None i'm afraid unless you can hack it or someone gives you a key.
Its being beta tested by the chosen few at present and apparently if they distribute their keys it stops working for them too.
Posted the cab in the hope one of the devs here may suss out a way to make it work without a key (i don't think its possible though)

I really dont see what deepfish has to do with WM6, but besides that..why in the world would you want to use a browser that runs through a MS proxy for everything, or whatever the correct term is.

Try this
8735644102444130

forget deepfish, as a key-holder, I can assure you it is not up to par. Go with Opera mini 4 beta 2, it is much better browsing experience.

thanks anyway for shearing with us allthough there opera mini 4 beta

One problem.. Jbed Midlet manager no longer works.. and the Tao one sucks. What Java Manager are you using?

Nevermind, saw other post.

I wondered if Mozilla would ever come out with a mobile browser! I gotta check it out.
to me really ... it looks dull .... no like cool graphics,,, no 2008 and beyond look... but it has no flash ... no disrespect.. to you or mozilla but i excepted better from them but who knows .... maybe its only a beta or something
it is beta...
but come on what would you expect from an aplication on a mobile phone... what about the graphs of opera or IE are they much better...
hmm how does this differ from the older versions? because ive 'used' them and it was awful.
first time i tried it, it wouldnt even start, second time in interface was so difficult to navigate...

i have tried it and is working purfect.... i wouldnt make a post with out a reason... and is very stable as well...
I have too on my dash with 6.1 and am not able to browse or use it. it loads up but i cannot navigate through the browser to select anything. hence why i bothered to ask questions
minimo "works" on Windows Mobile 5 and later devices, both pro and standard. the seemingly un-navigable interface can be operated with buttons, but I can never recall what does what and it always just starts doing weird things, after a lot of struggling.
After reinstalling it about 7 times it finally worked by using the soft buttons to navigate through. However, not stable at all to browse at least on my device.
It takes forever to load and closes when underload. Opera Mini FTW.
kept crashing.
It has promise on a ppc. It looks too much like a touch application. Opera Mobile works much better as a full web browser for the Dash at the moment and Mini for quick viewing.
seems like its causing my phone to crash because its a memory hogger by far.
Never got darn thing to load
After installing Minimo would always hang up. Pity as I love Firefox,(but I love Opera too) On puter I use Opera for all research ect in English and Firefox for Portuguese. My vote is with Opera Mini

Opera 9.7

It seems that our desire for flash will be granted after all...
Opera 9.7 is demoed on an SE Xperia X1
http://news.softpedia.com/news/Opera-Mobile-9-7-Comes-at-CTIA-Preview-Available-107903.shtml
Anyone has a CAB already to test it on our HD? )
Or will Opera work with free beta versions like they do for Opera 9.5
nothing floating yet on internet...
we need to wait few more days maybe.
Lets hope it floats up soon!
looks amazing, fingers crossed
Hmm....is opera stepping closer to a proxy browser like that of microsoft's skyfire..? If that's the case then yes we'll have flash in opera, but all your data (usernames/pins/passwords) will go through their servers which I'm sure will have some worried/protesting.
Basically, Opera Turbo is some sort of a compression engine that is able to condense data at a rate of up to 80 percent, a feature that will allow mobile phone carriers to reduce traffic, while end users will be able to enjoy a much faster browsing experience. In addition, the popular browser also comes with better standards support and developer tools, as well as with hardware acceleration, Open GL ES and Google Gears support.

Opera released a final version of 9.5 before skipping to 9.7
Info here:
http://my.opera.com/operamobile/blog/
Through my searches I've found that Opera v9.5.16643 exists for the Rodium so I'm assuming that its being shipped with the latest version.
According to the info ..
"Our core department has released a new version of Opera Presto which contained support for Opera Turbo, more advanced web standards, Gears and several other improvements. We wanted to make this available to our users as soon as possible, and chose to upgrade the core version in Opera Mobile. Updating the browser core is a big step forward for us, and it felt natural to change the version number."
I'm going to give it a go and will feedback.
Nothing yet floating around for Opera 9.7
We still need to wait.
this is a bit of speculation.. but i thought id share:
http://www.fuzemobility.com/opera-97-turbo-to-be-released-tomorrow/
http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/board/...or-windows-mobile--available-this-Monday.html
to articles claiming a release of tommorow
The link for the 9.7 press release is already up on the Opera website, but the release itself isn't up yet:
"Opera Mobile 9.7 beta is ready to rev up your phone"

Does Opera Mini web browser work with tmobile tp2????

