Does anyone know if there's a way to make a phone call direct from an Outlook contact if the phone has an activesync connection thru USB or Bluetooth.
I use a bluetooth headset and it'd be neat to be able to dial direct from Outlook,

I have been trying to find software, or a plug in for Activesync, anything at all that will allow for me to sync my phone call log with my PC. I know that it is a file there fore it can be extracted and translated for the pc some how. Does anyone at all, know how I can do this?
The obvious question would be: "What do you want to sync it WITH?"
But there is something that sort-of does this.
If you have Pocket Informant, and buy their JournalSync ActiveSync add-on, it will synchronise your Outlook Journal, which will include all numbers dialed via PocketInformant.
I bought PocketInformant, and soon after JournalSync for that very reason. But then, I PocketInformant controls my life!!
Try Jeyo Mobile Companion.

I think it serve your need.
try modaco smart journal: works with Pocket PC Phone and Smarthpone. Syncs to outlook journal

Call Log
I tried the program from MoDaco, and it did not work for me, but it would have been ideal since it moves things into Outlook. I tried the Jeyo product, and it will be good to tide me over for now. If there is anything else that comes out, let me know!
I have a Volkswagen Touareg with a bluetooth phone prep, which is a remote Sim Access Profile type and possibly made by Nokia, the manual mentions Nokia HT-2, which I am trying to connect my HTC TyTN too. I have recently ugraded to the WM 6 ROM from the HTC website, works brilliantly, and am using the SAP Manager tool included to make the connection, which is fine.
But I cannot copy my phone book, which happens to be my ActiveSync contacts from an outlook exchange server. I have installed the Jetware Mobile app, discussed in a similar thread here, but no joy. Does anyone have any ideas please? Is there a widget I could install or some modification I could make that would achieve it, as it is a ball ache to manually dial every number I need from the steering wheel when it is just in the phonebook. Many thanks.
use gmail account
Hello,
I have the same problem. Converting the contacts to a gmail account en use the gmail app the synchronize mail & contact. that works fine .

HI
I have a question about the synchronizing emails from outlook.
well normally I use wifi or edge to download my email from my HD, but then when I synchronize it with my computer download again the same emails but put them in the outlook folders, is there any way to avoid this? I mean if I already have the email then activesync should not downloaded again from outlook right?

from what you describe i'm going to assume a few things, one of which is that you DO NOT use Exchange for your mail, in this case WinMo thinks your mail is from different sources/accounts, no way around that, that's how it is.
consider disabling ActiveSync for Outlook Mail.
connect your device
open ActiveSync on the PC
go to tools > options
uncheck "E-mail"
click ok
let it sync
when satisfied delete the Outlook mail from your Device
mm, thanks for your advice, and yes I use POP3 accounts, and the idea is to download the email from my phone when I'm on the go, but use activesync when I'm in my house because it's free ,
ActiveSync gives your phone a free internet connection through you PC. your POP mail will be downloadded for free using the ActiveSync connection!
you can also make ActiveSync disallow the phone to use EDGE/3G
open ActiveSync > File > Connection Setting
UN-check "Allow Wireless connection on device when connected to the desktop"
Hi All,
Is there a way of sending all contacts via Bluetooth?
My InDash Car kit allows me to transfer the Phonebook to it via bluetooth. On the Kaiser I had previously I could just select all the contacts and send them via bluetooth but this does not seem to be an option on the Desire. Any Ideas of an app which will do this?

So I recently upgraded my htc tilt to wm 6.5. I have setup activesync 4.5 on home pc to use with outlook on pc and phone. But the email send/receive option is grayed out on phone, unless phone is connected to pc via usb cable. I want to be able to send and receive verizon emails via phone (or pc), then sync up later to combine emails. I can send receive emails by a separately created email account (and I can sync it to outlook on pc), but it will not work with the mobile outlook email account. I have searched the posts and on the web, and see some people having similar issues, but no solutions.
Please help!
