Has anyone experience their phone randomly shutting down after upgrading to this ROM?
It just started this yesterday, did it twice, and today it has done it once... Kinda strange... Not at all blaming the ROM just probing for possible replications, anyone else experiencing this? Thanks
Haven't experienced...beeen running it for 1 week now..no problem..have you checked SD / SIM / Battery cover?

Bought the xdaIIS two months ago and was working fine until i used it for more than 10 minutes after which it completely freeze! only way to unfreeze it was to take the battery out! i eventually got it replaced and got a new one this week but still has the same problem!
Does anyone else have the same problem? or has a solution to this?
(the handset has the latest ROM and I have tried a hard-reset without success)
helppppp
Have you tried a Hard Reset with Corporate Mode selected when it first boots?
Mine have behaved so much better, without the O2 Active Tat!
problem solved
yeah that seems to have solved my problem

You probably got another defective battery. I would recommend getting an extended battery from ebay, and also are you running the 6.1 rom?
EXTENDED BATTERY
yes i am is that a problem?
Hi,
I Have a problem with my O2 orbit. The power but will stop responding when the device is locked in standby (power button pressed after locked), the lights on the top of the orbit will continue flashing but it wont turn back on.
I thought it was a curropt OS so i reflashed the original wm5 back onto the orbit and it seemed ok, so I then flashed the o2 release of wm6 onto it, and then started installing all my programs. Soon after this i locked it and put it into standby, about 20mins later i couldn't switch it back on. Thinking it may be one of my progrmas that has caused this I hard resetes but same thing happened again!
This is not the first time this has happened to me, 4 months after i first got the orbit (about this time last year) the same thing happened and O2 replaced it. Then in easter it happened again, O2 sent it off for repair and it came back apparently fixed. But here we are 8 months later with the same problem.
Has anybody else experienced this? Does anyone know a solution? Is it a problem with the software? Or maybe the firmware? Or is it a hardware problem and I am screwed?
Thanks in advanced if anyone can help!
Futher Developments
I have been experimenting on different roms with the problem, i loaded up Carty's Fastest WM6.1 rom, and the orbit worked. I slowly reinstalled the programs i had installed. The program seemed to work, then when S2U2 was installed it seemed to die again.
I previously flashed back to WM5 and then reupgraded back to WM6 and only installed the SDHC driver an hour later. Before this the device seemed ok, but then sometime after (not sure as it was in my pocket) it died again.
So I am unsure if it is a problem with hardware or if it is the S2U2 causing it, or the SDHC? or both?
Has anyone had any of these problems? I'd really like some help, I would hate to have to keep using my stone age nokia!
I GIVE UP!!!
Ok, the final verdict is that it must be a hardware issue. I have tried just running normal roms, and i get the same problems when no software is installed.
When i return home after new years i shall take into o2 and hope they can either fix or replace it for the 3rd time. Im still shocked that this has happened 3 times to me and it seems to of never happened to anyone else on this site, strange!
Oh well, it could be worse! Thanks, though no-one really helped, thanks just for the existence of such a brilliant site!!!!
Hey guys,
Ive ran into a few bugs. I want to see if anyone else experienced these so i can tell if its just a bug or a phone problem
the only thing ive had happen:
- when battery went low, all the phones memory disappeared (apps, contacts, accounts)
- I had the phone in my pocket, it some how got shut off ( could have been my accidently pressing/holding the power button) and when i turned it one, the phones memory was once again, gone...when i did a battery pull, everything return and the phone went back to normal.
anyone have this happen before? Not sure if its the surround, or a wp7 bug, or my phone has a hardware problem.
this only happened once, but i do not want to wait and see if it happened again. I rather just get it replaced.
Thanks
Marc
EDIT: looks like some people with the Samsung focus over wt wpcentral.com experienced similar problems. Starting to think its OS related

Do you have an add-on MicroSD card installed?
No sir,
I do not think the Surround works the same way as the focus does with expandable memory
Hi all,
About a month ago, I flashed my X with the cyanogenmod rom but ever since then about 2-3 times a week I would go and check my mobile and the phone would have been switched off and it would take me 2 minutes of holding down the power button to get the phone to boot again, The battery is fully charged and was working perfectly fine when I received it from O2.
Not sure why it's doing this, it has made me think I would like to go back to old to stock ROM as I got from O2 but Silly me didn't make a backup !
Can anyone help me with this problem
Kind regards
James
Anything guy's? really causing me issues.
