Modify request for Wizard_reTouched_Dialer2 for Hermes - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

Everyone is waiting for the HTC Kaiser 3g dial pad and as I understand it it is taking a while to port accross. I myself don't need the 3g dialer yet but am just after the big style buttons.
I found the "Wizard_reTouched_Dialer2" on these forums and it looks exactly like the Kaiser dial pad (without the 3g part) only problem is that it changes the battery icon and 3g icon on the top bar. I am running Schap's 3.57a ROM and it has a nice 3g icon and new battery icon which I don't want to lose.
Could someone remove the icons from the installer cab? (found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=315685&highlight=wizard+retouched)
If this could be done by someone then I think that it would keep alot of Hermes uses happy until the HTC Kaiser 3g dialpad gets finished.
Cheers
Rochey

Can anyone please upload to a mirroring server? At this time we have to wait for 108 minutes to download...
thanks mate, I'll give it a whirl!!!
Simplicity is best.
Quite simply this is the best rom so far I have ever used on my device...
Most up to date base ROM, but with Dutty's help, just the right balance between function and speed.
I LOVE the 3D style virtual keyboard design too - I have been after this for years for a QVGA device.
It makes the VGA style virtual keyboard of the Universal look week by comparison.
Thanks loads Dutty mate - well done and keep up the good work!
The ONLY things I don't like is that the default Today theme using the cool black look, uses a 2D none-gradiented black for the top and bottom menu bars, and worse, if you change the theme to default WM6 glassy gradiented blue, the bottom menu bar stays solid black anyway. And that the phone dialler pad is the default flat looking pink T-Mobile style, as opposed to one of the new shiny black ones. I can easily sort this second bit out though with a cab install - it might even fix the first thing too.
So cheers mate!
Other than this, an amazing ROM!
What's the TMO_UK_3.60.110.1_6275 rom?
I haven't come across it before. Any more details?

Cheers for that mate It was just a quick modification of the rom. didn't spend too much time on it but just put bits in what i like. I'm not what you called a chef but someone who is learning from the master chefs and helping himself.
this was a bit easier for me to customise as its the same carrier rom as my provider t-mobile.
cheers again.
thank you very much

Such a helpful response...
Did my own digging, and found the original thread, just in case anyone else is curious: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=322905
Edit: Right, now pulled Dutty's tweaked version down because the pink hurts my pretty little eyes.
Cheers Dutty

in regards of the dialpad as this is a t-mobile rom i tried to left most of the stuff un touched but you can try and install differnt dial pads.
In regards of the new task manager you have to go into options and add desktop, phone , contacts, to add to exclusive in x-button settings.

Just an observer here, but find myself wondering what purpose comments like this serve? I am just confused when I see people making comments that are just rude IMO when someone is offering a free service. Just confused as to why you wouldn't just add your own dial pad and looks to it and be done with it.
If this is as zippy as it sounds Ill give it a whirl right now. Thanks Dutty
windows live issues
Has anyone got connection issues with windows live has I just got a fix for now if anyone who is using this rom and got a connection issues.
I have been using the rom all day and havent got no really faults with it apart from the H icon when in hspda mode but looking for a quick fix as soon as i got those two fix i will upload a new rom with all fixes included
Nice rom , first time i have flashed my vario2 and it all went fine. Not tried windows live yet but have found I have lost my video calling button in the dialer (tried allsorts but it won't appear) and i have never ever had the hsdpa icon come up only the 3g icon.

Trying to get 3g dialer, WM6.1, and the large task manager all at once

Hello all. I'm currently running CRC 10.4 rom and I love the huge task manager option (the drop down thing in the upper right corner on the today screen) but I haven't been able to find it as a cab. I also love the 3G dialer on the S64 rom but can't put it on crc10.4 b/c the crc dialer is cooked into the rom. I've found a nice 3G kaiser dialer but it just boogers up my dialer when I install it.
Can anyone recommend a rom / dialer / cab combo to me? I was thinking about using PDACornerPro.V12 and adding what I want to it, but I don't even know if that will work. I'm at the point where I would rather choose everything that goes into my rom, and spending some time on it vs. trying to cram in everything I can.
Thanks
you can get the latest task manager here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=399546
regarding the dialer: make sure you have netcf installed as well as some certs if you use schens dialer.
it also might be that you have to enable or disable the phone skin (use schaps advanced config for tweaking this)
Ok I disabled the phone skin, installed the 3G kaiser dialer, but now the smart dialing box (with the ugly scrollbars) is boogering up the look. I want it off of there. I installed the 3G dialer on my buddies phone and it works right. How do I turn off the smart dialer?
Figured it out. There is a registry key in HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE.. something like "EnableSmartDialb". Set it to 1.
you coulod also do it via the phone's menu (smart dialing options).

touch diamond style pinpad and dialer

I just installed a fresh ROM (CRC v13)
It seems stable and fast.
However, I don't like the look of old dialer and pinpad.
Is there a touch style pinpad and dialer with 3G function that I can run on my Hermes ?
I am especially asking for the pinpad, as I can find many dialers but no pinpad.
For example, poorlyduck's dialer seems fine, but where can I find a pinpad which would look similar ?
isn't there any pinpad ?
not sure if this would work but you can change keyboard with abusalza's little cab here.
it says "PDACorner_ProgramMenu.cab"
are you sure that it is really a pinpad and/or dialer ?

yes there is a keyboard skin changer not sure what you mean by pinpad if you meant on screen keyboard that does the job
no, I don't mean keyboard.
I mean the pinpad which is used for entering SIM card pin when accessing sim card.
sim pad is generally done with phcanoverbmp.dll, the one in the raphael would be VGA so would need some modification to work on the Hermes (QVGA). Naturally get photshop out and resize to half the resolution. Same with network icons etc...
ok; but I don't understand these things. is there a ready one that I can install ?
I saw that some roms (like Valerian 9.0) has pinpad touch style.
where can I get these pinpads ?
anyone who can help ?
I'm still looking for these. any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
then I guess no one is willing to share their pinpads ?
asking again ?
I think that the reason you have had no response is that, for the vast majority of us, we do not need to use the pin pad. Even those that do only access it once, to unlock our SIM card.
you are right, however, there are some pinpads created for Hermes from Touch.
So why not share it ?
Just so you never confuse people again, don't use the phrase "pin pad" and instead use "dialer skin"
PinPad or whatever
I have this for you. once you install it and soft-reset your device, you will have the skin you're seeking, but you will lose the battery 1% increment display. sorry, that's all I got for now.
I am not looking for a "dialer skin"
I am more looking for a "pin pad skin" which means the skin for the sim card pin entrance.

I know what you're talking about. I've also been looking around for a diamond-looking one. It changes the dialer but not the pin pad.
My radio keeps turning off with every soft reset so I meet my pin pad all the time. I'm not sure if that's what you call it though...

I don't think thats interchangable, usually cooked into a rom.. I had a issue with my rom and needed to be fixed when cooked into rom.

Service providers icon

I am an Aussie using Dutty's 3.2 extreme ROM and I have a T8285 (well used to before I "upgraded" to T8282 (by rom conversion) Anyway I used to have Telstra's coloured icon under the start button. Now it just has 3G Telstra there. is there a way to get it back. It kinda looks plain the way it is.
+1!
I'm also looking for a way to display a logo instead of the provider text.
