I have been reading quite a few posts about ROM upgrading for our sweet toy.
There are a number of references to many ROMs to use to un-brick a phone, and they have different code names for english, french, german, etc. ROMs, and then there are ROMs labeled WWE.
The question is: what does WWE stand for? My wild guess is that this ROM is not biased for a specific country (WW --> World Wide), but I would like someone to confirm this.

ROMs with WWE are English (World Wide English).
And DO use the search function!
Hi buddy.
Well, pretty much what you are going to find around here is WWE,search a little bit more and you´ll find your answers, the best rom is the one that works the best for you......depending on your needs,country,cell-company etc....etc....etc...So this is hard to explain.
I guess a 75% of the roms are WWE,so start taking a look and trying them out.
This is the first and best place to check it out:
www.trinityguides.info
All that info is brought by racerx_
Please use SEARCH funcion!
Here you can find all of the eng (and other) roms:

Guys,
Thanks very much for taking your time and explaining this to me.
I'm not very familiar with acronyms and terminology that you use here (like - ROM - Extended ROM - Dumped or Modified ROM - Cooked ROM - Original Shipped ROM - WWE - Dump the ROM - CID - Radio - Bootloader ect) and that's why is hard for me to know what I'm looking for.
Anyways,
Now I know that I should look for WWE WM6 and flush my phone.
My only concern is to learn a little bit about ROMs
I just moved to Canada and apart from using SPV M700 as my phone I'm intending to use it as GPS Navigator aswell.
I hope I will not kill my phone ;-)
Thanks though for taking your time and answering my question
Kind regards,
A$h
Hi everybody,
I'm really new in all this and maybe (sure) I'm asking something obvious.... but... if somebody could answer...
I've got a Diamond, not changed anything.
My ROM version is: 1.37.412.2 ESN
Radio version: 1.00.25.03
What are the advantages of installing
-Hard-SPL
-RUU_Diamond_HTC_SPA_1.37.412.2_Radio_Signed_Diamon d_52.26a.25.09_1.00.25.03_Ship (only one signet in spanish!)
If the ROM and Radio are the same version??
Thanks!!!
Sers,
yes, these are exactly the same versions of ROM & Radio.
regards

You can find both Rom version here
If you have the same version you don't have any advantage.
But, if you speak Spanish and your device English, you can try to install signed HARD-SPL by OliNex and after the signed ROM, or Unsigned Hard-SPL for developers and the UNsigned ROM (Oficial version).
Get Luck !
Yes, I could try an English ROM. But looking in the signed list, only two ROMs are newer than mine.
-RUU_Diamond_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.37.707.1_Radio_Signed_D iamond_52.26a.25.09_1.00.25.03_Ship
-RUU_Diamond_HTC_WWE-ME_1.37.456.2_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.26a.25.09_1. 00.25.03_Ship
First one I supose that is not in English and the second one, I really don't know the language but it's just 1.37.456 when mine is 1.37.412. Are there lots of changes between them? It's better to wait until a new version is released? where can I find the differences in each version?
What about the cooked and signed ROMs? These are the same as others but with some things out?
Thanks for your quick answer!!!

Both Roms are English. I don't know...there are several cooked roms now. Just try it and then use that likes you.
For differences you can look for in its corresponding thread.

Sers again,
these version are not newer than yours and they are both english WWE (Wo
rld Wide English), ME only means signed for Middle Europe devices!
1.37.412.2 - first 3 digits are the main version 1.37 , next 3 are the regional code (i.e: 412 for Spain, 407 for German), and last one is "sub" version!
So 1.37.....2 is newer than 1.37.....1 .
Cooked roms are based on stock roms, they have - dependend of cooker - i.e. some speed tweaks, memory tweaks, or newer/updateable apps in them.
regards
Thanks for that information.... so I'm up-to-date....
As I'm a little afraid of having a wonderful brick I'll read a lot more before installing some cooked verison!
I've read that Radio 1. 00.25.05 works better than mine (03). It really worth to install in without installing the hole ROM? (I supouse it can be done...)
Thanks again!
Sorry guys I'm really noob
I have just purchased a used Diamond. I love the device, but I would love even better with WinMo 6.5 and new Touchflo. The OS is now Hungarian, but I don't mind if it's English. Anybody can direct me which thread to read, or moreover what to do?
Many thanks!

thats all ;P
i have same problem and i dont have idea what to do about that...only my HTC is denmark and i dont understand anything...pls help!
download this http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=93362&d=1213719705 then run the software inside the archive you downloaded, follow the instruction then you will be able to change the language by flashing roms...for english rom see if in the title there is written WWE
Hi,
I've been trying to search the entire forum through and find information of stock roms that would include Finnish as language. I have tried and flashed several stock rom versions from 1.32 to the latest but cannot choose Finnish as language on them as it does not seem to be available on those WWE versions.
So the question is that do I need a specific stock rom like some dedicated Nordic version perhaps? Strange is that there seem not be any here at the forum... At least I haven't yet found any... Can somebody please help me if you have any information regarding this? Thanks.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Sounds odd mate, WWE RUU should include them all. It has Danish, Swedish and Norwegian at least. I know it's not really helping, just seems odd that Finnish is left out.
Just checked on this custom ROM (LeeDroid 3.2.1) which is based on WWE Gingerbread, and it has Finnish. Are you sure you're not just overlooking it? Sorry, might be a stupid question, but it seems really odd if it isn't included

Thanks for the info.
Funny thing is that when I install for example "Custom Locale" application from Android Market I get to choose Finnish as a language and then everything seems normal.
Before unrooting I had Radio S-Off and Eng S-Off installed and CoreDroid´s latest custom rom and then I revert back to stock using Radio S-on method found here at forum. Does this has anything to do with this problem perhaps?

Which of the firmware for Samsung Galaxy s2 t-989 has the the Russian language (WWE)??? Thanks.
Do you mean ROM localization or keyboard?
I am not sure that such exists fro the US T-mobile phone. Anysoftkeyboard supports almost all European languages.

Samsung phones don't use WWE in their ROMs and for your information there is no russian interface (language settings) available at the moment for T989 only German, Spanish French Italian and Chinese. I really doubt somebody will start on building ROM with russian interface unless these phones start selling in Russia in huge quantities!
I have a Stone Cold Steve Austin Rom, if that helps.
chinese language

Don't quote me on this. But I recently re-flashed (ROM is great, that's not why) Sirius (From RootzWiki - I am apparently not allowed to link yet in my post, so search it - sorry) and I believe that in the first few steps after I flashed (where you sign into Google and such), it asked me to choose a language, and I believe there were a few Asian Pacific languages available. Again, please don't quote me on this. Also, I am not sure if this choice would be for the whole phone interface, but I would ask the developers in that thread, they should certainly know. ROM is great btw!
