whit every rom I've tried in wm6, my pda tries (and connect) to connect via gprs... even if I don't tell it to do into the appz I've installed (spb weather ecc).
I disconnect and after some time (very short time) it tries again to connect... so I have to delete the connection and recreate it every time I need to connect myself to internet...
Is this normal???

Need to turn off the Keep Alive
You need to turn of the "Keep Alive" setting for the connection.
Run your favourite Registry Editor, and go to the following location:
HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\[GUID]\Connections\[Connection Name]
The GUID will be unique to your device, so look at the entries .... you will eventually find one that contains your Connection Name. In the Key, you will see a DWORD called AlwaysOn.
For Keep Alive:
AlwaysOn = DWORD 0x1 (1)
Turn off Keep Alive:
AlwaysOn = DWORD 0x0 (0)

i've found the line you suggested but it's already with 0 (not active) even if is still connecting automatically to the gprs network.
now i've tried to set it always on and, as soon as I softresetted the device, the connection starts.
so... trying to re-set to 0 but is still connecting to internet...

It is normal in WM5 & 6 for Activesync to alway want to have an open conenction, especially if you have an Exchange Hosted email account.
The easiest way to control this is to use Bandswitch which allows you to switch connection protocols and also to allow/disallow, & switch on/off all the data connections.

Well I thought it was REALLY for free.
What you mean by autodisconnect? Is it to switch off phone, or switch off the PDA, or disconnect gprs connection, or what?
For the phone you have psshutXP
for the data you have NoData from Modaco
Both for free, use the search function to find them!

Hmm is there such a cab that can auto-disconnect voice calls after say, 10 min etc?
For example..my current call plan gives me free 10 min calls to other mobiles on 3 (Australia) and it would be handy to have the phone disconnect automatically on calls where I dial out after 10 min...
Any ideas?

In my personal experience GB SOFT TWEAK works greatly even on WM6... doesn't it?
Justed added Kavana 080408 and active sync does not work I need to switch the keyboard back to normal and cannot do it because I cannot get active sync to work.

That's a good question, indeed!
look for "CMInternetSharing.exe" in windows folder....
or settings/Connections..there should be an icon Wifi IS

It's looking promising, but unfortunately it doesn't work on my stock rom 1.56.401.0 (43972) WWE.
I see it works on Dutty's...
I hope someone fixes it.
i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong but i installed it and tried it but my laptop is not see it as a wireless network.also tried it with another laptop and its still not showing up. any suggestions? i installed the program on my device not my memory card.
You probably have a stock ROM, and it doesn't work on it....

I am loving the program but I was looking for WPA2 and AES support but I think it is missing. Could you add that or point me in the correct direction to fix up the files? Thanks in advance.

Same trouble with my hd2 not importing settings from email, try to change extension to XML but didn't help either. I'm kind of missing something or it

Hi all,
I am having a few issue with MMS setup, my device is imported so when I select default APNs, it just leaves me with a blaknk screen.
I have manually added the details for the Web APN and that is working fine.
But when I add an MMS Apn settings, Im still unable to send MMS.
Am i missing something? Is there a specific section where I setup the MMS option besides the Settings --> Mobile connection --> APN section?

Fixed It
I worked it out.
The APN Type needs to be set to Default for the First APN
and the MMS type needs to be set to MMS.
If you dont have Default typed in for your main APN, the second one doesn't work.
