hello,
i have installed Helmi_WM2k6_v.1.1 WM6 OS 5.2.318 (Built 15341.0.0.0),
And as much as good as it looks,i am haveing problems,i cant get calls very well,the mobile gets stuck once in a while and i hear it has a lot of battery consumption.
Anyway,does anyone know a good nice rom,possibly i guess WM5 for now,until wm6 gets more stable.
Whatever rom you guys give me,tell me is it a rom that i just upgrade,or do i have to do something else?like put a radio in the directory of the rom?
Ohh and a link would be much appriciated.
come on guys,no one knows a good wm5 rom for the universal? the big problem i am having is that if the phone is unused for a while,people call me and it dosnt my phone wont ring(people that call me hear a dial tone)
if you want a good old reliable one...use jwrights 19096. its what i use aside from his crossbow roms which is actually pretty good... as for the link well you can blame m$ for taking it down. hope this helps
try 2.01.01PDA from pdaviet.net It's the best ROM I've ever used after Helmi AKU 3.5 and iMate, etc.... ROM

I bought an HTC p3600 last week and upgraded it WM6 for no obvious reason at the time. I tried over 6 different ROMs, and no offense to the beloved cookers, i couldn't stand the bugs, so I downgraded to WM5 again. The only things I'm missing from WM6 are the task manager menu on the top right of today menu (xBotton), which was extremly handy, the lovely big TouchPad and KeyPad, keyboards which Bepe has put in his ROMs, which are very good for writing messages with one hand, and the quick search in emails, while you typed your search string while in the inbox or any other folders. The last but the least is of coures, HTC home which is so good looking and handy.
Now is there anyway i could install these on WM5? I need cracked versions of course, as i'm leaving in Iran and due to lovely embargos getting worse every day I have no means to pay for stuff. So pls comment.

Try using the Dopod WM6 ROM or search this forum for the cab files you want.

Use the advanced search function of the forum and your find all you need - you seem to be very familiar with searching so I wont explain that too!!

One example is that ActiveSync was loosing it's connections in one of the cooked ROM's. That's not a problem if you use it only as phone but not handy when you sync mail from Outlook etc.
It's a big bug, but within a day it was fixed in that ROM and I could choose to use other ROM too.
The forum is called XDA Developers and that means bugs, but lastest developments too. You can't ask a bug free ROM incl. the lastest software. If you want that bug free ROM, maybe you consider an official build or consider another sort of phone like a Nokia 3310.
OR
Define your most important feautures and select one which has those features working. Report the bugs in the other features, but don't complain about them.

I did installed successfully, without any trick or crack the HTC X-Button 1.5 onto my wm5 official Qtek ROM on my Wizard.
So you can definitely have it on your wm5 ROM, just try to find the cab on the forum, it is somewhere there.
If you don't find it PM me, I will upload it for you.

I've been using the HTC WM6 WWE ROM for a month or so now ... I miss of couple of things from the Dash WM6 ROM.
I like the T-Mobile theme, not a big fan of the green home screen with black letters, any way to get the T-Mo theme on the HTC ROM and completely get rid of the green, even on the call screen?
Can someone suggest what to Google to find Voice Command with out shelling out 40 bucks? I love having my BT headset in and having the voice command read out new messages as they arrive.
Any major differences between the HTC WWE ROM and the HTC German ROM?

change themes. i am on the wm6 german rom using the blue homescreen.
MSVC16SP.
wwe has more languages so it is a larger file.

If you liked the HTC ROM, I think you would really like the Rodgers ROM ... except for the item noted.
If I could find a ROM based on Rodgers, that included Voice Command from the default T-Mobile WM6 ROM, that would be SWEET.

Do you think that you can share the Christmas mail? I've downloaded Rogers WM6 and I sure missed the voice command too and have been searching thru the 'net for an upgraded voice command - only for WM5 but not WM6.

If you are looking for the same behavior from Voice Command that you experienced with a T-Mobile branded Dash and the T-Mobile WM6 upgrade, then I think you are going to be disappointed.
With the T-Mobile WM6 upgrade, which included Voice Command, I would get call, meeting, message, email and other announcements via the BT headset. With the Rodgers ROM and standard Voice Command, I have not been able to get much of that functionality enabled. It is frustrating, because we are talking about the same hardware, and presumably the same software (WM6 & Voice Command 1.6, but the behavior I am experiencing is different.
One thing particularly interesting is that somewhere out there on the internets, I read a post where somebody did a quick comparison of the (Voice Command) files included with the T-Mobile WM6 upgrade and the (Voice Command) files installed in the 1.6 distributable and the files were different.
I may look into this, but I am not inclined to do too much reverse-engineering of stuffs like this.

Because WM6.1 adds some new features that helps devices without touch scream.
And you must know that 510 keys dont help much...
Does anyone know how to have more buttons on the people tab like send e-mail, send sms, call mobile and call home? I really read all first 20 pages from blackstone forum (themes, blackstone and rom dev) an cannot find it. Thx.
L.E. it is possible to keep my current theme and install those?
I think also that I have seen something in the home tab too on youtube but not sure what it was because of poor recording video.

the buttons you speak of are on mine as standard so perhaps try looking if theres been a update on htc's site

ROM is original HTC Rom no flashing yet for me not untill im bored of TF3D lol