Wondering if anyone has been able to install and successfully operate opera mini. This is one of my favorite browsers. When I installed the cab file it didnt load. I then went to the site and tried to download it and it would not open. If anyone has been able to do this or if you are able to find a solution I would be very grateful if you posted a working cab of the browser here in this thread. Thanks in advance!
Yes. it's my browser of choice, although the Jblend java manager sucks. hold on while i find the cab for you
*edit*
download the Opera Mini - large fonts (VGA) cab and put on your phone. You don't need the opera mini tweaks.
This will install Jbed java manager & install Opera Mini for you.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398567
Thanks for the quick response. I went to the link and attempted downloading the cab. The cab file says its 2.90mb but for some reason my tp2 is only dling 1.37mb. So the cab is not working. Anyway you can post the cab file here so I can download it direct? I need another source cause that site isnt cooperating with my phone.
Try Opera Mobile Beta 9.7. It has Turbo. The thing is FAST!!!
I have Opera Mobile. I would like Opera Mini. I just cant seem to download the entire cab from that site
unfortunately the cab is too big to upload. download it from that thread on to your computer & then move it to your phone
wow that sucks. i am going to try downloading it with my Kaiser then. My computer is currently down and awaiting repair so I am screwed for the moment. I cant even flash a new rom :-(

that's why i went with Mini, since the scroll bar doesn't work. Plus i love the syncing bookmarks feature.
I just gave 9.7 beta a try and to be honest I didn' notice a speed boost over the Opera browser that already comes packaged with the tp2. Even with turbo on i noticed nothing. Also its a very glitchy beta version. I miss mini :-( I will probably try the 9.7 once its finished but I still believe mini is the fastest.

I agree, the one that is installed is perfectly fine and you dont have to worry about all these bugs
Just wanted to thank you again for posting the cab. I was finally able to download it using internet exploer and its working great. Just my 2 cents, 3g plus opera mini equals fastest mobile internet experience ever only to be rivaled by wifi which is not so mobile.
You're welcome. I hear ya buddy, I like Opera Mini more than any of the other mobile browsers except Safari. I still use it even though I have full 3G & could Opera Mobile, but Mobile just sucks, right along with IE.

What are the trade-offs between using Jblend vs. Jbed?
It's been a while since I've used Jbed. I remember it had a background mode, which Jblend still doesn't have. And I'm not crazy about how Jblend throws a wobbly when I change screen orientation.
But, beyond that I don't know how the Jblend version on the TP2 compares with the current Jbed. I haven't found any good comparisons that were less than a year or two old. Even the MIDlet Bible is out of date now.
I don't have a particular attachment to Jblend, but saying it "sucks" isn't a real compelling argument against it. Are there any real performance comparisons you're aware of between Jblend and other JVMs?
I base my statement off the fact that if you open/close the keyboard, the whole thing crashes/resets/whatever... That right there was the deal breaker.

I use mini instead of 9.7b w/ turbo.
Why:
Mini is an order of magnitude faster in real life.
9.7b is still buggy as hell, often crashing.
Scrolling on 9.7b is painfully slow and redraws take a long time compared to Mini Opera.
Granted, one must install the above linked JBED+signed Opera Mini+associated quick link to get anywhere near usable installation of Opera Mini, and even after that one has to tweak the font size.
But once this is done, there's no contenst - at least for me. Mini Opera is waaaay faster than Opera 9.7b with turbo enabled.
Faster is not always better
both mini and mobile are great versions of the browser
what I like more from mobile is that is more complete more similar to a laptop browser, yes mini is faster but I still prefer opera mobile!
I have plenty of free memory and RAM to run it smoothly
And let´s wait to have the final stable release! that would be great!
just my opinion,
Mini is not just a little bit faster, its a lot faster. At least for me it is. Sure Mobile has more of a desktop look and feel and offers a more complete webpage experience. Thing is I dont need all the fancy flash animations and things of that nature when I am just trying to quickly check a website like this forum. I have both mini and mobile in case I have a problem with a certain site and even mobile gave me problems which made me resort to IE just to download a cab file.
I do have one problem though. Anyway to make the images larger on mini? I dled the hi res version as suggested and now all pics and certain buttons are very tiny. I tried settings and changed the image quality but this did nothing for the image size. Any solution?

