[NEW] vivi PDAMobiz ROM Kitchen for ASUS P525 WM 6.1 and mrtoto tool.[OS 5.2.19588]

Hi, all my friends,
As requested, I create new ROM Kitchen for our ASUS P525 with mrtoto nb0 tool.
This ROM Kitchen comes with SYS 5.2.19588 from hTC Diamond.
OEM from ASUS WM5 with modified a lot by Alex[DFR] or sp3dev , included with Alex[DFR] OEM_GSM_Fix , sorg_Wifi_fix and DaLiV Bluetooth drivers from DaLiV ROM.

Requirements :
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package
(for bepe BuildOS.exe to run.)
How to use ROM Kitchen :
Very Easy , just click Build_ROM.cmd and follow on screen guide.
Don't close that guide DOS window until you see the word
"CONGRATULATIONS"
and see ROMGalaxy.nb0 at the root of ROM Kitchen.

mrtoto tools can run, but cannot build nbo.. (error imgfs not found).. emph.. dont know why??
i like mobiz 8, just want to try normal cpu clock (416), why? i suspect my p525 cannot run at 520mhz, because i already using mobiz3 for 1 month and everything ok.. but one day.. my device shutdown by itself. some time it shutdown during using it.. sometime during sleep mode. but this not happen if i using external power.. i try your mobiz 8 run at 520, some time it going to sleep during i using it (eg: write sms). help me if there any other way to downclock back to normal cpu clock...

You have to install

another problem.. hai yaa...
after press build nbo.. wait.. then imgfs tool run.. then close..
then i get notice " imgfs not found" .. (i close this notice windows) then it says
" ROM.NB0 complete".. ( i close nbo cook program)
then i wait.. the batch files return error.. "cannot complete..." (i forgot the complete error text)
did u think i miss some step?
can u give me another simple way just to downclock my cpu speed to 416mhz.
or did u think my device likely to turn off because i compatible software.. i already run it normal for more than one month mobiz3 (after install every software i need) then one day, my device start to shutdown by itself.. then i upgrade to mobiz 8, look improve bit better, it still shutdown by itself, but not very frequently like before.
help me vivi.. i has no idea at all.

i try to follow each step from start to end. but something i dont understand
1. where i must put the mobiz 8 original rom? can i put in any folder or must same folder rk tool?
2. dump to imgfs is run.. but i dont know where it put the imgfs.bin? because each time i repeat the step, i get the same notice " ..../imgfs.bin not found"
3. can this tools run in windows xp and fat32 files system. ( this tools run on my drive d is fat32, and operating system on drive c is ntfs

7. xip -->click "extract", when finish.. i change cpu speed, then click "pack image"
8. click build NBO
9. new cmd prompt appear, just wait until close
10. then massage --> imgfs finish (not show size created like vivi print screen)
11. then error massage windows popup --> d:\pocketpc\vivi5.0\imgfs.bin not found
12. close the error massage windows popup.
13. then massage --> ROM.NB0 complete
14. i close the mrtoto tools.
15. i wait.. then another error massage apear.. operation cannot complete..<-- i not sure the exact error.. but cannot finish..

1st mistake !!!!
Don't use original mobiz8
In ROM folder , there is Rom.tpl (ROM Template) and it will be copied to TOOLS folder and renamed automatically to ROMGalaxy.nb0 by the command.

2nd mistake !!!!!
Browse to ROMGalaxy.nb0 which is renamed automatically from Rom.tpl.
It means "browse to D:\pocketpc\vivi5.0\TOOLS\ROMgalaxy.nb0"
This mistake will not occur if you just install my RK and click build_Rom.cmd only , I've told you in the 1st post !!!! .

