[POLL] New poll about your favorite ROM

Hi everyone,
more and more roms appear in this great forum, and I think people would love to know which is your favorite rom (and why - PLEASE no message like "this one is the best ever !" - please tell what you like : cube, softs, memory, etc.)

My fav ROM is Meschle's Premium Plus. Need to list that one as well.

Can you add a option no more polls about this matter? This poll went by b4 and is like the same question: what is the best rom at this moment? Try out yourself.
There should be loads more options to choose, and it should be possible to edit your vote (when a new rom comes out). Further, to have a more objective response, every voter has to have tried all the roms on the list. If you don't, you will probably choose the current 1 you are using which is perfect! What is perfect for you can easily be bad for someone else.

I have to admit that I have only tried Tom's B&B ROMs - I just can't be bothered with the others as Tom's ROMs just work.

Unfair !
I think its unfair to let all the rom cooks out there see what position thier roms fall. I think they should all be 1st place purely down to the dedication,devotion given to the Artemis. I for one cannot thank them all enough for all the work and time they give to us..
So in a earlier post yes Ive posted my vote but out of them all I am currently running Toms, but as soon as a new Vanilla comes out Ill try that and when Fracooms new one comes out I'll try that..so on and so on. I jst wish I could win the lottery and make sure these guys never work again (well at least untill a new device comes out lol) ;-)

what's the problem with you guys... ? I understand when you get when people ask for the 1000th time why the "corrupted rom file" error happens. But this poll is to help people who don't know which rom to choose seduced the most people. Personnaly, I've tried at least 10 different version (B&B 3.5, 3.7, 4.0, 4.1, Meschle Artemis Touch 1.0 and 2.0, AJE_FR 1.50, etc.) and I don't have time to test every new rom that comes off your great fingers and brains, so I just wanted to know what was the most "fashion" rom at the moment ! What does it cost to you that I make this poll ?
PS : i'm sorry that I forgot some roms like Meschle's premium one....

and as you can see, almost 60 people have voted and nearly 400 people read this thread, so maybe some people are instered in this 1000th edition of the "same" poll !

This rom is a collab rom from me and surface_rom.
It's based on the original 1.93 roms and optimised with the latest os and apps.
We're trying to make this rom as stable as possible but also as usefull as possible, with all the latest and usefull apps, stunning design and great tweaks.
But the skinning & testing/bugfixing part is gonna take a while so please have patience for the rom to complete.

Nice.. i'm running .20 and it's great.. it could be more great, if it was a bit more stable..
i notice that it sometimes freezes. maybe u could include something tom is making? a resettool that resets your phone automatticly every day.
I will be looking out for your first diamondrom together, i'll be waiting patiently ^^.
i've flashed to a number of roms, but yours is the best dutch one, and i like to keep my device dutch and upgraded.. so for all the dutchies out here, this is the one u need

First of all, HUGE thanks to psuarmy, bilbobrian, and bepe (they know why). Last year, in my first period class (basketball), somebody decided to jack my 8525 and took off with it which upset me a lot. Well, i finally got an 8525 so i can cook for it. I've spent quite some time getting it all ready and it's finally good to go.
I offered this same service for the Kaiser and a lot of people seemed to like it so i thought i'd bring it here. It'll bring a lot more load on me, but i'm on summer vacation until the 25th and then school starts (will continue to do this even when i have school hopefully).
Most chefs tend to cook what the majority of the people like including myself. When i cooked my first ROM and asked people for feedback/suggestions, i did get a few programs that everybody liked but there were many suggestions of programs that each different user liked. So i could have cooked Livcast in which Joe wanted, but Mary wouldn't use it at all; that kind of thing
I couldn't get anybody to cook what i wanted so i did it myself So i'm opening up this thread for ANYBODY who has a request to cook a ROM which can include ANY program (or rather anything they want). I will cook commercial programs, but will NOT include any license/registration key; that's up to you to get. The format should look something like this:
Programs: Thousands of these.
Games: Thousands of these to
Version: Here you can tell me whether you want a cube version, non-cube version, diamond build, etc.
Other: Whatever else you'd like.
Preferred Upload Host: Have problems with RS? No problem, just tell me the site and i'll upload it there. I can also upload to Jannaa's blogspot thanks to her generosity!
You can help aplace4u.biz to stay free.
Chances are that I probably have access to the programs you want, so i'll make them to an OEM if i don't already have them.
I'm on summer vacation so I have quite some time and i'd like to devote it in helping out (not just here but anywhere). If this doesn't go so well, i'll just ask a mod to delete the thread.

