SnapVUE like skin for HTC Universal

Hi to all!
Is there any skin for Universal WM6 which will be similar to this shown on this picutre?

Nice job tslany!
Removing bottom bar: copy extracted dciNobar.exe to Uni (i.e. \Program Files or anywhere), create shortcut, copy shortcut to \Windows\Startup & you lose the bottom bar & soft keys every soft reset. [taken from LG KS20 thread]
Remove tray icons except bluetooth (I don't have it) by installing individual attached cab files.
Let us know if you are successful in this project!

Here is screenshot of ver. 0.4:
SnapVue.zip contains skin for rlToday and LCD font, SnapVue-tsk.zip contains TSK file
(for remove BT icon (Widcomm stack) I move BTTray.lnk from StartUp folder to My documents and softreset )

Getting better tslany!
Now, we need to put something on the empty space in the middle of the screen like the original SnapVUE. Perhaps align the calendar, email, sms icons in one row and use standard WM5/6/6.1 today plugins to fill up the screen.
Better yet is to enable today plugins above to appear in the empty space between those icons. Wisbar Advance and/or Advance Desktop cannot do that, but I don't know if rlToday can do that either.

Need help with manila background image

Hi,
I have a O2 branded TouchFlo3D, so it is blue and white. The background image an all manila pages is fading from blue to white.
I have replaced all Luaq- and QTC-Files in my windows-directory with those from the original htc theme. That works fine, but i still got the old O2 background image. Which file do I have to replace???
Please help.

maybe the luaq and qtc files are the animation behavor itself and the gles files are the picture informations?

Yeah, post a screeny so we can see...I'm using Dutty's Full, with an O2 manilla cab installed. I didn't get the .tsk or wallpaper in it, so not sure what you mean. On the pages after home, the screen is gradient, but with bars. If you don't mind, while helping can you tell me which file is the background images aside the home page?

Did you mean the wallpaper on Manila backgorund when you selected one from the setting page?
If that's the case you should see:
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\HomeBackgroundPath
Unless it's not what on your mind.

I think, we talking about that picture, what's in the background on all of the other Manila pages. Black with gray rectangles.
Is that changeable manually like the home's one?
What file is it? Anyone can help me?

Yes I mean the background image, which is on all manila pages.
I figured out, just replacing all QTC-Files doesn't work, so i had to replace all manila-files. I think you also need a LuaQ-File for displaying the background?

I also have a background image problem while using Manila black, it's a different though...
Since i applied the manila Black theme, i am no longer able to change the homescreen background. No matter what i try the "wallpaper" just does'nt appear.
Who can help me out?

I've backed up this key and HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CachedBackgroundPath but when i restore these keys my home screen background remains black.. is there some other file where the background image is copied after you change the wallpaper for the home screen?

Windows\P_BG.png and L_BG.png looks like it

no... these are only green bars (that I wasn't able to change in manila home... btw...)

I only find the paths for changing left and right soft buttons

wallpaper won't change
I have HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila i cannot find the HomeBackgroundPath set to \content\wallpaper\wallpaper_flames.png but it refuses to change from the square floor tiles!

how to change tf3d highligt color?!

hi there i searched the forum for about a day and realy can't find my answer
can any one plz tell me how can i change the tf3d (touch hd version!) highligt color? (with out changing the original theme indid !)

and for changin the wallpaper in all tabs. can any one make an app to do this in one simple step? or we have to do all that things one by one every time we want to chang the wallpapers?!

There is no 'easy' answer to that question.
For some highlight elements of Windows Mobile (like the phone dialer or call history, and other system screens) the highlight colour is determined by .tsk files... and registry entries.
Go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Color and change the values to whatever colour you want. This effects Windows Mobile system colours (including highlights).
You might also need to look at HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today and change the colour values for whatever task file you selected to use. (HTC Black.tsk, for example).
The green highlight you see in TF3D is controlled by numerous _manila files.
The clock highlight on the Home Page, for example, is made up of 3 _manila files (1 left edge, 1 right edge, 1 middle tiled image). Another 3 _manila files are used for the call history and calendar highlight. Another 3 _manila files control the higlight on other tabs like Settings, or All Program etc.
The keyboard menu highlight, and the Communication Page highlight are all controlled by simple .png images (as these are accessed outside of TF3D.)
So to change the colour of ALL of the highlights on your phone... you have to change many things. Or install a complete theme made by somebody else (and hope they changed ALL of the images... which isn't always the case).

If you search the forum, you'll probably find 1 or 2 programs that will let you change the wallpaper with a few clicks... but that function is usually built into a program that does many other things too... and you did say that you didn't really want the theme of your phone changed!
However... editing the _manila file isn't that complicated anyway.... you create your image, import it into the manila file, copy that file to your phone... done!
Using a program (as you asked)... you would create your image, copy it to your phone, launch an app on your phone, click change picture, select your image... done.
Those 2 scenarios aren't that different or really any quicker! The only real advantage to using a program... is that you could change the background image while away from your computer. However if you want to keep 20 different wallpapers on your phone that you can select between... simply import those 20 images into 20 of the same _manila file and store them on your phone like "sports_car_4a087e41_manila" & "hot_babe_4a087e41_manila"... then when you want to change your wallpaper to one of them... simply rename whichever file to "4a087e41_manila" and copy it your your Windows directory... done!

its 1BBFDC9B_manila, or "TabSinglesandNotificationIcons.qtc", and its only one file

thank you for your help but when i convert this file to png i get something simular to bottum slider in manila, it looks transparent. I actually want to change the two icons encircled in the pic.

This is how it should look like (that one is from gold theme) ... the background isnt actually white but transparent.

In new manila in the Communications tab ----> 'Wi-Fi', it gives you the available networks.
Do you happen to know the file that gives you the highlight icon when you press the network you want to connect to?
(I altered some manila files to change the theme and now when I press at the desired network it highlite part or the name

Sorry, i dont know the filename for that. But to me it looks more like a problem with the sizes of the images you replaced. Did you keep the exact heights and widths of the graphics?

They are the same (original) pictures, I just edited them with photoshop.

you didnt change image transparency, did you? Could be a reason too. Or a wrong mode9 file.

How to workarround the dead pixel line in TF3d CLOCK skin ? (SOLVED)

Hi guys!
I created a custom clock skin for TF3D (using original manila from HD) but It dont draw the line where the original numbers split (in the middle). Any one knows how to do this?
I tried SprintClock_HD_v0.1.1.cab and then, replaces the numbers with my owns and then display ok without the missing line (but alignments and the floor of the icons dont and lost the functionality of the hidden missed calls button in my skin)
Someone can help me with that ?

Nice work...
You need to shift the bottom digits up by 1 pixel. Have to edit your mode9 file. Let me know which TF3D version you are using. I can quickly edit it ( while I still have some time)

I don't understand what you mean with "shift the bottom digits". In the manila files they dont have the middle gap. I make the graphics continuous.
My tochFLO 3D version is 1.3.35350.1_1630.38 (taken from the Settings menu)

Sorry, can't find a backup of my old TF3D v1.0. Instead, I've used the BG4all layout version. Try it and let me know whether it works.

Yes! it worked !!! but I dont like BG4all thing so I revert to original files. In the sms window I cant read anything and its more dificult to see my contacts or the weather.
I learned how to edit MODE9 files and compared 1c684cd8_manila you provided with the original in my rom.Found the right values.Modded a little and VOILA!!! It's working 100% like I wanted