Please help me a little bit:
I think I mess up something...
I would like just to insert some oem's in my favorite rom, so I do the followings:
Extract vivi5 in a folder, I get 4 folders OEM, SYS, ROM, TOOLS) and a file (Build_ROM.cmd), than I put som OEM's (downed from xda-dev, like today agenda, pim backup, so on..) in the OEM folder, I put my favorite rom (*.nb0) in the tools folder, than:
1. double click on build_ROM
2. thick the desired oem's and click arrow (run), after it finishes I close the buildos (X)
3. DOS win appears, chose to not create backup
4. NBOkitchen.exe opens.. enter password (mrtoto)
5. click "load rom" button.
6. browse to *.nbo, all the rom info are listed. Good...
AND here is my problem: I have two possibilities "Extract Image" in the XIP box and "Extract" in the Imgfs box ?! Which one needs to be pressed ?? This is my dilemma...
7.after it I suppose that I need to change cpu speed, ROM size or whatever I want, then click on "pack image" in XIP box
8. click build NBO wait until everything is OK then I close theNBOkitchen
9. then I receivemy new rom GalaxyII.nbo

Creating own Diamond kitchen....

I have finally managed to dump my rom of my TD. My main goal is to create a rom which is personalised for myself with cab files like WIMP, TT, SPB Time etc... programs i bought for my TC.
Now i have 4 .raw files and decided to download the Diamond Kitchen. After download i got a "kitchen" but with the parts from the Diamond rom which ofcourse i don't need.
I have read alot of WIKI pages, but i cannot find a tutorial how to create an own rom with personalised cab files.
What i have done:
1- created .raw files of my current rom 1.37.405.1 WWE
2- Downloaded the original rom of 1.37.405.1 WWE from HTC
3- Downloaded the Diamond kitchen here http://rapidshare.com/files/124999979/Diamond_HH_RomKitchen.part1.rar and http://rapidshare.com/files/125003993/Diamond_HH_RomKitchen.part2.rar (credits goes to caxio)

In the OEM map i have lots of tools. My guess these are the tools which are going to be installed after a hard reset.
In the ROM map i have a XIP map and a OS.NB.payload file
In the SYS map i have a kinds of dll maps
And in the TOOLS map i have a lot of tools
My first question about this is...how can i extract the files from my dumped rom for the OEM, ROM and SYS maps?

use tadzio tools for dump it

i have used for rebuild italian rom

I have taken a Kaiser kitchen, edited the htcrt.ini, placed RUU_signed.nbh .raw01 and .raw02 in the baseRom folderand pushed on !BEGIN.cmd
Let found out what happens....at first it created errors, but after that it began to make OS.nb etc...

At this moment i am at the HTC rom tool...everything looks ok for now
Is this ok?

what i dont understand is why you are bother to extract .RAW from your device?
you can extract it from the available ROM (maybe using kaiser kitchen from alex), and cook it the way you like it, and repack again using that chinese kitchen...

Hmm, never thought of that indeed. But as far as i could see when i place the raw01 and raw02 files in the baseRom map, it automatically extract the raw files. And i dont know how to do it with the original rom.

you can extract the original rom and maybe some custom rom using existing kitchen... and with a few clicks you will get OEM, SYS and ROM (with XIP inside) folders...

Ok, what i have done so far is:
placed RUU_signed raw01 & raw02 in the BaseRom
Pushed !BEGIN.cmd and everything is running.
At the HTC rom tool i have selected the OS-new.nb file and created a new RUU_signed.nbh
So for now everything looks fine. But the now the main goal. Creating a personalized ROM with my own cab files and programs.
Before i push !COOK.cmd i can play with the programs i guess in the OEM folder. But is there a tutorial how to add programs to the OEM folder? Or ofcourse deleting it?

If you want to add apps to the rom you must convert your cabs to a socalled OEM package.
This package contains all files that need to be installed(*.exe,images and such), a file called "initflashfiles.txt"(unicode) that tells the buildOS where to put the files, and at last an .RGU file that contains registry settings for the programme.
A tool that can do this is called : Ervius Package Creator
Simply open the tool and open a cab file, then convert it to oem and there you go, your own oem file.
Then place the folder into the folder OEM and youre ready to go.