Ooo! Like the sound of this.
Programs: Samsung time, iContact, Windows live, office, pocket rar, softkey changer, pocketIRC, Schaps advanced config, Oxios Memory, phm regedit, and finaly pbar.
If you dont have any of these, just ask and ill post them up.
Games: just the default ones will do
Other: button 5 fix, and com manager toggle vibrate fix. As clean as you can, maybe take out error reporting, managed programs, and clear storage as well as the normal stuff like welcome centre.
I would like HTC connection wizard in there as well.
10 button black comm manager, and this dialler.
Version: I dont mind to much, I dont use anything like the Cube, just the newest you have. (WM6.1 of cause) I see build 20273 around, maybe newer if you have it

That's why I said he came from the 'future' as he's been doing ROMs for the kaiser. I think I have also picked my next ROM for the kaiser, but will see what's on offer here

Lol, now i know what you mean. Well if you read the first few sentences of the post, i had an 8525 before my Tilt. Then some loser jacked it from me when i was dressing out after my practice
I've done over 40 ROMs for the Kaiser (look at the thread or a picture here) It's been great assisting people. Can get extremely stressful, however the outcome is well worth it when people like it

You should check up for Abusalza and Starbase64 4shared directories on their signatures. They have plenty of cabs ...

8megs is my sweet spot, doesn't matter to much though, takes all of 10s to change it

Diamond base is fine

Exactly...with 2G dialer, netcf 3.5, schaps config v2.1, task manager v3.1, 6mb PP, no splashs...
HOLD up for now...Im looking at some other possible IU & apps!

Is there someone who have an idea on how to upgrade a gsmart ms800 to wm6.1 or better on 6.5? i took a look at many forums and many sites but i've never cooked a rom and i don't know how to do it, i've downloaded the official roms but they all are for wm6.0...

Yep, me too have a gsmart winmo phone - a MW700 and i'd love to put windows mobile 6.5 on it.
It's very hit and miss on this forum as to whether anyone will even bother to reply to you. I guess people are busy with other things on other phones.

I think we need a developer who buy a gsmart.. i tried to cook my own ms800 rom using the instructions on mybestpda but i had many problems. I so hope someone better than me can work on gsmart roms. I think i've lost time enought, so i prefer to wait.. bye bye

It's really from mybestpda i've start my adventure on cooking a rom for ms800.. because it's really a good site, but there is no roms for ms800.
There is a thread on cooking roms and i tried loosing so much time...
There is another site www.gigabyteclub.ru that is really good and is in Russian,but there there are only russian roms and i don't understand how to use the kitchen (in russian), google translator it's not enought for me....

Gsmart Problem
Hello guys, i have big problem, i try to flash my Gsmart MS800 with modified rom and now i can't start the phone, only see light display. Sombody know the key combination for bootloader menu? I want to reinstal the original one.
Hope smb will help me, otherwise i have to throw ot of the window this phone

i had a problem like you some months ago, and the main board of the phone was burned.. i hope it is not the same for you, mine was an original rom so i could use warranty.