Yeah, that's definitely a nuisance, but so far it hasn't been a deal breaker for me. I use TouchPal as an on-screen keyboard most of the time, although I wouldn't give up the TP2 keyboard...when I feel the need for it, it's great. I still don't know if I'd label Jblend with "sucks", since I don't know how its performance compares overall, but if I changed orientations a lot when browsing and had to keep re-running Opera Mini, I'd be switching JVMs too!

Opera Mini 5 beta is out

http://www.opera.com/mini/next/download/
Does it work on Dash i downloaded earlier and couldn't get past the accept screen?
I think most peeps will still prefer 4.2 if it's going to be the same setup as PPC.
I installed on Dash with 3VO 6.5ROM. It's more or less working fine.
The interface is a major change from previous versions, designed far towards touch screen operation then keypad. It does look slick though.
It seems a little bit slower zooming in and out. But faster page rendering.
I can't find the sync option in this version. Have to manually enter all my bookmarks going to be very painful.
I can't find a way to disable the inline input. so entering URL is a major pain in the butt.
In settings advanced the inline input is, had to deselect as on PPC there keyboard kept popping up and wanted to use own, i'll have to try again in bit with Dash as didn't give long enough time.
From my first impressions on Kaiser they got alot to do to make it more user friendly.....

It is amazing... Fonts are fantastic, the look is awesome...
It is maybe little slower but it is beta so...
I love the full screen option... The best Opera Mini so far...
The BAD: The search is not in English!? No syncing!? At least so far...
Anyway to disable the inline go in Settings > Advanced > Inline Editing > Off
The full screen option exists in previous version too. Just click "*" button twice
That inline editing option has no effect on my dash. After it turned off, it still show an opera mini edit window instead of the java editor.
i have to admit, i love what im seeing. It should be nice to follow this while it comes together. I think it will be interesting to see how the whole bolt vs. opera thing goes down.

Even though you see this, if you push the "select dot", then it should take you to the text input that works for the Dash.
I agree -- so far this beta is pretty awesome. I never thought I'd see speed dial on a screen this small, haha. Works great on my Dash, though I'm a few ROMs behind.
Are you all using 6.5? Just that when i run on Ricky Remade i get to the accept screen and the pointer comes up i'm locked yet 4.2 working a.p.u?

[CAB][OEM][EXT]2010 Opera Mini 5 for Windows Mobile (does not require Java)

Opera just released Opera Mini 5 for Windows Mobile requiring no Java. It runs a lot faster than the Java version and doesnt have that big annoying keyboard as an option. It also automatically connects your data connection taking away any lag when starting up and selecting a bookmark. Here are 3 downloads. A CAB, and an OEM or EXT package for Chefs. OEM for Build OS, EXT for Visual Kitchen.
Opera Mini 5 for Windows Mobile CAB

Thats a shame buddy, just look for a newer device on ebay and flash it for tmobile. You should be able to score at least a touch screen pda for 100 or less.
Edit: I just checked and seems you should be able to use a number pad to type with this version. This is taken from the multitapbream.ini file included in the install.

Hey Ryan, is it up to Opera to release a new Mini 5.1 cab that doesn't require java, or is it something you can cab up?
Excellently working, but I've a question ..
Both Opera 9.7 & Opera 10 can read Arabic words/sentences normally after installing my language package, but Opera Mini shows them in reverse & with letters unconnected. Is it possible that someone knows what how to get over this? Noting that Opera Mini could read Arabic normally on my previous Symbian phones (Nokia).
Thanks in advance.
Is it possible to have English UI when the Reginal Setting in the handset is in another Language like Opera 9.7
Opera Mini 5 + Extra options
do you want to try my opera mini? I hope you like it
