WM6 Text Message Bug?

I am using Black 2.0.2. I noticed something really strange. Everytime I get a text message, PIE loads. It's quite annoying. PIE loads at the same time as the new text message notification comes. Why does it do that?
Now that I think of it, all the WM6 ROMs I've tried, LSVW, Black, XML, does the same thing. Anyone else confirm this and know how to fix it?

Thats never happened to me! I've been using 4 other wm6 roms before black 2.0, does this happen when you first install the rom with no other apps installed?

Actually, I haven't noticed if it happens with a clean ROM or not. I pretty immediately install these apps after flashing a new ROM.

- Resco Explorer
- SBSH Pocket Weather
- Keyboard Fix
- Comm Vibrate Patch
That's about it.

mmmm could have been worded correctally or not... cant remember...
sounds like the person who borrowed, stole, copied or just changed it has a customisation wrong or the person that started this thread has changed something...

I can send and receive text messages no problem. I don't see the issue of explorer loading when a message is received. I installed Black 2.0 ROM, let it run whatever customizations it wanted to after booting up for the first time (I wasn't in the room). Came back, all was up and running.
Rom Version: Pro Black 2.0
Rom Date 1/4/07
Radio Version: 1.40.30.00
Protocol Version: 32.73.7020.16H

i have this prob...whenever i open up my text messages and then press end...it gets reallly slow

I am very surprised that no one else has this problem. I don't customize my phone at all. I install the regular patches and a few programs and that's it. It's just so strange that I put my phone to sleep (pushing the power button) and then when I receive a text message, the phone wakes up and PIE automatically loads in conjunction with the notification of a new text message. Have no idea why this does this. Have no idea if there is a link between PIE and text messaging in some way. Driving me nuts.

Schap's 4.01 display problem (Now with screenshots)

I was a Black user and just switched to Schap's. Really excellent ROM!!!!
But I found a little glitch with display. The fisrt is certain icons on top. Normally click on the icons on the top will show a bubble box with more option. For example click on the connection "3G" "H" "G" will show you connection time and let you disconnect . But now both Radio icon and the battery icon's bubble box go under the today screen. I can only see the top of the bubble box, like a triangle. But the Volume icon is working normally.
Just now, I found that one of my input method is facing the exact same problem.
Any idea? This is quite frustrating as I have been looking for the whole 4.01 thread but no one is complaing about the same thing. I hope it wasnt just me.

I don't get anything if I press the battery Icon, others display correctly.

I am not sure what goes wrong but since Schap said 4.20 is coming real soon. I guess I might stay a bit. If 4.20 still have the same problem with me. I have to go some other wm6 rom then.
Black is a big disappointment. Any other suggestion?

problem with battery icon
I have similar problem with battery icon. When i click with pen on battery icon, nothing happens. i hope, that version 4.2 will repair this problems with display. Maybe problem is in 3G black dialer from kaiser? I dont know. But Shaps Lite 4.01 is the best and the fastest i ever had.many thanks.

Ahh my fellow newbie. This was my biggest gripe with all the other ROMS I tried too. You are not having low battery issues, your battery meter just needs to be configured to the new rom. To do this install the new ROM and kill the battery and then let it recharge fully.
When I first installed 4.01L my battery would drop to 60% after about 3-4 hours. Yesterday I had my 4.01L Hermes off the charger for 18 hours with bluetooth on all day and was down to 70% when I went to bed @ 4am. No problems since.

What type of phone is in those screenshots? It does not seem to be a Hermes. Did you flash this ROM on another model phone?

hey yea,, Your right, That don't look like a Hermes at all.. looks sorta like a palm pilot or something.

Fade out effect when launching something from TouchFlo

Hey there!
I have seen videos, before the blackstone was released, showing that when you launched some app from touchflo it would fade the screen to black .. I have never seen this on my own blackstone, but it is probably becuase it was to unstable to release it on stock rom .. But is it possible to get ? It looks sweet..

i do not know ! but my suggestion is that it was removed from stock rom, maybe because of laggy performance or something ? Don't know.. but it would be nice to have !

thats possible! that they used liek a beta rom but i don't hope so...
maybe we have this feature but we don't know how to use it ;-)
or its a thing like graphic driver

as you can see, we don't know if this little feature exists...

Still no ideas? I have also noticed that in that video all TF3D tabs have a fade in effect, which was also removed.

afdvanced configuration tool allows animations and such like?

I heard that HTC decided to delete this animations in case of having a better performance. Unfortunately.... I would like to have it in my device.

That devide is a test device (it has the HTC logo on ther upper left corner), and HTC removed it.

This will be such a nice addition, pitty it's taken off.

We know that. We were just wandering if it could be restored some way, maybe extracted from an old ROM or whatsoever...

I would not be one bit surprised if there is such a feature hidden somewhere in Registry with a big bad "0" on the end, waiting for someone to turn it to "1"...

...and which will be discovered when the HD is getting obsolete...

Battery showing % left

Hi everyone...
I am a big fan of this webpage and is now trying to get a battery icon in my taskbar that shows how much its left.
The problem is i have downloaded several taskbars to get that, all of them have been great in everyway exept for showing what i really want
Can anyone help me with this would be very happy if my problem gets solved.
If anyone have a solution for me in another thread i have not found it.

I tried it but still does not work It shows all icons in the taskbar perfectly but does not show how much of the battery that is left. Dont understand why. But thanks anyway

i believe sdkcerts gives you the percentage or allows your phone to read the correct file

I have tried everything and eventully I have the battery icon but then i have another problem. Now it shows both the new battery and the old boring white one.
Anyone have an idea what is wrong?

Try this indicator it's customizable so you can put it over the old ugly one.

yay - somebody listened and developed something for STOCK roms

Hi, I've installed this to my phone and reset it. Now my Touch Flo 3D won't load. Its stuck on the 'Launching Touch Flo 3D' then will occasionaly go on 'Tap here to Launch Touch Flo 3D'
Does any body know how to remove this feature so I can use my phone as normal. Thanks in advance.

It's for version 3.0 (bUILD 32567). Just disable TouchFLO and then uninstrall the cab.

not for the new manila then?

No it's for the standard ROM

Which standard rom are you using.. nobody seems to be having any success here.

I've just uploaded a new CAB, see if this works for you.
It goes without saying that if you have another Background for all TABs this will need to come of first, before installation, this may be the problem

This has already been answered and from a total of about 70 downloads there has only been about 3 or 4 that have had problems.

and 70 downloads and nothing but questions and problems doesnt mean its working..

I appreciate that a few are having problems but in saying this I am left with only my own phone to test this on.

Cool.. I understand.. thats why Im asking what other people are experiencing.. its just that Ive had to hard reset because it messed up my tabs.. turning my weather one into a weird ghost unmarked one.
Not your fault.. I know that sometimes using this stuff will mess my phone up

Did you have a 15 Tab one on before as I can't see how a clean uninstall would have not brought you back to your original tabs.

If you havn'tdone so yet just disable touchflo, then do an uninstall and then reinable touchflo and it will be back up and running

I am using the original ROM (as I have just bought it 2 weeks ago)..
.. and still dose NOT work..
