Ok, I'd like to upgrade my Orange SPV M700 to WM Mobile 6, all I really ask is that I have the same functionality that I currently have (except I want to try out WM 6). Can anyone suggest what ROM I should be looking for, hyperlinks would be appreciated too.

all apps will work. some of them (like flash player or acrobat reader) are not included in the roms but is really easy to add them using the appropriate cab.
the only major issue (for me at least) is the quick battery drain after a data session.
as a personal preference, i will recommend mun_rus roms.
the first thing you should do is to read the dedicated threads for the roms. you can find all the info there... download links, bugs and solutions, screenshots...

Ok, I have to admit that I'm lost. I don't know which ROM to choose but also I don't have time to try all of them
What I need:
- VGA (MUST HAVE)
- O2 UK settings (I'm using GPRS, don't need video calls, I'd like to have MMS!)
- BT
- stability (but actually I don't mind trying beta version and doing SR on the daily basis)
- speed
Ok, that's what I need. Anything extra is a bonus but I don't care about skins, look&feel etc. I like simple forms, fast, usable.
Can anyone help me please?
At this moment I'm considering Helmi's ROM or one of those PDAVIET's WM6 as possible candidates. I'm not sure, but somewhere I've seen that VGA hack doesn't work with newest HELMI's ROM.

if u want stability as the main priority you will have to setle for a 3.3/3.2 wm5 rom... either helmis or indiras
both of them are really excellent roms
if u want wm6 u can pick up helmis wm6. which i consider is very good... PDAVIET all versions are just mild modifications.. while the core rom remainsthe same in all of them
as far as vga mode is considered u can always install it as an add on

RADIO ROM IS VERY MUCH OPERATOR DEPENDANT... SO YOU WILL HAVE TO CHECK IF 1.14 WORKS GOOD FOR YOU ELSE 1.13 IS A SAFE BET... IT WORKS GOOD

I just cooked WM5 based on original Dopod 838pro ROM. I removed all of the garbage inside so the ROM is really clean and fast. I need some advice for this, so please test this ROM and give me a feedback..
It's already contain HardSPL v7 by olipro and 1.41 radio rom, and newest IPL.
I removed the extended ROM, so you can use the extended ROM space for something useful. The storage usage is about 3Mb only, the rest is free.
I also had some trouble with this: anyone can give me an instrustion how to make the PreAutorun.exe and PreConfig.txt work? coz usually it will do some cust after hard reset, but mine is not working. that's the only problem.

The lack of feedback is almost certainly related to the fact that this is the WM6 forum and your advertising your cooked WM5 rom. Not many people are going to be particularly interested here, try posting in the Hermes Upgrading forum. Might have more luck there
No screenshots, no information, parts not functional, etc. What were you expecting to see?

If you are looking for wwe with that windows build you got only udk6 and pdaviet 20 and both are good, but i find the latter much faster.

TouchFLO: What exactly does this do? How do I use it? I have installed a rom with TouchFLO, and can't seem to figure out how to make it "go".
Cube: I assume this has something to do with Touchflo. Since most roms seem to offer a version without it, I imagine it has some undesirable feature - if so, what is it?
Vanilla Rom - whats the diff between a Vanilla rom and a full rom? WWE?
Any real different between WM6 and WM6.1?

Vanilla means, there is no bloatware applications in it. All unnecessary apps are removed giving you maximum storage. (You have to find and install the CABs yourself).
WWE is Worldwide English, the language of the ROM.

I'm sure everyone hates these topics, but I'm just looking for advice on what ROM to use as I've looked and can't really see any that suit my needs.
I'm after a ROM similar to Duttys 6.1 (E.g, it appears "stock"), but with the new calculator, notification manager etc from the Topaz, TF3D2, WM 6.5. There are a few ROMs that do include all these, but most include third party apps that wouldn't be in a "real" HTC ROM, or have custom TF3D2/tray icons.
Are there any ROMs available that suit this critera, or will I have to cook my own?
EDIT: Phone is GSM, and is currently running Dutty's ROM, and HardSPL. My radio and splash are fine.
i'd appriciate a good recommendation too. need a similar rom for my missus' diamond. normally i'd just try out a few but she hates setting up her phone again when i flash new roms so i have to reflash it as little as possible!
Just found this ROM, which would be perfect if it came without the extras (Then I can install which extras I want, i.e. YouTube).
looks good, seems to tick all the boxes, might give that a try!
