we have full informations about cooking but we need some instructions for transfaring a rom contents for a device to another .
also, which file [on sys folder] show the build number??

Hi all,
I am trying to port the mediaplus from AtomLife ROMs which has the second version of mediaplus with icons in circle.
I was successfull in extracting the imgfs.bin but there is onemore file ExROM.img which is not giving up.
I Tried
1. winimage
2. extended drive creator
3. scooter kitchen tools
but i am not able to look into the contents, it has the required _QHiddenPartition directory which has all the theme and image files for FMRadio/Mediaplus and Equaliser.
can anybody help me .

Mediaplus is very tricky..the images are in Ext ROM..but the links to executables are somewhere from the XIP section..any way keep working

I don't think u understand my problem.
I was able to run the Mediaplus(v1.0) app on my Eten M700 earlier when I had WM5 on my eten.
But after I changed it to WM6, I want something new and hence I am trying to get the Atom Life Mediaplus (v2.0), which is better looking than the earlier one.
But SInce the latest ROM's from O2 have differenct format
It contains
lot of asm.mbss files (Motherboard assembly ) and FLASH.DIO and ExROM.img
with XLDR.nb and EBoot.nb0 files also.
But that Extended rom is hardnut to crack, it does not open at all for any tools we have here.
That'swhy I asked for help, so that I can extract it.

i like this homescreen but the guys says that u have to cook your own rom. the could not create a cab file

Im trying to dump my current ROM and make it a flashable one
i have dumped the 4 adresses to the 4 .raw files.
part00.raw 3.196MB
part01.raw 4.608MB
part02.raw 90.240MB
part03.raw 116.736MB
These Files are in the "BaseROM" folder.
Then i choose !BEGIN
Wich gives me the next options

then i choose 2, but its wining and complaining about files missing..

i have been investigating this for the past couple of days and in the same situation as you ! i think we have to put the official HTC stock ROm in the same folder as well! let me try it , i will report back
no luck ! its still giving me a mesage "miising file
Kitchen\Baserom\os.nb
but it does build some 02_OS .nb packages in the same folder!
this is confusing!

just take orig. RUU_signed.nbh and put in baserom then press 1
So we are three people already looking for some help on building a ROM from a dump ...
Although there are tools for dumping a ROM and the kitchens have an option for rebuilding a dumped ROM it looks like nobody did that before and nobody knows how to do it.

if your running a stock rom just seach the forum or htc.com for the rom you are running..
guys check this out, its from the raphael forum, they seem to have done what we are trying to do.
i have been a bit busy so havent read through it properly , maybe you will have better luck

but which files inside the SYS folder should i replace to update the build and make a clean rom with minimum size for future cooking??
are they the folders of dll files or OEM or what??

get a clean sys, replace in kitchen and do relocating with g'reloc as described in the thread
Hi Could somebody who has the Diamond kitchen/Surface kitchen working please extract the vic_Diamond_v3.4 rom and post me the extracted XIP folder as i cannot get my kitchen to extract, after numerous posts requesting help for getting the kitchen working i have had no luck, I have used this rom for a base for my custom rom, now i want to make some alterations and i cannot get the xip extracted anymore
I Have My SYS and my OEM folders but have lost the XIP
Please help me if you can