Can someone help me !
I read a lot of stuf here and i can't find a good duch 6.5 ROM for my HTC Diamond 1 (GSM) with processor MSM7201A-528MHz.
Now running on my Diamond 1:
Original ROM: 2.03.404.3 NLD (=WM 6.1)
Radio: 1.09.25.23
protocol: 52.51.25.26H
DIAM100 64M - SPL 2.03 - Micro-Diam (LED) v11
First must running Unsigned Hard SPL Diamond OliNex1.40.
Can someone help me for a good Dutch WM6.5 ROM !!!!
Or have someone cook a good dutch one for the HTC Diamond 1 ???

i myself use a blackstone and it is wvga
i dont have any colorfull custimisations
i tried looking a little but not much that i like(found a taskbar though)
you guys can instal dinik his icon set?
it is wvga so i dont know if it works
anyone has a nice taskbar
or cna i use wvga stuff for that?
edit: just saw startmenu icons are the same size for wvga and vga so i only need some nice colorfull icons for slider and maybe other things threu the rom
would have been easy if i said i am making a sense 2.5 rom

I flash my ROM every 2 weeks, but haven't found a good/fast/stable Dutch ROM yet. The GEN Y NLD ROM looks nice but for daily use it isn't fast enough. I'm sending a lot of text messages every day and i hate waiting on a letter to appear on the screen. And browsing on a slow device is also verry frustrating.
So, before i throw the device against the wall, i hope someday there will be a perfect match between me and a lovely Dutch Rom!
My criteria:
- Dutch T9
- Phone Keyboard (QWERTY is to small for my fingers)
- WM 6.5
- Nice look (for example the Atlas 1.2 ROM)
- Very Fast

lol these are a lot of my criteria to when i make a rom
i want it to be colorfull as i think it will look nice
wm6.5
sense 2.5 (with htc messaging fix to get multiple pages)
and dutch xt9 gonna try but not sure about this as he doesnt use xt9 so that doesnt matter to him
it wil have a lot in common with my blackstone rom
for instance it has the same taskbar
i hope the slider can be the same as well as i really like them:-o
startmenu icons will be the same

to be honest i dont think i am going to post it
still havent got it right yet in english and in my opinion ram goes up to high
stil have to see what happens if the images get resized to smaller size but i think it doesnt make much difference

I use Atlas 1.20 with the older 1.5 series keyboard with dutch xT9. Works well enough. Supports phone keyboard, compact qwerty and qwerty. Only has issues with opera mini 5 beta, but that's opera's fault. Opera mobile 10 works without any problem.

My ATLAS will be Dutch very soon . Did you do any translations yet for the OEM folder? Maybe we can split up the work and work together for that one.
PS. Where did Da_G hide his initflashfiles.dat files? I remember downloading it a few weeks back but cant find it anymore.

to be honest i havent done any translation yet
i first make it english and then i make it nld
he is now testing the english version and i hope everything is ok
as for the oem fodler have looked there but it looks weird in my opinion
nothing like my blackstone kitchen
think it has something to extendir
as for initflash.dat i use the english one from my blakstone kitchen(i made english and dutch roms) and it works like it should so i gues i can use it from my blackstone kitchen for the nld to
wich kitchen did you use as base?
i downloaded the one from chrisda1a
all packages have alreadby been thrown out and replaced by my own and my own tweaks
only thing is a lot gets overwritten cause many .exe files and mui are in the oem folders:S
i think this will slow down the device but hack first soem playing with my own again
its fallen behind with 21901
and about half the kitchen ext packages has to be updated
ps if you are a chef do you know why messenger always says i am in a bad reception place
this happens on the diamond
while i have the same sys/xip packages as i use for blackstone and i dont have problem there

Mybe it's posable to cook a clean Dutch WM 6.5 rom for the HTC Diamond 1 and share that ROM with all members of xda-developers.
So we can install the other programm's by or own and make ik work like we self want.

there probably will be a clean release to but it will be a one timer as i am making it for a friend and have to use his laptop
this makes it hard to keep the kitchen updated
and post them
i may try to teach him how the kitchen works though

I wil ask it again........has someone mybe a dutch (good and tested) 6.5 ROM for the HTC Diamond.
Or now you were I can find a good dutch 6.5 rom.
