There are one of many ways to do this;
1. The MOST IMPORTANT- is search the forum before posting this for the umpteenth time, which will lead you to the following -
2. Send a pm to tupisdin, and agree a fee either to him or to this forum then he will give you a code
3. Go to imei-check.co.uk - pay 30 Euros to get it unlocked
4. Work on developing one yourself !
but i like unlock my htc free.... is possible???
dont you think everybody likes to unlock it for free?
on the other side, dont you think if you are one of the few people who knows how to do it you might think about charging a few dollars for doing it?
and believe me, it there'd be a free way, there would be a sticky.

It's an automatic message each time a new device is added to the forum. this used to be all GSM phones on this board so it was useful, but the automatic post really isn't a good idea anymore as it's misleading and could almost seem fraudulent for this device.

dont bother yourself for those unlocking service that is not free, just wait for a day of weeks it will comeout.
tupisdin does not profit from these unlocks, he makes people donate to the forum to get thier key, however: the 'auto' posting in new forums should be toned down a little mate, at least until you know the devices actually have a simlock!

I just went through this, myself.
The *easiest* way is to pay for an unlock code, from one of the online vendors. One of our members, Jockey, can also provide them, and seems to have an excellent reputation. A search will turn up 2 bits of information...the first is his thread, and the other is the realization that there is *no* free unlock tool for the Excalibur.
I know...it surprised me, too.
The *cheapest* way to get an unlock code is to request it from TMobile. Some members (me included) have received free unlock codes this way...seems to be a hit or miss proposition. The procedure requires them to link the unlock to a valid TMobile account, so if you have a friend who's willing to intercede, you may have better luck.
Please, keep us apprised of your progress!

It have a Rom from HTC. I wont unlock my HTC.
I try lots of apps, but they not work.
I read threads but all pay for a unlock code.
there exists a unlock generator ?

If you want your phone SIM unlocked, pay the money to support those who put in the time and effort towards this.
I have my sim unlocked, but I find a pity that now everybody make in his hose when i wont it for free, i had a mda pro, everybody help everybody, now you can forget that. People cracking games, windows, Linux. Programs etc. .. Nobody wants a money, they get it from this homepage, and at the team, now everyone wants to have a money for a little ****.
and everyone thinks : pay for a simunlock is just stupid, everyone who not want to help debit die, everyone must help in this scene . Who still wants to help me yet, for others write me, or write her for the other people, to help him, a unlock code is not illegal, it is legal.

heres the problem. to do all this stuff, it takes time and energy of people who have other things to do in their lives. so in order to keep them happy and keep doin what they do, a few bucks here and there is appreciated. you come here with your 3 or 4 posts asking for somthing for free and get mad with the responses.

Read through the Hard SPL thread... You don't need to pay for the 1st rhodium you unlock, only if you unlock more than 1. Besides, 4 bucks is nothing...
Read through the instructions, ask for help on the Hard SPL thread, there are a heap of people who will help you there.

The answer is always the same:
You need to either buy a XTC Clip or go to a phone unlocking shop that uses XTC Clips.

I have been looking for the exact same answer. I bought my HTC in the Netherlands and need to put in a sim card from Germany. I even bought an unlocking code from the official HTC website but they were useless, the code didn't work and they didn't respond to any of my emails. There are so many reviews with people thanking the company for unlocking the phone and their great service. I didn't experience either of these services and don't understand what I am doing wrong. I am no a techno genius and everyone is quick to say it works but no one explains to people like me the simple steps.
I have heard about the clip and will give it a try. Hopefully this will work. I will report back on the results.

The XTC-CLIP unlocks EVERYTHING.....that includes radio,bootloader & simlock
clip is NOT the ONLY way to unlock a wildfire s.. i've just unlocked one with a riffbox.. granted that not everybody has this box but stating that a particular method is the only way leads to confusion.. i'm also pretty sure that the guys on this forum will eventually pull a free unlock app out of the bag at some point as there are some pretty hardcore tinkerers on here..