I have downloaded the kaiser kitchen, but in the whole process no Ervius Package_Tools comes up. Also the dos prompt at the start is different.
That is why i ask here, cause the tutorial isnt updated anymore for the latest kaiser kitchen

I'm using the kaiser kitchen for almost a week now, so yes it will repack it good for the diamond as I flashed a lot of ROMS with my personal (created) OEM package's trying to amke them integrated into my personal rom.
In Kaiser Kitchen u can choose: <p> create a oem package

be sure the kitchen is in the root of your drive(like C:\Kaiser ) otherwise file names could be to long.

Rom Creation steps:
Your completed kitchen folder should have:
SYS Folder (Download from post 2)
OEM Folder (Included in kitchen on post 1)
ROM Folder (Download from post 2)
Tools Folder (Included in kitchen on post 1)
.BAT file for running build os (Included in kitchen on post 1)
- Edit: mxipupdate_zzPIED_100.provxml in OEM\OEMVERSION folder to put rom information.
- Edit: initflashfiles.dat in OEM_Lang_0409 folder to set directory structures and some shortcuts and folders.
- To set your custom boot screen replace: SYS\Base_Lang_0409_DPI_96_RESH_240_RESV_320\welcomehead.96.png
- To set background set SYS\base_dpi_96_resh_240_resv_320\Default_stwater_240_320.gif
- To Create Final Rom!! - After all oem's are added into oem folder run BuildNB.bat in kitchen folder.
- To set rom date:
Hex Edit os-new.nb file before creating nbh and search 2007 in nb file and set according date in first two places that come up.
Sys and ROM is your build for Windows Mobile. Technicall you can mix different rom and sys folders, I.E. ROm from 19213 and SYS from 20753. OEM is the drivers and various add ons.

How can you difference a module from a file... easy... module is a .dll or an .exe or some images but transformed to files like S000 or similar names, why to convert a file to a Module..? thats because the modules exist cause they are stored in other partition of the NAND memory of our devices... to run faster and get some more RAM or storage to dispose.
in some posts before this I wrote one, where we have said wich folders from the SYS can be deleted and dont makes issues at boot. check it!

When to use OEM and when to use EXT:
OK, the OEM folder wil be processed always! so here you will add the changes that you wish to the UI of the OS... some drivers... and the addons... this cant be skiped!
the EXT folder always will be processed but:
WHe you set on the .bat file Premium... Basic... Vanilla... all the ext packages must to have this files inside "_only_Premium" "_only_Basic" "_only_Vanilla" and the kitchen will recognize wich apps must be on Basic Premiun or Vanilla if you palce two or three files... you indicates to the Kitchen that the app must be installed on whatever build you will do.
This file can be created like this:
Make a new txt file and name it as you wish "_only_XXXXX" (XXX for the build flavor you want) inside you must to type the word "TRUE" without the quotes of course.... then save it... and erase its file extension it will say are you sure! the file could be inservible or something like that.
How to control the initial customization or setup to run the cabs:
well, if you go to this address
C:\HERMES_21222\OEM\COMMON
you will find this folder "OEMOPERATORS" inside you will find all the cabs taht will be installed after the first boot or HR, how to change them?
easy... as the SD config... there is a file called config.txt so... change the values or add a new one with the new cab you wish to install.
Insert inside the folder OEMOPERATORS the cab you want and make it HIDE on file properties to hide it on the windows folder
how to change the default cantact manager?
well the contact manager we use in this Kitchen is stored on the EXT packages find it... and change the "_only_premium" file to "_skip" and this contact manager shouldnt be installed... but remmember to add the default one in OEM or EXT, this depends on wich you find or you can made from a cab to OEM or from the OEM to EXT, there are tools that can help you make this and some tutorials here on XDA that teachs you how to do it...
The sip can be changed too in EXT just found the skin there ina folder and change the file to _skip and add your new sip collor... or get another sip and add it as EXT or OEM.
If everything is ok... run the .bat and wait a little.

I just downloaded myself and extracted fine..
may need to put at root c:\ directory to extract due to file paths being too long.

