Storage location of mail and text messages - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

The search didn't help so i have come here.
Where can I find the storage location of Outlook mobile's messages (text and email). I dont want to lose my text messages everytime I install a new rom. Is there a file I can backup and place into my device's new rom?

You MUST get the latest version of Sprice Backup. You probably have version 2. You need at least Version 3.
This attachment will fix your problem about not being able to receive any SMS messages but will clear out your existing SMS messages (and possibly all of your e-mails too but I don't know).

Help Required for PIM restoration

Hi guys,
I am urgently seeking a help.
After upgrading/flashing to PDAMobiz_Dopod_P800W_AKU301_v1.1.2_PowerMap ROM, I am unable to restore PIM (contacts and calendar) information. I use Spb Backup for backing up. Though I was able to restore E-Mail (e-mail + SMS) from the same file. If I try to restore PIM info, I get some db error message and on top of that even cellular network is unavailable.
It seems that there is some difference in db structure for AKU 3.0 and 3.0.1 featured in the above ROM. I did though try to launch the file on my older WM2k3SE device but with no luck.
The issue is that I do not even have all the contacts and calendar on my Outlook (on the desktop), and as you can guess I am sitting empty with hundreds on contacts and calendar items lying in the backup file.
1. Is there anyone here to whom I can send the backup .exe file (created using Spb Backup app), so that he can launch it on his Artemis and then sync with clean Outlook and then export 2 files in .pst format (one for contacts and the other for calendar)
2. Or is there any other way to recover this information from the backup file that I have.
Someones assistance is required, as I am stuck. I will be highly thankful for any help.
The problem has been resolved thanks to user RAMBO29 here.
Well, few other gave me some tips as well .... tnx to them, too.

Backing up texts and contacts..

Does anyone know how to backup texts and contacts? So whenever I flash new firmware I can get them back?
Thanks in advance.
There is an app called sms backup & restore in the market. I use that.
And not sure about contacts because I just automatically download them from my gmail account when setting up the phone.

I use MyBackup Pro v2.3.4 (available from Marketplace) as it allows you to backup apk's/apk's and their data, and also things like Contacts, Calendar events, Bookmarks, SMS, alarm, etc. To use it, you will need root access.
Actually, you see, the problem is that I cannot download ANY apps from the marketplace. It stalls and keeps displaying the message "Starting download..". Hence why I am trying to back everything up and reinstall the ROM.
In settings, there is a backup option that saves all contact / texts onto the SD Card. anyone know where that file is located? I'll ever be grateful if someone can post this information. thanks.
EDIT: The option is in Settings > Privacy > Backup settings.

[Q] Sms Contact Backup

Hello
So i have finally decided to try out custom roms . But i need a way to migrate my sms, contacts and calender to the new rom without any compatibility issue
i know that google has contact calendar sync but i am guessing their are better ways to migrate all of them including sms at once
is their Any free app that can make this happen
thanks
not exactly sure what you mean by "sms contacts calendar" but here's what I do. My Contacts and Calendar are synced to my google account so as soon as I sign in on a new rom those are automatically synced up. As far as my actual sms messages I use a free app called "SMS Backup" that stores them as xml on the sdcard. So just install the app on the rom and then restore.
Hope that helps.
thanks for the reply and sorry for the confusion, have edited the post . i am looking for an all in one app that can do all the the three task at once. i have seen some backup application but they also backup settings and other things. i think that will create compatibility issue
SMS - "SMS Backup & Restore" from the market
Contacts - People App > Menu > Export > Export To SD Card
Calendar - Sync with Google
My Backup Pro can backup and restore selected items. All you need is to tick the box before SMS, MMS, Contacts and Calendar when performing a backup and then do the same when restoring. I think that would be your one-click app you are looking for.

SMS backup problems

Whenever I am trying to restore my SMS file, the programs crash after importing around 400 sms, or dont work at all. Total number of smsm 6500
So far, "SMS to text" crashes after 400+ imports, same as "SMS Backup and restore"
The restore app included in WTS wont work at all.
I had the same problem even before opening the bootloader. Those backup files where generated from their respective programs after importing them.
By splitting the files to smaller ones I am able to keep importing but the import number keeps droping. The last ones have to be around 100 sms per file so as for the up not to forceclose
WTF???????????? I dont wont to have to resplit and reimport 50 or so files
I have the "master" backup files in both xls (SMS Backup and restore) and txt SMS to text
Any ideas, kindly accepted
EDIT
Found the solution, but I dont like it
I wiped out my system, installed SMS Backup and restore and my contacts only and was able to import all messages in 1 go. That said, when I was trying before to import all sms I had 32MB free memory. Exactly how much memory do these programs need to import 6500 sms. 32MB should be more than enough in the first place.
Not tested it, but I assume that after wiping out the device the other programs should work too *sigh*
So whats the moral lesson? import sms before installing anything else.
