is not usefull information.Only by experiment the ROM you can have opinion. And usuallly one's opinion is always different of another.
3. But for this we can check the ROM thread itself.
My main issue is this:
We have "hundreds" of threads like yours (despite yours is the most organized I've seen), and usually they go... nowhere!

If everybody were like you, there wouldn't be cooked roms man!!!htc originals would be enough
Now seriously:
Really I'm not able to maintain it alone for a long time. Maybe is better a place to do it together.A place were everyone can collaborate.(New ideas are accepted).
You will agree with me that the actual format of "everyone posting his new rom" is not the best for comparing rom's.And the wiki table can show little information.(anyway we can update it).
Testing new ROM's every day,at least for me isn't a good option since I use my trinity as mobilphone, and all things must work perfect everyday.
The prupouse is that one can compare before installing. Read about the pros and cons of everyone.
The opinion doesn't have to be the mine.I invite to you and all people to collaborate with your experiences.

Hey everyone!
I think many people know my service, which i am offering to the community.
I build a Mirror Page for all your cooked Roms, where you can download them without any speedlimit, no waittime and no download limit.
Now the daily routine was that i have to check every thread if there are any new versions and then i have to download the Roms and reupload them to my mirror.
Now the idea was to offer every Rom developer the possibility to upload their Roms directly to my server.
I have realized this and christone, Sharks1979 and Alphazero tested it.
It works fine!
Now all other Rom developers can have an access to upload the files directly to the server! You only have to write me a short PM with the username and a password you like.
All others can download all Roms from here:

The mirror was used a lot the past 2 month and the community did traffic about 5 TB! This is a huge number but it shows me that people like my service!
Many people also donate cause offering u such a mirror costs some money and i hope if you like the service you will support me in future.

Al thought Having a Rom Roll Up Thread is a nice addition to the Diamond Forum.
Don't forget to always Also add your Freshly cooked ROM to the Wiki.
There is no need to Post ever minor Update, but significant Updates/Versions To you Last Rom should be enough. There's no need to have all your twenty versions listed in the Wiki.
So hopefully this thread will also be used to update the Wiki easier for those that have interest in doing so and helping the community to have a resourceful Wiki.
This thread will be in a test period for a month.
And this is not a Which Rom is better Thread.
There is already a good Unbiased thread based on Benchmarks for that.

For sure the new contracts are sometimes with unlimited traffic, but i have an very old contract and an other servertyp like the new one.
So don't talk about something you can't know.
And think about my free time i spend here every day to update the mirror and all the other stuff...

I was actually backing you up by asking Alex2308 for facts, as i looked at the service and saw no mention of Alex2308's statement.

As far as i could see Alex2308 was wrong in bringing this forward and the next time some one wants to start a discussion like this to think twice, to the research correctly and come to the table with facts, which he didn't.