1 Kitchen folder is were everything goes.
REQUIRED
Kitchen folder should have:
SYS
OEM
ROM
Tools
.BAT file for running build os
Sys and ROM is your build for Windows Mobile. Technicall you can mix different rom and sys folders, I.E. ROm from 19213 and SYS from 20753. OEM is the drivers and various add ons.
Edit:: Kitchen attached on post 1 comes with working oem folder already.
Please keep the questions coming as i can add to post 1 and 2 to better explain the process. Also anything i can do to help, let me know.

ok so say i download a oem app extract it do i just put it in the oem folder and say i wish to remove net 3.5 would i just delete the folder out of the sys folder thanx.

TRINITY kitchen WM 6.5 Build 21221 WWE + Trinity OEM packages

An easy and step by step tutorial of how to cook your own ROM for your Trinity using attached kitchen at the bottom of the post.
This kitchen uses Ervius and bebe work so I would like to thank them and all credits should go to them
for this great cooking tools (let me know if by mistake I forgot other guys).
This is a brief description of what you will find in the kitchen and how to use it.
OEM

I used last WM6 official Trinity ROM to extract Trinity OEM packages (a lot of work to create those packages as
you find them on new devices). You may find all this packages in OEM_Trinity folder.
OEM folder contains Trinity original drivers, Trinity camera and a few Trinity packages that must be there
because new versions of those packages found on new devices are incompatible with Trinity drivers.
My advice is to always include the following Trinity packages in OEM folder:

2.a Exceptions are mHubVO and VersionInfo: you have to include both of them (Trinity and new
device versions) in order to have Camera and other applications (eg: YouTube) functional.
3. DO NOT USE new device PhoneCanvans package as is not compatible with Trinity.
My current configuration uses packages from Jade device (look in OEM folder).
SYS

For new builds of WM please use the same structure of folders as you find it already in the
kitchen (eg. SYS\21215).
ROM

Use tool in Ervius kitchen to port new XIP to Trinity.
HOW TO PORT new XIP
----------------------------
1. Clean (erase all files and folders) Tools\XIP_new_ported folder
2. Clean Tools\xip.bin_old folder except *.bin files
3. Clean Tools\xip.bin_new folder except *.bin files
4. Copy new xip.bin file to Tools\xip.bin_new folder (overwrite if needed)
5. Run Ervius kitchen and press Xipporterex & ROM button
6. In Xipporter window uncheck option "Change PP to MB [16]".
7. Press PortIT!!!
8. Check that new xip is found in ROM\SHARED and ROM\Trinity folders (eg: ROM\SHARED\21215, ROM\TRINITY\21215).
Sometime the Xipporter crashes (something related to Cert or PP patcher): just close the error window
and let the tool to continue. In the end will ask if you want to copy new ported Xip to ROM folder and
press YES.
RELEASE_TRINITY

Prepare ROM update utility depending on operating system you have installed on your machine:
1. Windows XP - copy content of RELEASE_TRINITY\Windows XP to RELEASE_TRINITY (overwrite any files there).
2. Windows Vista or Windows 7 - copy content of RELEASE_TRINITY\Windows Vista to RELEASE_TRINITY (overwrite any files there).
BUILDOS

1. Copy new OS folder to SYS (must have the same folder structure as SYS\21215,
if not you will have to creat it using 21215 as a template)
2. Add/remove packages you want from OEM (see OEM section for more details)
3. Port XIP (see ROM section for more details) (optional - only for new build)
4. Run Ervius kitchen (in Windows Vista or 7 you might have to run as administrator -> right click on
Erviuskitchen.exe file and choose "Run as Administrator")
5. In Ervius kitchen choose the device, language, Xip build, ROM dpi, ROM res and SYS build you want.
Eg:
DEVICE -> TRINITY
Language -> 0409
XIP Build -> 21215
ROM DPI -> 96
ROM RES -> dpi_96_resh_240_resv_320
SYS Build -> 21215
6. Modify Version ROM (by default: 2.0.00.00)
7. UNCHECK Real WM 6.5 AKU (with this option enabled new ROM won't boot).
8. Check LZX Compression to reduce the size of ROM (might have an inpact on performance 1-4% reported by
author) (optional)
8. Press Save ROM (optional)
9. Press Create ROM and wait for the process to finish (until ROMUpdateUtility appears on screen)
10. Follow the instructions and flash the device (DON'T FORGET to backup all data you need from
main memory otherwise you will loose that data for good).
11. Wait until device is flashed.

I have just discovered that the download is a "ruu_signed.nbh" file. I have never flashed from just a "ruu_signed.nbh" file.
I have used this method posted by Supersport:
"Use this Flash Utility attached. Unzip, then copy your RUU_Signed.nbh file to this folder and flash. I apologize, I don't know whose this is, but it works for me every time. I hope it works for you...

What ROM did you have on it before you flashed? One of Chanvis?

Also, if you have Olipro 1.20 Hard SPL installed, you could alternatively rename the ruu_signed.nbh to TRINIMG.nbh and copy to your SD Card. Then do a hard reset and it will flash from your SD Card.
For this to work, your SD Card must NOT be SDHC and must be formatted as Fat32.

Man, this is frustrating.... Zenga has flashed successfully, I've tried four times and end up with Start button and Task button not working... have you tried flashing it yet or are you avoiding the hassle?

I wasn't planning on it till I heard good news about it. Any idea if Titanium is still installed? I think it is due to WM 6.5 not working without it, but just curious.
That really is strange that yours will not flash as Zenga has.

Re-flashed "FInix_3_7_1_Light" and the buttons work as normal now.
I think I'll stick with that for now and wait until more people have tried flashing this new ROM, just to check if anyone has similar problems.

First, here's a list of the different tools I've used:

SYS Porting Tool For Ervius Kitchen : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6138699&postcount=25
Step by step instruction:
01.Put your original flash.bin from acer website in the "Original_FLASH" folder in the Ryan_Kitchen
02.Execute the first batch "1.Disassemble_Flash.bat" and follow on screen instruction
03.Wait for 1 little minute after the end of the execution and lauch the second batch "2.Disassemble_Flash.bat"
You should now get a kitchen folder wich contains a "OEM", a "PACKAGEs", a "ROM" and a "SYS" folders. (and a dsm file on the root).
04.Delete everything in the ROM\XIP folder except the "boot.rgu" file.
05.Delete everything in the Sys folder, except the .ROM and .VM folders.
Creating your new XIP:
Extract all files from the latest build downloaded from DA_G and grab the xip.bin from it.
Get your actual xip from the Ryan_Kichen\Ectracted_ROM folder
Use Xip kitchen to build your new xip, follow the instruction of the original thread.
Copy the result xip-xip.bin to the Ryan_kitchen\New_XIP folder an rename it to xip_out.bin
Creating your new SYS
Extract all the files you need from the WM build with the sys porting tool for ervius kitchen (follow the original thread instruction)
For the ACER E1, we need to use 96 DPI and 240 * 400 resolution. I'm sure you know your regional code.
Copy all the files from the differents folders to a single one, to get something like what you've previously deleted from the SYS folder of the Ryan_Kitchen\Kitchen folder. Put all those files to this folder.
Copy all the files from the MSXIPKernel and the MSXIPKernelLTK from the WM build folder to the Ryan_Kitchen\Kitchen\ROM\XIP folder
06.Launch "3.Make_Flash.bat" and follow on screen instruction.
PkgToolsBuildOS is now runnig, go to BuildOS, click Load Rom and click The green triangle (play)
An error message appears (g'reloc not found) simply ignore it and close the program.
07.Launch "4.Make_Flash.bat" and follow on screen instruction.
08.Launch "5.Make_Flash.bat" and follow on screen instruction.
Your new rom is in the Ryan_Kitchen\Output_FLASH folder. Rename it to FLASH.bin and copy it to your SDCard.
09.Flash your phone.
It works for me, it should work for you.

I've tried to cook manila directly in the rom without any succes, but feel free to try it.
Just for information, all the manila components used has been grabbed from the official HTC rom for the touch2 (mega).
You can simply used the ryan kitchen linked in the second post of the thread to unpack my rom and copy all the mega package from the OEM folder.
